2006 Audi A8l Fully Loaded, Leather, Hted/ac Seats- Rear A/c, Nav Cd, Quottro-nr on 2040-cars
Prairieville, Louisiana, United States
This was the fully loades vehicle in 2006. It features heated and air conditioned seats with rear ac controls. The driver and passanger seats both have a message function. The "L" gives you extra leg room in the back seat which is wonderful on those long trips. This is a smooth vechicle with new tires (less than 5k miles) and only minor improfections in the interior. The engine is a 4.2L V8 SFI. quottro. It handles greats. The tires are very new. There is a small vibration at about 50 mph that appeared after I got the new tires. The dealership balanced the tires again and says one of the rims is a little bent causing the problem. It doesn't appear at any other speed and doesn't cause me any problems. I am selling because I have a truck and im working alot for the next 6 months and want to use the money to complete a home project. This is a head turning car. It is adored by all who ride and is comfortable to drive and ride. The messaging Chairs work wonders on a long drive. The extra length not only gives my adult passengers some extra space but the children are able to lounge and enjoy a trip of any length. Im located near Baton Rouge and New Orleans Airports. I happy to meet at the airport or meet at a neutral point. Your deposit with be returned if the car is not as you expected on inspection. I would consider a delivery if you cover travel expenses. Translogic 164: Driving the fuel cell vehicles of the 2014 LA Auto Show
Wed, Nov 26 2014The LA Auto Show is known for its environmentally friendly vehicle debuts. At last year's show, hydrogen fuel cell concepts from Honda and Toyota joined a lease-ready Hyundai Tucson FCEV to cast a green hue over the convention center. This year, automakers took us a step closer to a fuel cell future by offering drives of their hydrogen-electric hybrids. Translogic host Jonathon Buckley takes a ride in the Toyota Mirai, which is headed for production in 2016. He follows that with a spin in the Volkswagen Passat HyMotion and the Audi A7 Sportback h-tron quattro concept. Which of these fuel cell vehicles holds the most promise? Tune in to find out. Spyker C8 Aileron to come back with supercharged power?
Fri, 08 Mar 2013The new B6 Venator wasn't the only vehicle on display at the Spyker booth at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. The company still has its C8 Aileron on offer, and Road & Track has word of a potential powerplant upgrade for the long-running machine.
Since its introduction in the year 2000, the C8 has used a 4.2-liter V8 engine sourced from Audi, which, in base form, offers up 400 horsepower. Though it's a great powerpant, that's simply not enough power in this day and age - after all, if a car is going to be called super, it needs to offer more ponies than something as mundane as the Ford Mustang GT.
According to R&T, John Walton, Chief Commercial Officer at Spyker, indicated that a new engine supplier may be in the works. "[The Audi-sourced V8] really hasn't got enough bang for the buck. To be honest, every supercar needs to have something that begins with a '5' today. That's why we're supercharging the car in the future, which will take it to over 500-hp," said Walton.
Stanford goes from Pikes Peak to Thunderhill with autonomous Audi TTS
Mon, Feb 16 2015In the years since Stanford University engineers successfully programmed an Audi TTS to autonomously ascend Pikes Peak, the technology behind driverless cars has progressed leaps and bounds. Back then the Audi needed 27 minutes to make it up the 12.42-mile course – about 10 minutes slower than a human driver. These days, further improvements allow the vehicle to lap a track faster than a human. The researchers recently took their autonomous TTS named Shelley to the undulating Thunderhill Raceway Park, and let it go on track without anyone inside. The Audi reportedly hit over 120 miles per hour, and according to The Telegraph, the circuit's CEO, who's also an amateur racing driver, took some laps as well and was 0.4 seconds slower than the computer. To make these massive technological advancements, the Stanford engineers have been studying how racers handle a car. They also hooked up drivers' brains to electrodes and found the mind wasn't doing as much cognitively as expected. It instead operated largely on muscle memory. "So by looking at race car drivers we are actually looking at the same mathematical problem that we use for safety on the highways. We've got the point of being fairly comparable to an expert driver in terms of our ability to drive around the track," Professor Chris Gerdes, director of Stanford's Revs Program, said to The Telegraph. With progress coming so rapidly, it seems possible for autonomous racecars to best even elite drivers at some point in the near future. Related Video:
