Up for auction is this stunning 2006 Aston martin DB9 Volante which auto check shows to have had no accidents. Although i purchased it off the insurance company, the story with this car is original owner spun out in a rain storm and popped his tire and bent his rim with a few other minor cosmetic damages. The insurance company totaled this vehicle and paid out over $90,000. I have a Rhode island rebuilt title in my name which can be registered at any DMV. I have gone through this vehicle and had it serviced at the Aston martin dealer. Everything works on the car thought it may have a few minor scratches. Aston Martin reportedly picks out a name for DBX SUV: Varekai
Sat, Mar 17 2018It seems a distinct possibility that the name of Aston Martin's upcoming SUV will not remain "DBX," as it has been known. The British Autocar reports that the manufacturer has earmarked the name Varekai for it, which would certainly tie in nicely with the company's earlier V-named products. The word Varekai comes from the Romani language, meaning "Wherever," and for a go-anywhere SUV it would be more than suitable to have a nomad name. However, while Aston has applied to trademark the name, it would not comment on the name's authenticity when asked by Autocar. The SUV, no matter what it will be called, will be manufactured in a new facility in St Athan, Wales. The factory is based on an old air force base, and it will bring up to 750 new jobs to the area when it is brought online. Last month, Aston Martin said the first phase of the facility's construction is now complete, and the SUV will start production in 2019. The powerplants for it will be V8 and V12 engines, as well as a hybrid and an all-electric drivetrain in development. 2012 Pebble Beach Concept Car Lawn offers a tutorial in cars to come
Sun, 19 Aug 2012The Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance is a showcase for some of the world's most exquisite vintage vehicles, but if newer metal is more your speed, the Concept Car Lawn is the place to be.
This year saw models from Bugatti, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, McLaren and Bentley as well as SRT, Hennessey, Infiniti and Lexus among others. The ultimate sampler platter of exotic and concept vehicles saw the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse mingle with the Lamborghini Urus Concept and the mighty Hennessey Venom GT, though we found ourselves particularly smitten with the BMW Zagato Roadster and the Aston Martin Vanquish.
Not that we could go wrong anywhere we looked. The 2013 Bentley Continental GT Speed seemed perfectly content parked on the manicured putting green, as did the McLaren MP4-12C Spider. Get cozy with the full gallery below to see the smattering of metal on the lawn.
Spectre star Daniel Craig suffers minor injury riding in Aston Martin DB10
Fri, Feb 27 2015The Aston Martin DB10 might look amazing. It does not, however, have an abundance of headroom, as James Bond actor Daniel Craig found out. The star of the 24th 007 film, Spectre, Craig was injured while filming a scene inside the DB10. The car was shooting a chase scene in Rome with the film's other four-wheeled star, the Jaguar C-X75, when the stuntman behind the wheel (which happened to be a cage on the coupe's roof) hit one of the ancient city's notorious potholes. Craig bopped his head hard enough to warrant a trip to the on-set medic, The Los Angeles Times reports. According to The Times, the DB10 was being chased by the one-off Jag of film baddie Dave Bautista on Rome's Corso Vittorio Emanuele II. Craig's injuries were deemed minor enough that he made a scheduled trip to London to continue filming. Next time 007, stick to the Fiat. Related Video:
