For Sale is my beautiful 2000 A6.  Immaculate condition.  I am 2nd owner, since 2001.  Non-smoker, garaged always.  Car Waxed every Year.  Well maintained, with Mobil 1 always.  This car has always run stock tuning. I have pages of receipts, detailing the upgrades to this car.  Notably, in 2009 at 129k on car, pulled engine due to typical failing turbo.  This event turned into a complete mechanical renewal of the car.  I swapped in a beautiful 2002 engine with 56k miles.  Many parts upgraded in the process, here are a few:

New/rebuilt hybrid turbos with full K04 chra, and larger shaft and bearings (bulletproof)
New silicone turbo hoses
Modified down-pipes
New VAST Kevlar clutch, with lightweight aluminum flywheel
New clutch slave cylinder
New short shifter with all new shift linkage bushings
New APR diverter valves
New K&N filter with modified "cold air" intake
New fuel pump
New Audi water pump/ timing belt
Gaskets, seals, belts, fluids, ......
New Eibach Sport springs
New Bilstein Sport struts
Full new suspension links
stainless steel brake lines
New HD tie-rod ends
New 17" OZ rims with summer tires
Also includes original rims with winter tires

This car is fast, but well-sorted out, my wife loves driving it.  It is understated performance, a true drivers car.  Car is mechanically perfect, but will not pass emissions if tested in your state, due to sport down-pipes.  The body and interior are beyond expectation for a 2000 car.  Only two small dings on passenger fender, and passenger door. That is it. Hopefully you can see in pics, no big deal.  I have owned this car since 15k miles, and can answer any questions you have.  This car needs NOTHING, but a new home, as I have started a new project.

I accept PayPal, or cash in person.  I live 20 miles from MSP airport and Mall of America, can meet for vehicle pick up.

Audi scores first CA autonomous car permit

Wed, 17 Sep 2014

Audi apparently knows how to get to the front of a line when it comes to driverless vehicles. The German automaker had the honor of being the very first company to receive one of California's new autonomous vehicle driving permits. It was a perfect followup to it being among the earliest ones to get a similar permit in Nevada a few years ago.
Getting the California permit is a big deal for the automaker because the state is also home to Audi's Electronics Research Lab. Among its current projects, Audi is working on the human-machine interface to communicate whether the person or vehicle is actually controlling the driving. All of this hard work is building toward offering autonomous motoring in freeway conditions in the next five years, Audi claims.
Obviously, autonomous vehicles from companies like Google have been testing in California for a while, but the new permits are meant to safeguard public safety when testing the driverless cars in public. The new rules include things like always having a person able to take control and more stringent standards like registering each autonomous car and the eligible drivers with the state. Any models testing on public roads also have to carry at least $5 million in insurance in case of injury, death or property damage.

Startup will make your Audi A4 self-driving for $10k [w/video]

We are on the cusp of the next generation of semi-autonomous driving technology becoming affordable. Adaptive cruise control is already trickling down to the mass market, and the more sophisticated systems found on vehicles like the Mercedes-Benz S-Class are clearly coming, as well. If you're a little adventurous, live in California and drive an Audi, you might be able to upgrade to the next stage of driverless tech even sooner. A San Francisco start-up called Cruise Automation is launching an aftermarket autopilot system called the RP1 for $10,000, with deliveries starting in 2015.
The RP1 is designed for 2012 and newer Audi A4 and S4 models. Although, Cruise CEO Kyle Vogt told Autoblog in an email: "There's no reason we can't expand to other cars, and we will." The system includes a sensor pod on the roof containing cameras, radar and other sensors to scan the road ahead. It then sends data to a small computer mounted on the side of the trunk. The desired inputs are then made by actuators for the steering, brakes and throttle to control the car. A button in the cabin activates the autopilot and controls the desired speed. Not completely unlike Audi's own, developmental, semiautonomous system.
At this point, the RP1 is somewhere between an adaptive cruise control system and an autonomous vehicle. It can control all of the cars inputs and even bring it down to a complete stop and then accelerate again. However, it only works on select highways in California. "We use geofencing to limit the areas of operation to segments of highway in which we've collected enough data to ensure our customers' safety," said Vogt to Autoblog.
