2001 Audi A6 Quattro A6 2.8 Gray/tan on 2040-cars
Huntington, West Virginia, United States
You are bidding on a 2001 Audi A6 2.8 Quattro AWD. I bought this car off my ex girlfriend 2 weeks ago, she bought it off the dealer 6 months ago. She recently drove the car to FL from WV and has never had the car give her issues. The car runs good however it needs a couple fixes, the valve cover gasket on the left has a leak needs *noticed smoke from the side due to drip off from gasket* fixed, it will run around 20-60 for the gasket plus labor which is 2-3 hours unless you can fix it yourself, the center lcd of the gauge cluster is pixelated and it hard to read however the rest of the gauge cluster works fine, the car also needs brake pads and there is one slit in the driver seat leather and a tear on the passenger side seat the back seats are in good condition.
I wanted to list the bad before the good. The good the car starts up and runs and drives good, engine is quiet, all the buttons work, sunroof works, power seats works, tires are good spent *600* on tires, rims look good, body is in very good shape it don't see any dings or dents, headlights, tailights, turn signals and tail lights work. The stereo and cd player work and sound great, the car has plenty of power. The title is clear. I have described the car to the best of my ability with the knowledge i know of it, if you buy the car i want the money in cash in person.. This car is sold as is. I have the titled in hand ready to sign over. If you have any questions please contact me. This will make a great car with a couple easy fixes. |

Mattias Ekstr?m unleashes bonkers 600-hp Audi S1 Supercar on World RX
Sat, 26 Apr 2014Mattias Ekström doesn't need to prove anything. He's won the DTM title twice and before that the Swedish Touring Car Championship. But being a racing driver as he is, Ekström has been looking for new challenges. He's contested the Swedish Rally six times, the German Rally twice, he's driven in V8 Supercars and in NASCAR. He's even won the Race of Champions. Twice. Heck, we're surprised his long-time sponsor Red Bull hasn't let him try out one of its F1 cars. But this season it's on to a new challenge: the inaugural FIA World Rallycross Championship.
Ekström drove a Volkswagen Polo fielded by Marklund Motorsport in the Swedish rallycross round last season and came in second, but this year he's diving in head-first with his own team and his own car. His outfit EKS is hard at work preparing the new Audi S1 for competition in the World RX Championship, and will field two of them this season: one for Ekström and another for JWRC champion Pontus Tidemand.
Built to compete in the top category of the championship, the EKS Audi S1 Supercar will pack a 2.0-liter turbo four with 600 horsepower, all-wheel drive and a 0-60 time of 1.9 seconds. It's expected to make its debut late in May at the World RX of Great Britain where it will have to tangle with specially prepared versions of the Citroën DS3, Ford Fiesta ST and Peugeot 208 driven by the likes of Tanner Foust, Ken Block, Jacques Villeneuve and Petter Solberg. The sole North American round will be held in Trois-Rivières, Quebec, in early August, on the same circuit that once hosted Indy Lights, ALMS, Grand-Am, Can-Am and Trans-Am races.
New Transporter 4 Refueled prequel trailer comes with new lead, new Audi S8
Mon, Mar 23 2015Frank Martin returns in a new installment of the franchise that helped make Jason Statham that guy, this one called Transporter 4: Refueled. But ugh, what's happened to all the decent car movies? The problem here isn't that Statham left this series to play the baddie in Fast & Furious 7, but that the trailer makes it appear the director just combined the unused footage from a rap video and a Michael Bay movie, only forgot to include any rappers or input from Michael Bay. The trailer gives no clue as to what the movie's about, but it's not like we don't know – actor Ed Skrein has to take something somewhere while people try to kill him. Skrein does his best (we assume) to fill Statham's large shoes, helped and hindered by the entire line-up of Sports Illustrated's swimsuit issue, a second reserve alternate Bond villain, gigatons of CGI, and more fireballs than the Milky Way. Oh, and this is a prequel to the series, so just like you did with Darth Maul's double-sided light saber, ignore the extreme newness of Skrein's current generation Audi S8. Related Video:
Audi's next-gen "matrix beam lighting system" under threat from Washington
Thu, 07 Feb 2013Automotive News reports Audi may have a hard road ahead of it when it comes to convincing federal regulators to allow the company's new matrix beam lighting. The system uses small cameras to detect other vehicles on the road and darkens specific elements of the high-beam pattern to provide maximum nighttime visibility without blinding other drivers. Audi has been displaying this technology on its concept cars for a couple of years now (including the Crosslane Coupe Concept shown above at its 2012 Paris Motor Show reveal). Audi hopes the technology will effectively do away with the industry's current high and low beam settings, but the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration doesn't allow such a system under its current laws. Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108 specifically says headlamps are not to shine in this dynamic of a way.
Audi has asked has asked NHTSA for more clarification to determine what, if any elements of the matrix beam lighting technology can legally be used on US-specification vehicles. But American buyers may have to settle for systems that automatically dim their high beams until the rules get a bit more clarification.
