2008 Aston Martin Vantage V8 convertible low, low reserve

Perfect condition 2008 Aston Martin Vantage V8 convertible. It has the 4.3 liter, 380 horse V8 mated to the automated manual Sportshift transmission. It also has navigation, factory iphone/cellphone integration, and all power options including doors, trunk, windows, mirrors, and seats. This car is an absolute blast to drive whether the top is up or down and Aston definitely hit the nail on the head with the smooth V8 and exhaust note on these cars. Aston Martin is one of the few cars out there today that are still hand-built and the extremely high level of craftsmanship definitely shows in this car. The quality of the leather, stitch-work and overall fit and finish that Aston Martins exhibit is truly remarkable. An Aston Martin Vantage is not simply another luxury sports car like a Mercedes SL, Corvette, Nissan GTR, etc... It is a rolling work of art and a fine example of high performance engineering and quality British craftsmanship. I assisted a good friend of mine in finding and purchasing this car in the fall of 2010. He is the second owner of this car and has had it most of its life at almost 4 years. I am a total car nut and have owned everything from old Military trucks to Ferrari's and Porsche's so he has enlisted my help to list it for him. Also, he lives in Tucson and there isn't an Aston Martin dealership there so he would leave the car with me in Scottsdale whenever he needed regular service. It is truly an amazing car in absolutely pristine condition but rarely gets driven with only 16k miles so he has decided to sell. It has never been driven in rain or bad conditions of any kind and since we live here in Arizona and it was originally from Southern California, it has never come close to seeing snow. The color scheme and wheels is what originally drew us to this car and I think it really sets this Aston apart from the other Vantages on the road. The exterior color is Tungsten Silver Metallic with a black soft-top in perfect condition and a unique two-tone black and saddle brown leather interior that all really do this car justice. The wheels are custom TSW 19" with Bridgestone Potenza 235/40's up front and 274/35's in the rear. Everything works perfectly and as it should on this car and we have had all service work performed at the Aston Martin dealership in North Scottsdale, although these are not pretentious cars at all to maintain and do not require any outlandish servicing like many other ultra-luxury brands. I also have the original Navigation DVD, manual, and 2 sets of keys/remotes. Unfortunately, prices have slumped off on these cars in recent months so we don't expect to get anywhere near Kelly Blue Book's current retail price of $117,102 but it's at least good to know that even Kelly Blue Book recognizes the value of these cars and of course, that number definitely couldn't hurt if you ever wanted to finance this car. This Aston has been meticulously cared for its entire life and has always been store in a climate controlled garage. Ready to sell fast with an extremely low reserve so bid with confidence. The AM37 is literally the Aston Martin of boats

Wed, Sep 28 2016

While sports car companies such as Porsche and Lamborghini are looking to SUVs to expand their offerings, Aston Martin has taken a page from Mercedes and designed a boat. Specifically, it's a 37-foot powerboat appropriately named the AM37. The boat was developed with help from Mulder Design and Quintessence Yachts, and is available in two different versions, both of which should the aquatic equivalent of Aston Martin performance. The standard AM37 is available with two different pairs of engines from Mercury, either 370-horsepower diesel engines or 450-horsepower gas engines. If that's not enough, Aston also offers the AM37S, which comes with a pair of 520-horsepower gasoline Mercury engines. Like road-going Astons, this boat is absolutely gorgeous. The lines are simple, crisp and clean. It features a beautiful wood deck, and an impressive double-curved, single-piece glass windshield. And if you get tired of the sun, the AM37 features a powered, carbon fiber bimini top. The interior completes the package with a carbon fiber dashboard, lots of leather and polished steering wheel, throttle and joystick. It's also incredibly well-equipped with seating for eight, air conditioning, mood lighting, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, a bed that folds out from the table, and even a bathroom. Aston Martin didn't release pricing or availability for the AM37. However, we suspect that if you really want this boat and have the means, pricing doesn't matter, and you're probably willing to wait. Aston Martin DB11 arrives with 600 horsepower, stunning design

