This is a rare factory color, low miles, rust free Alfa in excellent condition.  It has been driven daily in the summer for the last 6 years.

History:
I am the third owner.  It was purchased and spent most of its life in Georgia.

Condition:
All aspects of the car (except exhaust and wood gear shift knob) are original and in excellent, working condition.  All gauges, devices, accessories, electrical systems and lights are intact and in proper working order with no exceptions down to the vanity mirror and map lights.  The air bag warning light has been deactivated due to a typical manufacturing defect.  All trim, upholstery and finishes are intact and in excellent condition.  The original carpet is slightly worn to the left and rear of the pedals.  The paint is original with front bumper respray and minor dent removal.  Leather seats and cockpit vinyl trim are supple and uncracked.  All rubber is siliconed yearly and is soft and pliable.  The engine runs and idles smoothly and starts immediately.  The top is perfect with clear rear window.  The car drops a small amount of oil within the normal range for Alfas (never needing to be topped up outside of regular 3k mile oil changes).  There is a high performance stainless exhaust with chrome tip and a slightly louder exhaust note than stock.

Care and Maintenance:
The car has always been garaged daily and taken off the road and garaged during winter.  It has been carefully maintained by Alfa-exclusive mechanics in the Boston area including Accel Automotive and Glynn Motors.  Major recent repairs have included new rear springs, transmission rebuild (by Paul Glynn), speedo and tach refurbishment, suspension bushings, new tires, new Stay-Fast convertible top and rear window, new motor mounts.  All records are available.  The car was meticulously surveyed with a 2 page report from Glynn Motors.

Operation:
Handling is accurate and the steering has no play.  The ride is tight and rubbery with no sloppiness, squeaks or rattles. All transmission gears shift smoothly without scratchiness.  I am told by the Alfa mechanics that, overall, the car is tighter than most other similar examples they are aware of.

Additional Parts:
Factory Tonneau, Original Manual, Factory Jack and Toolkit, Custom fitted Car Cover, Steering Wheel Security Club

Inspection:
The car will be available to a serious buyer for mechanic's inspection on site

Delivery:
Buyer to arrange pick up and transportation

Alfa Romeo Giulia interior revealed on YouTube

Fri, Jul 17 2015

When our David Gluckman reported from the Alfa Romeo Giulia reveal in Milan last month he didn't get to sit in or photograph the interior, but he wrote of it, "I liked what I saw of the interior. The center console is angled to hem the driver in a little, which works well with the canted, sweeping dash. It kind of reminds me of the look in newer Mazdas – clean and simple with a good balance of organic curves and straight edges." Now we can see what he meant because a YouTube video from user Alfa Romeo World shows off the new sedan's cabin. We're going to guess that this is a top-trim setup because there is a lot of stitched leather and carbon fiber in there. It's a good looking place for driving, and that steering wheel makes our hands want to clutch it. The infotainment area is one flush tinted screen extending from the gauge cluster and holding the line of the instrument panel, and the image appears to show up on the entire screen, not on another smaller screen mounted behind it. It's simplicity in a good way, bereft of any gimmicks that we can see, and with a six-speed manual transmission. For all the sportiness of the hard points, the seats look rather flat, especially in the back. We'll hold off on judgment until we sit in them. Have a look at it in the gallery above, there are more shots at this Facebook fan site, and we'll be lining up to take a seat in it at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

Autoblog's Editors' Picks: Our complete list of the best new vehicles

Mon, May 13 2024

It's not easy to earn an “EditorsÂ’ Picks” at Autoblog as part of the rating and review process that every new vehicle goes through. Our editors have been at it a long time, which means weÂ’ve driven and reviewed virtually every new car you can go buy on the dealer lot. There are disagreements, of course, and all vehicles have their strengths and weaknesses, but this list features what we think are the best new vehicles chosen by Autoblog editors. We started this formal review process back in 2018, so there's quite of few of them now. So what does it mean to be an EditorsÂ’ Pick? In short, it means itÂ’s a car that we can highly recommend purchasing. There may be one, multiple, or even zero vehicles in any given segment that we give the green light to. What really matters is that itÂ’s a vehicle that weÂ’d tell a friend or family member to go buy if theyÂ’re considering it, because itÂ’s a very good car. The best way to use this list is is with the navigation links below. Click on a segment, and you'll quickly arrive at the top rated pickup truck or SUV, for example. Use the back button to return to these links and search in another segment, like sedans. If youÂ’ve been keeping up with our monthly series of the latest vehicles to earn EditorsÂ’ Pick status, youÂ’re likely going to be familiar with this list already. If not, welcome to the complete list that weÂ’ll be keeping updated as vehicles enter (and others perhaps exit) the good graces of our editorial team. We rate a new car — giving it a numerical score out of 10 — every time thereÂ’s a significant refresh or if it happens to be an all-new model. Any given vehicle may be impressive on a first drive, but we wait until itÂ’s in the hands of our editors to put it through the same type of testing as every other vehicle that rolls through our test fleet before giving it the EditorsÂ’ Pick badge. This ensures consistency and allows more voices to be heard on each individual model. And just so you donÂ’t think weÂ’ve skipped trims or variants of a model, we hand out the EditorsÂ’ Pick based on the overarching model to keep things consistent. So, when you read that the 3 Series is an EditorsÂ’ Pick, yes, that includes the 330i to the M3 and all the variants in between. If thereÂ’s a particular version of that car we vehemently disagree with, we make sure to call that out.

Next-gen Mazda MX-5 Miata mule spied 'Ring testing

Wed, 23 Oct 2013

Fans of simple, lightweight motoring, rejoice - we now have images of the next-generation Mazda MX-5 Miata undergoing testing at der Nürburgring Nordschleife. Now, to be fair, this isn't some lightly camouflaged example that will give us a great peak of what the next Miata, which will also become the next Alfa Romeo Spider, will look like. This is a mule, with the new bits hidden under a current Miata's body. That doesn't mean there aren't a few scraps of valuable information here, though.
According to our flock of camera-toting spies at the Nürburgring, the next Miata is likely to grow a bit, as new models are wont to do. In particular, it will be longer and wider, and the wheelbase is likely going to be stretched, based on the shape of the wheel wells and doors. Both of those factors will add more space in the cabin.
Those are the big indications provided by these photos, but while the MX-5 might be growing, it's a safe bet based on these images that it, and the (likely pricier) Alfa, will retain the classic, long-hood, short-deck styling that so typifies rear-drive roadsters.
