2014 Nissan GT-R Track Pack squares off against Audi R8 V10 Plus

The team over at Motor Trend has pitted the new Audi R8 V10 Plus against the Nissan GT-R. While both of the bright red all-wheel-drive supercars are comparably matched in power output, the similarities end there. Audi offers a mid-engine aluminum coupe with a naturally aspirated V10 that spits out 550 horsepower. Nissan shows up with a more traditional coupe equipped with a 545-horsepower twin-turbocharged V6 at the front of the car.
The Head-to-Head video takes both cars to the Streets of Willow Springs in the California desert for some track work with professional racing driver Randy Pobst behind the wheel. After a day at the track, the pair head to the local mountains for some spirited real-world driving. One dominates on the circuit, while the other earns back its credibility in the canyons. We won't tell you which coupe comes out on top, but we think you may be surprised. Follow the link below to watch for yourself.

MTM Audi RS6 Clubsport might be overkill for grocery shopping

As automotive journalists, we're biologically wired to love station wagons. We really don't have a choice. And while we prefer brown, diesel-powered, manual-transmissioned long-roofs, we suppose a 750-horsepower Audi RS6 Avant would be just dandy. This is the MTM RS6 Clubsport, and as we mentioned, it's very powerful. That's thanks to a modified version of Audi's critically acclaimed 4.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V8. While 750 hp out of just 4.0 liters is impressive, 697 pound-feet of torque is an equally big accomplishment. And if that's not enough, MTM has managed to shave nearly 200 pounds of body fat from the big wagon. Needless to say, it's very, very fast. MTM has displayed a degree of aesthetic restraint, eschewing the gaudy body kit favored by some other tuners and simply opting for a questionable paint job. The 21-inch wheels look good, although with the smattering of rubber around them, we wouldn't bet on a comfortable ride. As for the cabin, well, MTM got a bit out of hand. It's very, very orange. The seats are essentially carbon-fiber shells lined with bits of orange, leather-wrapped padding here and there. Orange, quilted-leather in the door panels, center armrest and on cushions on the side of the center console – a nice touch we wish more automakers would add to their performance cars – contrasts nicely with the black plastics and carbon fiber found on the rest of the dash and center console. That said, we aren't crazy about space for passengers, thanks to the large cage that's there to boost structural stiffness. Audi takes cars that park themselves to a whole new level

Autonomous cars are impressive displays of in-car technology, but what exactly would the benefit of such systems be for the average driver? Audi has answered that question by showing off its Piloted Parking system for the Audi Connect at CES 2013.
Installed on this Audi A7, Piloted Parking allows a driver to drop themselves off and have the car autonomously drive away on its own and find its own parking spot. The car can then later be retrieved by "calling" it back with a specially designed smartphone app. We'd be lying if we said this didn't bring back memories of Michael Knight summoning KITT with his wristwatch. The most impressive part of this car might be the fact that the car is fully autonomous but doesn't have any obvious sensors or monitors on the exterior of the car like many other self-driving cars have.