Tue, Mar 1 2016

The drapes have been removed from the new DB11, billed by Andy Palmer, Aston Martin's chief executive, as "not only the most important car that Aston Martin has launched in recent history, but also in its 103-year existence." Well, they all are, Andy. Aston Martin is such a small company that it bets the farm with each new model. That's part of its appeal, for Aston's one constant is the svelte beauty of its cars, which (lest we forget) are the company wheels for one Commander James Bond. So the DB11 is important, make no mistake. It goes on sale this autumn and will cost $211,995 in the US. It's the tenth car (there was no DB8) in a lineage that began in 1948 with the DB1 – the first car to bear the initials of then owner, David Brown. Just 15 DB1s were made, but the DB line has been the most successful model for Aston Martin over the years, including such cars as the DB5 and DB7 as well as the 2003 DB9, which was the last all-new Aston Martin. This totally new DB11 is a clean-sheet approach from design director Marek Reichman, with a new aluminum bodyshell, suspension, cabin, and a Mercedes-Benz-based electronic architecture, which runs the systems. View 24 Photos To save fuel the engine will close down one bank and run as a 2.6-liter straight-six when the extra power is not required. The heart is a brand-new, 5.2-liter V12 boosted with two Mitsubishi Heavy Industries twin-scroll turbochargers with water-to-air inlet-charge coolers. It punches out 600 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 516 pound-feet of torque from 1,500 rpm. Maximum speed is said to be 200 miles per hour with 0-62 acceleration in 3.9 seconds. The new engine drives the rear wheels via a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission and a mechanical limited-slip differential. Aston moved from the previous 6.0-liter naturally aspirated unit to a 5.2-liter biturbo to improve the part-load efficiency and EPA fuel economy figures. "In downsizing we want the emissions and we want the economy, but more than those, we want the torque," says Ian Minards, director of product development. To save fuel the engine will close down one bank and run as a 2.6-liter straight-six when the extra power is not required, but to prevent the exhaust catalyst from overcooling, the electronics switch between two banks. "It's undetectable," says Minards. Minards' team spent three years creating this car. "It's been a little bit daunting," he says.

Kahn Vengeance has Aston Martin's blessing [UPDATE]

Thu, May 14 2015

Last week we brought you the first renderings of a coachbuilt Aston Martin DB9 called the Vengeance that's being developed by Kahn Design. The emergence of the project raised a valid question: if Aston Martin quashed a similar venture by Henrik Fisker, wouldn't the Kahn Vengeance suffer a similar fate? Not according to Kahn. In a statement released to the press, company spokesman Mo Bhana said that "unlike the David Brown Speedback GT and recent Fisker Thunderbolt that ended in a lawsuit, there are no copyright issues with the Vengeance since Aston Martin has confirmed they have entered into a supply deal with us." The incidents Bhana refers to are over two coachbuilder projects that have come up recently and which have drawn the ire of Gaydon. The first is the Speedback GT developed by David Brown Automotive and assembled by a British coachbuilder called Envisage. The latter company also supplies parts and tooling to Aston Martin, which sued Envisage over concerns that its designs were being misappropriated. Given the resemblance of the Speedback to certain classic Astons, and the use of the name David Brown (which happens to be shared by the Speedback's patron and a key figure from Aston's history), reports began circulating that Aston was suing Envisage over the Speedback project, however David Brown Automotive refuted the allegations. The second was Project Thunderbolt, a rebodied Vanquish designed by Henrik Fisker – the same Danish designer who penned the DB9 and V8 Vantage while serving as Aston's design director before striking out on his own. Despite the former association, Aston objected to Fisker's project, launched a lawsuit against him and only agreed to drop it after Fisker agreed not to produce the Thunderbolt. Given Aston's track record, fearing that it would go down the same path would seem reasonable, but Kahn apparently doesn't expect any such difficulties with its supplier. And the company does, after all, also have a history of collaborating with coachbuilders - most notably Zagato. We've reached out to Aston Martin itself for confirmation and will update you as soon as we hear back. In the meantime, you can ponder the second set of renderings released and which we've included above.
