Audi A7 Supercharged on 2040-cars
Carthage, Tennessee, United States
Up for sale is a 2013 Audi A7 Premium Plus edition with approximately 40,700 hwy miles. This car is in near perfect condition and is extremely clean inside and out!!! You will not be disappointed! This Audi has all of the bells and whistles... The heated seats, blind spot alert, navigation, back up camera, automatic lifting rear hatch, LED accent lighting throughout the car, and more. I have 100% feedback on Ebay and have sold several vehicles previously. I pride myself on trying to be as descriptive as possible so you know what you're getting before you show up. I've bought from dealers before online and always ask specific questions about the condition and usually get the response...yeah yeah everything's fine and then when I get there the car has a huge dent somewhere or a deep scratch. So feel confident with me that you're getting an accurate description. With that said, there is always the chance that someone might notice something that I didn't...but I try to cover everything I can. Mechanical 10/10 Not a single mechanical issue with the car and it runs perfect. Oil changed, brakes changed, fluids checked, etc. Interior 9.5/10I am being extremely critical by giving the interior a 9.5 instead of a 10, but there are a couple of very very minor creases on the edge of the driver's side seat. You can see these clearly in the photos. Not nearly as noticable in person. Exterior 9/10There are a few minor rock specks on the front bumper. Sitting or kneeling in front of the bumper you can see them, but 10 ft away you can't. I was unable to get a photo that would show up on camera.

Audi reveals driver lineup and livery for Rolex 24 at Daytona
Thu, 02 Jan 2014Audi has announced driver lineups for its customer teams running the R8 LMS GTD in this year's Rolex 24 at Daytona. The Rolex 24 is the first event for the inaugural season of the new United SportsCar Championship series, which merges the old Grand-Am Series with the American Le Mans Series. The new series kicks off January 25.
Flying Lizard Motorsports, which has traditionally been known for repping the Porsche 911, will campaign a pair of R8 coupes, while GMG Racing, Paul Miller Racing and Fall-Line Motorsports will run one car each. A number of drivers on each team are Audi Sport factory drivers, hot shoes like Oliver Jarvis for Fall-Line and Filipe Albuquerque and Dion von Moltke for Flying Lizard, while there are also a few Audi Sport customer drivers.
"We have a fantastic group of racing partners and drivers this season and look forward to defending last year's Daytona win," said president of Audi of America, Scott Keogh. "The successes of the R8 in endurance racing are a testament to the engineering found in every Audi on the road today."
Audi releases quartet of A3 commercials, likely headed for Super Bowl
Fri, 27 Dec 2013With the announcement from Audi that it's new A3 would be the star of this year's Super Bowl advertising efforts still relatively fresh, it comes as a bit of a shock that what may be game-bound ads for the new small car are already starting to show up.
A3forums found four ads for the new A3, all of which are currently unlisted on YouTube, that play on the idea of young drivers saving themselves for the right luxury car. The spots are amusing, although we'll admit that we've seen better from Audi. Each spot plays like a clip from a documentary, with owners of cars from BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Lexus talking about their regrets when it came to buying a luxury car, rather than waiting for the A3.
We've got all four videos below, so take a look now, as we're betting they'll be pulled before too long.
Audi says new 48 volt micro-hybrid system improves fuel economy, paves way for electrification
Mon, Aug 25 2014Most cars use a 12-volt system to power their electrical components. But, with more and more electric bits and bobs being added to new vehicles, a dozen volts is looking a bit weak these days. In fact, Audi says that standard 12-volt systems are being stretched "to their very limits." Enter 48 volts. If used in a car that gets 40 mpg, that would translate to around 43.5 mpg. Audi is testing a supplemental 48-volt electric system in two prototype vehicles – modified mild-hybrid versions of the A6 TDI and the RS 5 TDI – in order to add in more electric technology (an electric compressor, for example, to improve acceleration) and "convenience systems for dynamic chassis control." Audi says it has more applications in the pipeline, but the overall gist is that the German automaker sees 48 volts as an "important building block in electrification strategy." As you can see in the picture above (click to enlarge), the RS 5 TDI concept uses a li-ion battery installed in the back of the car and an alternator to provide 48 volts when the engine is off. Audi says that the 48-volt system can save up to 0.4 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers. To put that into US numbers, if used in a car that gets 40 miles per gallon today, that would translate into a bump up to around 43.5 mpg. The Advanced Lead Acid Battery Consortium (ALABC) is also working on a 48-volt system to improve fuel economy and we've got a deep dive of Audi's electric turbocharger here. Even more powerful and efficient – the new 48-volt technology from Audi Important building block in electrification strategy More voltage and more power for new technologies Scalable platform concept suitable for wide-ranging uses Ingolstadt, August 25, 2014 – Audi is to upgrade part of its vehicle electrical system from twelve to 48 volts. The move represents another technical building block for facilitating the integration of new automotive technologies while increasing the power and efficiency of its cars. "We are using the full bandwidth of electrification in our drive principles strategy. Running part of the vehicle electrical system at 48 volts plays a central role in this," commented Prof. Dr. Ulrich Hackenberg, Member of the Board of Management for Technical Development at Audi. "It enables us to make more energy available.
