2001 Audi A4 2.8, Pes Supercharger, 5 Speed S4 Salvage Rebuildable on 2040-cars

Up for sale is a 2001 Audi A4 2.8 with 55k original miles on it that has some very expensive modifications done to it. It was purchased from a salvage auction, sight unseen, as a theft recovery. I expected it to only need light bodywork, and a new ignition. Unfortunately, it had a blown clutch/transmission when it arrived. Car has a PA salvage title The trans was pulled, and when pulled it was discovered that one of the mounting bolts on the block was broken. At that point, the shop that was doing the work and I had a falling out over another vehicle. I had both cars picked up, and that's where this car sits now. It needs the clutch (comes with a brand new clutch kit), flywheel (you need to get that), and the transmission put back in. It will also need downpipes/catalytic converters. The rest of the parts are all in the trunk. Now the car has some very expensive modifications done to it. It has a PES supercharger kit installed on it that is practically brand new. That kit alone by itself is $4,000. It bumps the horsepower up to ~300hp. It also has a Bilstein cup kit suspension on it. Has brand new cross drilled and rotors all around (need to be cut not because they have rust from the car sitting), AWE drivetrain stabilizer, and a K&N air filter. The interior is probably the nicest I've seen in any B5 series Audi in a long time. It is VERY nice. Nearly perfect. The exterior is also very clean. It does have a hole in the driver door by the handle (how thieves steal these cars) and a damaged passenger fender (needs to be replaced, will post a pic later), but for a car that is a 2001, its really nice. The paint shines very well too. THE CAR HAS SNOW TIRES/STEEL WHEELS ON IT NOW, THE ONES IN THE PICS ARE NOT AVAILABLE! Audi A3-based people mover in the works
Sat, 01 Jun 2013We have yet another announcement of yet another new Audi, including yet another obligatory quote from Audi research and development chief Wolfgang Dürheimer that there's room for it in the Audi range. On the sidelines of reports about the diesel-hybrid sports car, derived from the R18 endurance racer, there have been remarks about a possible MPV. Now Auto Express reports that said MPV "is on the way" and will be based on the A3 Sportback.
Previous speculation has posited either a six- or seven-seat people carrier; if the AE report is to be believed then five seats is the number that's been settled on. Planned to rest on a stretched version of the A3 platform, its wheelbase would be nearly eight inches longer than that of the A3 Sportback and it would compete against the Mercedes-Benz B-Class and the production version of the BMW Concept Active Tourer.
Audi is not going to dally about it, either, with a concept said to be ready for debut next year. Should it come, it would mean the A3 range comes pretty close to hitting for the cycle.
European RS6 Avant ad features diesel-hybrid R18 racecar
Sat, 10 Aug 2013We'd be just as happy to casually walk back to an RS6 Avant as anybody, but Audi's commercial for its fastest ass-hauling wagon takes casual to another level. The RS6 isn't even seen until more than two-thirds of the way through the 46-second German commercial, but Audi seduces us long before that with the R18 E-tron Quattro diesel-hybrid endurance racer juxtaposed into scenes of everyday life. Since when can you be picked up at the airport or drive peacefully to a riverbed in a racecar?
The German automaker cashed in on childhood dreams its nearly flawless endurance-racing pedigree big time for the advertisement - and it works, even though we realize the RS6 drinks gasoline and isn't a hybrid. It does have Quattro four-wheel drive, however. But the commercial makes us want the beautifully pragmatic long-roof with 550 horsepower all the more, especially since Audi currently has no plans to bring it to the US. Please say it ain't so!
Even if the US doesn't get an RS6 Avant, we're happy to indulge in commercials like this. Be sure to watch it below.
Audi TT spy shots reveal revised lighting elements
Wed, 29 Jan 2014As we inch closer to an expected Geneva debut for the next-generation Audi TT, our latest round of spy photos are starting to give us an even better look at Audi's latest sports car. This time out, we're getting more details on the car's head and taillights.
It's safe to say that the new headlight design will not incorporate the twin rally lights we see mounted on the next TT's grille, but our spy photos do show off the wide, angular new lights in even greater detail than previous photos. The rear lights, meanwhile, look like they'll retain a similar shape to what's seen on the current car, while new LED details lend a degree of freshness to the look.
As we mentioned, we're predicting Audi will debut the next TT at the 2014 Geneva Auto Show in March. We expect, though, to have more on the car before that time. Stay tuned.
