For Sale is my beautiful and perfectly running Audi A6 quattro Wagon.
This car is awesome in the snow and on the summer roads. This car is
silver with black leather interior in great condition. It offers heated
front and back seats, tinted windows, power everything, 6 disc changer,
chrome accents, Automatic transmission that shifts flawlessly, 2.8
liter V6 engine with a 16/23 MPG rating. The tires have plenty of
thread left on them. This Quattro grips the road through the snow,
rain, and all road conditions.
You and your family will be safe in this vehicle. I would and have driven this vehicle on trips that were in excess on 1500 miles each way ( from Albany to St. Petersburg Florida ). This vehicle is in tip top shape. Due the age of this vehicle it is being sold in an "AS IS" status There are two items with this vehicle that I want to disclose: There is a check engine light on the dash (emission sensor, easy fix) and there is a dent/ push in on the passenger side rear door, there are minor bubbling of paint in a couple of areas that is normal for this region. The mileage 150K and conditioning (inside and out) of this wonderful car are better that normal for a 2001 all wheel drive vehicle. Is Audi getting complacent and suffering from brain drain?
Wed, 27 Nov 2013The argument is made in a Reuters article: Audi is falling behind other luxury brands, such as Mercedes-Benz and BMW, due to a lack of research-and-development spending and "brain drain," or the migration of top executives and R&D chiefs to other parts of the Volkswagen Group. Reuters notes that Audi's current R&D chief is the third in 16 months.
Audi, which contributed to 40 percent of VW Group's $11.6 billion in profit the first nine months of the year, is delivering cars at a record pace: 1.31 million were delivered from January to October 2013 versus BMW's 1.35 million. Yet Audi, Reuters reports, doesn't have a halo car akin to BMW's new electrified i3 and i8 or an answer to Mercedes' plug-in-hybrid S-Class, and the R&D spending at Audi is less than BMW and Mercedes by a fair margin. It's noted in the article, however, that Audi benefits from other R&D spending within VW Group.
Reuters mentions that BMW "trumpets its new 'i' series" and the new Mercedes CLA and GLA ranges are winning "rave reviews" as part of its argument that Audi's recent lack of technological innovation could hurt future sales. Those cars do pack tons of new technology, some of which are firsts for mainstream production cars. But last time we checked, the i3 could be causing BMW's stock to slide, the CLA isn't receiving the rave reviews that Reuters would have you believe and the GLA hasn't been reviewed yet.
Audi to blitz 1.5M sales goal two years ahead of schedule
Thu, 25 Jul 2013Audi doesn't seem to be having any trouble of hitting its relatively audacious sales goal of two million units by 2020 - it's already on pace to eclipse 1.5 million sales two years ahead of schedule. According to Reuters, the Volkswagen-owned brand rode a wave of sales in China and the US to pace the early goal, with 780,500 deliveries at the halfway point of 2013. Particularly hot models include the Q5 crossover seen above and A4 sedan. Unless things go poorly in the second half of the year, 1.5 million sales shouldn't be an issue.
That leaves it trailing BMW by just 24,000 units for the global luxury sales crown. If sales trends keep up, Audi will succeed in hitting its goal of two million units and besting its cross-country rival in Munich. Audi CEO Rupert Stadler smells blood, telling German newspaper Handelsblatt, ''We have overtaken Mercedes-Benz and we are now closer to BMW than ever before."
Audi R18 E-tron gets new livery, mixes it up in city traffic [w/video]
Wed, 26 Mar 2014The 24 Hours of Le Mans is still months away, but Audi Sport apparently can't wait to get started. It has just debuted the new livery for its 2014 R18 E-tron Quattro with a public drive through the streets of the town of Le Mans, while simultaneously announcing that it has a new, larger engine.
Factory driver Tom Kristensen piloted the prototype about six miles from the cathedral in the city center to the famous race track and completed a lap of a shortened version of the course. The car wears a new color scheme, which is similar to what it has raced with in the past, employing a combination of white, silver and red, plus a touch of black. Portions of the car are also reflective to show up better at night. The last time we saw the R18, it was displayed in a black and red livery. The team has also revealed that the 2014 will be powered by a new 4.0-liter diesel V6, an increase of about 300 cubic-centimeters from last season.
Audi Sport said that the stunt was inspired by the classic days of the race when drivers used to arrive to the city in the same cars they were going to race. Even back then, it's doubtful they arrived several months early, though. The 2014 R18 will make its competition debut on April 20 at the Six Hours of Silverstone.
