I can't speak for everyone, but who does not like funky, old, iconic German cars? I do... old 325's, E320's, Bavarias, A4's, etc. but the Audi A6 is a classic, too. looks as good today as 15 years ago. and, don't forget Audi's pioneering the Quattro AWD system which is flawless. when you get into this old car, you are immediately reminded you are behind the wheel of a premium German car. clean, comfy, full power and great ergonomics.
the V6 starts and runs great, pulls well through all the gears and flies down the road with total confidence. smooth, smart and in decent style. around town or on the road, this cars drives very well. good motor, tranny, AWD, windows, locks, cruise, tilt, moon roof, horn, wipers, lights, abs, alloys, gauges, heat and a/c, power seat, leather, more. clean AutoCheck (see below) and more.
but, and this is A big but, she is not perfect. previous owner had a fender bender that appears to be unreported. the airbags deployed and the was light damage to the bumper and right front fender. items have been replaced that were affected, but the two pieces have not been painted body color. there is no damage, say, to the headlights, condenser, grill, under carriage (please see all photos), but there was obviously some event. as a result, the air bag light is on. again, car runs and drives great.
tires are not new and do show normal but even wear. interior is fine, but seating surface shows some fade from use and age. one key with one remote, separate. underneath is fine, please see all photos. the A6 is at my home and could just as easy be at yours. bid and buy, low eBay price. drive it home. car, key(s), title, bill of sale... turn the key, gas and go ~!~ please feel free to stop by and say hi, take it for a ride or inspect it yourself. easy, easy shipping, too. one call, I do it all. email anytime. j. bettes 800 Clinton ave Bridgeport CT 06604 203.258.3356

Audi celebrates 500k TT models with new TTS Competition
Wed, 14 Aug 2013The stylish Audi TT first debuted in 1998, and while we've only seen two generations of the car over the course of 15 years, some 500,000 examples have been sold. To mark the occasion, Audi has created this special TTS Competition model, available as either a coupe or a roadster and limited to just 500 units.
Competition models are set apart from the rest of the TTS range by their unique paint colors - Imola Yellow and Nimbus Gray. Additionally, the limited-run TTS wears new five-spoke, 19-inch alloy wheels and features a fixed rear wing (like the one on the TT RS).
Leather upholstery is found inside the cabin, done up in steel gray with yellow accents. Of course, there are special numbered plaques on the door trims, simply saying "1 of 500."

Car technology I'm thankful and unthankful for
Mon, Nov 27 2017The past few years have seen a surge of tech features in new vehicles — everything from cloud-based content to semi-autonomous driving. While some of it makes the driving experience better, not all tech is useful or well thought out. Automakers who are adept at drivetrains, ride quality and in-cabin comforts often fail at infotainment interfaces and connectivity. From testing dozens of vehicles each year and in the spirit of gratitude, here are three car tech features I'm thankful — and a trio I could live without. Thanks Connected search: This seems like a no-brainer since everyone already has it on their smartphones, but not all automakers include it in the dashboard and as part of their nav systems. The best ones, such as Toyota Entune, leverage a driver's connected device to search for a range of services and don't charge a subscription or require a separate data plan for the car. I also like how systems like Chrysler Uconnect use Yelp or other apps to find everything from coffee to gas stations and allow searching via voice recognition. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto: It took two of the largest tech companies to get in-dash infotainment right. While they have their disadvantages (you're forced to use Apple Maps with CarPlay, for example), the two smartphone-integration platforms make it easier and safer to use their respective native apps for phoning, messaging, music and more behind the wheel by transferring a familiar UI to the dashboard — with no subscription required. Heated seats and steering wheels: I really appreciate these simple but pleasant features come wintertime. It's easy to get spoiled by bun-warmers on frosty mornings and using a heated steering wheel to warm the cold hands. I recently tested a 2018 Mercedes-Benz E400 Coupe that also had heated armrest that added to a cozy luxury experience. Bonus points for brands like Buick that allow setting seat heaters to turn on when the engine is remotely started. No thanks Automaker infotainment systems: Automakers have probably poured millions into creating their own infotainment systems, with the result largely being frustration on the part of most car owners. And Apple CarPlay and Android Auto coming along to make them obsolete. While some automaker systems, such as Toyota Entune and FCA's Uconnect, are easy and intuitive to use, it seems that high-end systems (I'm looking at you BMW iDrive and Mercedes-Benz COMAND) are the most difficult.
