Engine: 4 Cyl

Removable Top, Power Brakes, Power Windows, Intermittent Wipers, Tachometer, 4 Wheel Disc Brakes, AM/FM/CD, Adjustable Headrests, Bucket Seats, Leather Seats, Center Console

This car is clean and runs great! Fresh Tags to 2015. All stock. It does have some minor issues & cosmetic flaws due to the age of the car, naturally. The odometer reads 187,000 miles but doesn't work anymore. The original owner pulled the car behind an RV most of the time so I don't believe it even has that many miles on it. It does not burn oil. It doesn't have any rust. Mechanically it runs great!

- small oil leak (about a quart per 6 weeks) --> typical for this car
- needs a brake job (have brand new pads...just need to be put on)
- E-Brake needs to be adjusted
- defrost fan doesn't work
- small dent on the passenger side (view photo)
- wipers work fine but the intermittent doesn't
- needs a new convertible top...current one leaks a little on heavy rain days.

REVISION

Some rust was discovered in the spare tire wheel well in the trunk.  It's about 20-30 inches along the base.  I can only assume that some water got in to the well and created the corrosion.  It would need to be repaired.

Touring's Disco Volante makes us green with envy [w/video]

Tue, Mar 4 2014

In its entire production run, Alfa Romeo only ever built 500 examples of the 8C Competizione – just 90 of which ended up in the United States – and another 500 Spiders. That makes it a pretty rare car indeed, but it's positively commonplace compared to the Disco Volante, the version reborn by the talented and steady hands at Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera. In correspondece with Autoblog, Touring's CEO Piero Mancardi confirmed that the coachbuilder will only build eight examples of the Disco Volante, in colors chosen by their individual customers: one in black, one in blue, one in silver, the one in green you see here and the rest in different shades of red. That makes this particular example a one-of-a-kind work of art that we were privileged to behold here at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, and you can see what we saw through the camera lens in the high-resolution image gallery above, or by checking out the video below. Alfa Romeo 8C, Maserati Quattroporte and Granturismo models recalled over rust fears

Mon, 20 May 2013

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced Maserati and Alfa Romeo are recalling certain Quattroporte, Granturismo and 8C models over potentially faulty tie rod ends. According to NHTSA, 2005-2008 Quattroporte, 2008 Granturismo and 2008 8C units may have been assembled with tie rod ends that have insufficient corrosion protection. As such, the components may rust, weaken and potentially fail. If that happens, the driver could lose control of the vehicle and cause an accident.
Maserati and Alfa Romeo will contact owners and replace the tie rod end assemblies once the recall gets underway in June. All told, 7,438 vehicles are impacted by the recall. You can read the full NHTSA notice below for more information.

Get lost in Evo's sublime 2013 Car of the Year testing

Fri, 08 Nov 2013

Every year Evo stages its Car of the Year test, bringing the best performance cars in the world to one location for an epic shootout. This year the magazine pitted eight CotY finalists against each other on Route Napoleon in Southern France - Evo claims it's the "best road in the world" - and then proceeded to nitpick the smallest of faults on each car until the winner could be named. You see, this year's lineup of machines was just so good that only one car obviously wasn't CotY material from the get-go. Can you guess which one judging from the list below?
- Aston Martin V12 Vantage S
- Audi R8 V10 Plus
