Selling because my growing family is getting too big for this amazing car.

This Audi is amazing and has worked so well for what we needed when we needed it.  The extra cargo space in the trunk from being a wagon made it so much better than a regular A6.  One of the best things about it is that it isn't a minivan.  When I bought this car it had right around 170,000 miles on it and was in the same condition that it is in now plus a new set of tires at 190,000, and the service that was done to it (which I have receipts for): the fuel pump was replaced around 176.000 miles. I replaced the spark plugs and air filter with a K&N filter at 185,000 miles and the timing belt, water pump, cabin filter, thermostat were all replaced at 200,000 miles, $2,600 worth of service. The brakes were just replaced at 204,000 miles with upgraded rotors and new pads, also the brake fluid was flushed front to back with new fluid.  The oil changes have come every 5,000 miles with full synthetic motor oil.  If the car goes over 205,000 before its sold it will have a fresh oil change.

There are a  few cosmetic blemishes on the car due mostly to wear and tear from previous owner.  It is mechanically sound and drives great.  I'm saddened that I have to sell it but I know who ever gets it will enjoy it.  I have had a few Audi's and they are solid performers, do not let the miles fool you and make you miss out on a great deal.  This model has ALL the options, it has the cold weather package with heated seats both front AND rear and they all work very well, there is nothing better than a toasty tush on a cold morning.  The moon roof is a nice feature, and all the window shades are in good working order.  All three cup holders are there and are in perfect working order.  All buttons on the electric seats work, and the lumbar support is a nice feature to have for longer trips. I have two sets of keys that both work.

This is a great car for any family.  It seats three comfortably in the back seat - that is even with two car seats.  And its not a minivan, that is how I sold the idea to my wife.

This car works wonderfully in the snow too.  The Quattro system inspires confidence, it is quite sprightly in any environment and handles very well, the new brakes bite hard and were slightly surprising after they were installed on the amount of additional performance.

The cars AC is ice cold and the heater takes less than a half mile to get warm when moving and under 10 minuets when warming up.  The heated seats are warm before I leave my block (less than 1/8th of a mile).

The car has been garage kept and adult owned and all major service was performed by a certified Audi mechanic that I have used for years on both Audis and Volkswagens.

If you have any questions about the vehicle please email me and I will get you the answer if I know it. Email for more pictures if needed.

The car is for sale locally, if it sells it will be removed.

Audi Q3 production begins in Spain

2012 Audi Q3 - Click above for high-res image gallery
It wasn't that long ago that Audi had no SUVs in its lineup - aside from the A6 Allroad Quattro - despite being known for its all-wheel-drive vehicles. But that's all changed, just as it has for BMW and Porsche. The Q7 was followed by the Q5, and now the Q3 has started production as well.
The first Q3 rolled off the assembly line today at the plant in Martorell, Spain. The facility belongs principally to Audi's sister-company Seat, but has gone through a considerable expansion - funded by both Audi and Seat - to prepare for the Q3's production.

Le Mans champion Allan McNish retires from LMP1 racing

Tue, 17 Dec 2013

Having won the 24 Hours of Le Mans three times, the American Le Mans Series title another three times and, most recently, the FIA World Endurance Championship, Allan McNish doesn't have much left to prove. Which is why he's retiring, ending this stage of his 33-year driving career on a high note.
In a statement just released by McNish himself and his team at Audi, the Scotsman said "I've had a fantastically successful time with Audi and feel it's the right time to step back from Le Mans sports-prototype racing and to look at other opportunities."
Just what those other opportunities might be is another matter. He's raced in DTM, Formula One and the International Formula 3000 series, where he won two races in 1990. McNish, 44, is also part of the BBC Radio's F1 commentary team, serves as president of the Scottish Motor Racing Club and is often called upon by the FIA to act as a grand prix race steward. Audi says he'll continue to be part of the team, just not in the driver's seat. Given his success in endurance racing, he's surely got a wide variety of opportunities to pursue, and we're looking forward to seeing where he lands.

EVO takes flight in BMW's sultry i8

Mon, 15 Sep 2014

Electric cars and hybrids are here to stay, much to the apparent dismay of some auto enthusiasts, but that doesn't mean they have to represent the death of enjoyable driving. Granted, the initial run of hybrids in the US like the Honda Insight and Toyota Prius weren't exactly tailor-made for aggressive folks behind the wheel, but things are clearly changing. In its latest video, Evo takes a look at three examples from Europe's new crop of electrified vehicles to show that the future of fun motoring is safe and sound.
Evo editor Henry Catchpole kicks things off with one of the most bizarre EVs of the bunch, the tiny Renault Twizy. Its low power and 50-mile-per-hour top speed might make it miles away from a hot hatch, but there's still fun to be had in extracting the most from this little city car. Next up is the Audi A3 E-Tron, which isn't technically available yet. It's a step in the right direction of eventually creating an affordable, fun-to-drive hybrid hot hatch.
However, the main event is Catchpole getting some seat time in the BMW i8. The Bimmer can really fly -literally in this case - and the butterfly-door coupe offers a clear look at the prospects for electrified sports cars. It might not have the power of hybrid supercar contemporaries like the LaFerrari or Porsche 918 Spyder, but the BMW doesn't cost nearly as much, either. See? Improved efficiency doesn't have to mean boring.
