2005 Aston Martin Db9 Pristine Condition And Low Mileage on 2040-cars
Manhattan Beach, California, United States
Pristine Condition 2005 Aston Martin DB9 Fully Optioned, best example I've ever seen Highly desirable Metallic Black on Black Leather Only 10,800 miles (attached photo was from a few months ago) Clean Carfax, No accidents Only 2 Owners before me (note that autocheck counts the car dealer as an owner -- I purchased it last year from Texas Import Sales, a dealer of high end exotic vehicles) Previous owners were from Texas, a dry state. No signs of any rust / snow wear. They put 9000 miles on it, and I added another 1800. Did an inspection at Beverly Hills Aston Martin last year and came back with a clean bill of health. Foreman said it was one of the cleanest DB9s he's seen. Also updated the ECU software at that time. Upgraded Factory Options include: In Dash Navigation Linn 950w Sound System Auto-Folding Side Mirrors 6 speed paddle shifting automatic gearbox Walnut Veneers Parking Sensors Seat heaters Aston Martin Air Caps Other Updates: Car also has a clear bra installed, and I replaced the front piece last year with a new one, so everything looks perfect. I recently had an alignment done, so the car is in great shape. Previous owner installed a hidden skid plate to protect the bottom of the front bumper. Tires are nearly brand new. All are in excellent shape, and were replaced before I bought the car. Holds and runs like new. Tow hook and tire repair kit included. No leaks and has never burned oil. Selling to fund a classic car purchase. This car should be a daily driver and simply doesn't get driven. I turn the motor regularly, but rarely drive it. I'm hoping the next owner will be able to get some good use out of it. This V12 engine is known to be very reliable. Small ding on the driver's door. No trades, please. No visits nor test drives unless you place a refundable deposit or purchase a pre-purchase inspection from a local Aston Martin dealership. Traveling pre-purchase inspections from ebay approved companies are fine, but no test drives. No lowball offers. I'm in no rush to sell, and low offers will automatically be rejected. Have financing ready before you bid. No warranty included nor implied. You might be able to obtain one through Aston Martin, because it's less than 10yrs old. Car is located in Los Angeles, CA. |

Aston and Jag from James Bond Spectre have at it
Sun, May 3 2015Daniel Craig hasn't made a bad James Bond film yet. Spectre is his next step into the iconic role that's due to hit theaters on November 6, and it doesn't look likely to ruin his streak. Still, that's a long wait for such an exciting movie. If you're willing to possibly spoil just a little for yourself, a new featurette shows part of one of the big car chases right now. From what we've seen so far, the chase through Rome in Spectre has earned a good amount of screen time. While the reason for it in the plot is a mystery, that doesn't really matter anyway. What's important is that the scene stars Bond in the Aston Martin DB10 and a villain played by Dave Bautista in the now supercharged V8-powered version of the Jaguar C-X75 racing around the Italian capital's tight streets at night. This clip gives a glimpse at some of the work necessary to get the difficult filming completed. We've seen some of that effort before, though, when footage of the preparation for one shot leaked out. Craig reportedly sustained a pretty bad bump on the head during the shooting, and an earlier rumor also suggested that Bond might get behind the wheel of a Fiat 500 at some point in the scene.
Aston Martin closing deal with Force India F1 team
Mon, Nov 2 2015Aston Martin is returning to the Formula One grid. Only instead of starting its own team – or even taking control of an existing one – the British automaker is reportedly on the verge of announcing a new partnership with the Force India team. According to Autosport, the deal would see the team switch names from its current national identity to Aston Martin Racing. Beyond naming rights, however, the partnership could see the two outfits partner on technical collaborations as well. The Johnnie Walker whisky brand – a longtime McLaren partner – is said to be joining as a sponsor of the newly rebranded team, which has previously featured branding from whisky brands Royal Challenge, Whyte & Mackay, and Dalmore. The current engine deal with Mercedes (which owns part of Aston Martin) is expected to stay in place. Force India isn't the only team Aston Martin is said to have evaluated. Previous reports had linked the manufacturer of luxury GT cars to Red Bull, while Williams was also said to have been under consideration for such a partnership. Ultimately, however, it appears to be cash-strapped (and strong-performing) Force India that has sealed the deal, expected to be announced in due course. If the notion of an automaker sponsoring (but not running) an F1 team strikes you as odd, it isn't without relevant precedent. Infiniti has long sponsored the Red Bull team that is powered by its corporate cousin Renault. That deal was brokered while the Japanese luxury brand was chaired by Andy Palmer, who now runs Aston Martin. Aside from considerable achievements in sports car racing, the British firm only participated in F1 for a few races in 1959 and 1960. The deal would put an end to the Force India name that has adorned the team since Indian businessman Vijay Mallya took it over late in 2007. Mallya, it should be noted, helms United Spirits Limited, which produces all those beverages mentioned previously that have sponsored Force India. The team was founded in 1991 as Jordan Grand Prix, under whose name it ran until 2005 when it switched ownership and name first to Midland and then to Spyker. Mallya sold nearly half of the team's stake to the Sahara India Pariwar conglomerate in 2011. Since taking over the team, Force India has gone from a back-marker in tenth place to a solid midfield contender routinely landing sixth in the championship standings and currently running fifth this season.
2017 Aston Marin Lagonda could live on Mercedes M-Class platform
Tue, 29 Oct 2013A few weeks ago, we brought you news from the launch of the Aston Martin Vanquish Volante that the British brand, which is formally known as Aston Martin Lagonda, was still planning on going ahead with a Lagonda-badged crossover. Now comes word that that vehicle could very well be based on a Mercedes-Benz M-Class.
When the first Lagonda Concept debuted at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show, it sat on a Mercedes-Benz GL-Class platform, some four years before Aston Martin and Mercedes-AMG deal was inked. And with that partnership, which will see Aston Martin gain access to AMG electrics and "bespoke, V8 powertrains," the opportunities for platform sharing are many.
Dr. Ulrich Bez, the boss of Aston Martin, told the UK's AutoCar, "I look at what Porsche is doing with the 911 as its core business and then it is able to do models like the Cayenne based on the Volkswagen Touareg. It is good business." We've said many times that we'll tolerate exotic CUVs and SUVs if it means keeping the beloved core models alive, which has been the case with Porsche. We see no reason Aston Martin wouldn't be able to do the same.
