'89 Alfa Spider Quadrifoglio. Has the original Silver exterior with the top of the line Quadrifoglio interior...gray with red piping, red carpeting in the cabin and trunk. This car is mechanically sound, engine and gearbox are smooth. Powerfull twin overhead cam four cylinder fuel injected engine that loves to rev. Super Hartop and Softop with rear window cover to keep the window from getting damaged in the down position. Tool kit, manuals and very good records. Vehicle has been professionally maintained and suspension, Air conditioning and braking are all superb. This vehicle appears to have had a professional repaint and there is a small indendation (door ding that didn't penitrate the paint) on the pssgr. side rear midship area. The car runs superbly and handles fantastic. There is a smallcrack in the otherwise perfect dash near the defrost outlet. This car is reliable and dependable and sound mechanically, and electrically. Car starts easily and gets 25 city, 30+ Hwy miles per gallon. All maintenance has been timely and it shows. The car needs nothing but an enthusiastic driver/owner that appreciates Italian engineering and handling and of course the beautiful and timeless Pinifnfarina styiling that is sure to increase in value due to designers recent passing in 2012. These Alfa Spiders are works of art and British or German vehicles of this era can't hold a candle to these when it comes to engines, transmissions styling and handling. The car is just a joy to drive and has the added benefit of the hard and soft tops for summer and winter use. Car has been garaged kept, has no rust and excellent tread on very recently replaced tires. This is a car that I am going to regret selling as these (especially these top end Quadrifoglio's with the top of the line equipment and ground effects) will do nothing but appreciate in value from this day forward. Bid with confidence as I do not sell vehicles that have problems. Believe me, this car is top notch and ready to be driven daily or just on weekends....you decide. Buyer is responsible for a $500 Paypal deposit within 24 Hrs of winning bid. Balance is due via Bank to Bank Wire transfer, Cashiers check or Cash within 7 days of auction close. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer and I will make every effort to coordinate with your transport carrier to facilitate a smooth transport experience, if not a local buyer. Good luck and Happy Motoring to the high bidder....you'll get yourself an awesome vehicle!

Alfa Romeo should return to Formula One ASAP
Tue, Feb 16 2016Alfa Romeo should absolutely return to Formula One. It would benefit the company, and it would benefit the sport. By extension, it would benefit enthusiasts. Let's break it down: Self-Interest: Alfa is struggling to reboot as a viable modern automaker. Americans love the idea of an Alfa but sometimes associate it with the movie The Graduate, which is nearly 50 years old, and the vague notion of sporty convertibles. It's mythic, but murky. Still, this is a big name in automotive history. If you asked a random person on the street: Do you want to drive an Alfa Romeo? They'd almost certainly say yes. F1 is the pinnacle of motorsport. By competing in the World Championship and even better – winning – Alfa could legitimately claim it's not a museum piece, but a company on the edge of technology. And in this case, history is in Alfa's favor. Its drivers, Giuseppe Farina (shown above in 1950) and Juan Manuel Fangio, won the first two Formula One titles in 1950-51. This is a company that's won at LeMans, Mille Miglia, and Targa Florio. Sure, those are some dusty trophies, but the people who would consider buying an Alfa are connoisseurs. They appreciate the bloodlines. F1 Would Be Better: This doesn't matter to Alfa, but the sport would be more interesting with Alfa on the grid. Can you imagine an Alfa in a pitched fight with a Ferrari (say with Sebastian Vettel as the wheel) at Monza? F1 could use some new storylines and rivalries. Simply having an Alfa Romeo team on the grid would spice things up. Use engines from Ferrari. That makes the most sense, and Ferrari already sells its units to other teams. Some of them might as well go to another Italian outfit that still probably wouldn't have the same resources as the Scuderia. Enzo Ferrari started out at Alfa, by the way. It's A Win-Win For Enthusiasts: Fiat Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne has said a lot of curious things lately, but he's spot-on with the notion of Alfa returning to F1. If that happens, it would make Alfa's new models, like the Giulia and 4C, seem sportier. It would remind collectors just how special the old ones are. And it would make Formula One a more compelling sport. Yes, F1 is wildly expensive. But FCA can find money to do Hellcats and hybrid minivans. It should double-down on Alfa's return to F1. Marchionne: FCA, but not Ferrari, interested in Formula E
Sat, Aug 5 2017It seems like automakers have been clamoring to get on board with Formula E lately. In just the last few weeks a number of manufacturers have either become more directly involved, or otherwise announced entry into the series in coming years. That includes Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Porsche, with the latter two abandoning other series to join the electric one. Now, FCA CEO Sergio Marchionne says his company might join Formula E as well, according to Motorsport. Previously, Marchionne had toyed with the idea of bringing Ferrari into the Formula E field, but now says that would be unlikely. Instead, he thinks an FCA brand would be a better fit, perhaps Alfa Romeo or Maserati. At the moment, Maserati seems like the best fit, as Marchionne just announced that the brand would electrify its entire lineup after 2019, with each car it sells having either a hybrid or electric powertrain. Fans would probably be excited to see Maserati return to racing, and Formula E would be a good test laboratory for the development of electric propulsion technology. Still, another brand could represent FCA in Formula E, and apply the knowledge learned there to its vehicles, as Marchionne says half of the FCA fleet will be electrified by the end of the company's five-year plan ending in 2022. Marchionne said that while Ferrari won't be directly involved, he doesn't know which FCA brand – Alfa Romeo, Dodge, Chrysler, Fiat, or Maserati – would enter. As interesting as an electric Dodge race car would be, it seems unlikely, especially because of, well, Maserati. We're hoping it's Jeep, though. Just 45% of Fiat dealers are profitable, and they're angry about it
Mon, 07 Oct 2013<
On average, Fiat dealers have only been selling about 17 cars a month.
We've been wondering for some time how Fiat dealers in North America have been getting along with just one model range in their showrooms up until recently. Franchisees spent millions building, stocking and manning sleek new 'studio' showrooms, only to have but a single model to sell, the cherubic 500. And even with its many derivatives, the Cinquecento is still an inexpensive model with its attendant lower margins. Perhaps it should come as no surprise then, that just 45 percent of US Fiat dealers are said to be profitable.
