OVERVIEW: You are bidding on an 2009 AUDI A5 QUATTRO PREMIUM S-LINE COUPE 2-DOOR 3.2L with ONE OWNER!!!!!! I'm selling this incredibly beautiful A5 for a friend who bought it new in 2009. It is in absolutely amazing shape, and has been exclusively serviced at the Audi dealership it's entire life. He just bought a house further outside the city and has to let it go as there's a rough gravel road that this dream machine isn't made to handle. It just had a full service and detail at the Audi dealership in Portland including the scheduled oil change and brake flush.
SHIPPING & PICKUP: Vehicle must be picked up or shipped within ten days of the end of the auction. I wouldn't hesitate to drive it across the country which would make for a fantastic spring road trip! If shipping is required it must be arranged by the buyer at a pickup location of my choice (a.k.a. moderately close to the sellers residence in Portland and not 90 miles away).
PAYMENT: Please email me with questions BEFORE you start bidding. The winning bidder must pay a $500 deposit within 24 hours of the close of the auction and pay the balance when you pickup the vehicle with cash or a cashiers check - SORRY NO TRADES. Nine-time Le Mans winner Tom Kristensen to retire
Wed, 19 Nov 2014Le Mans icon Tom Kristensen is retiring. The Danish driver, who was an integral part of Audi's absolute dominance at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, captured a record-breaking nine wins at the legendary endurance race, along with six overall victories at the 12 Hours of Sebring in a career that spanned 26 years.
"Over the past couple of months, my thoughts of retiring have been stronger, and therefore, it feels right to inform you today that I am retiring from motor racing," Kristensen told Autosport. "I still feel I am in peak physical form and possess the necessary mental toughness both in and outside of the car: it has been important for me to stop while I am still strong and able to deliver top performances at Audi."
While the World Endurance Championship's season-ending race at Interlagos on November 30 will be Kristensen's last as a driver, it won't be the end of his long-running association with Audi. According to Autosport, TK will take on a new role as an ambassador for the German marque and will work with team's drivers in an unspecified role.
Audi builds 3-millionth A3
Sun, 21 Jul 2013About a month after Volkswagen celebrated building its 30-millionth example of the Golf, Audi has announced that it has produced three million versions of its small hatchback, the closely related Audi A3. Probably more surprising than the fact that the A3 has moved in such big numbers since its global debut in 1996 is the fact that it has done so with relatively little support in the US, seeing marginal sales in the States since 2005.
The three-millionth A3 was a Sportback TDI model, but the lineup has grown this year to include a new sedan and S3 model, and the hybrid A3 E-tron is on the way. With these new models - especially the sedan in the US - we expect the A3 to continue to be a popular entrant in the premium small segment. Scroll down for Audi's official press release.
