Leaks a few drops of oil per week from the lower oil pan gasket. This is an easy/cheap fix. Needs original oval chrome side view mirrors ($60/each on ebay)"

I bought this car to restore it but while adjusting the valves my condo association had other ideas about me working on it in the carport and threatened to fine me if i work on it anymore. Since I bought it 3 months ago to restore it, I need to pass her on to someone else to finish what i've started.

New Parts/Repairs:
  • New Oil Vapor Separator
  • New Fuel and Oil Hoses
  • New Door Handle (Needs installation)
  • Valves adjusted
NO RUST. California car. Always garaged.

Runs great. Can cruise along at 90MPH on the freeway no problem. I drive it on the weekends on Pacific Coast Highway and always get looks and compliments. Lots of car for the money.

Steering and handling is amazing. Car is super fun to drive around.

 EVERYTHING WORKS

UPDATE:

Someone asked about the repairs I wanted to do. Pretty typical old car/old alfa stuff.  Here's what I was working

1. Mirror isnt original, wanted to install new original ones like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/24547000-Side-Mirror-Cross-and-Serpent-Embossing-1969-Alfa-Romeo-Spider-/121136740316

2. minor oil leaks: lower oil pan, few drops a week--ive been told this is typical. Leak on the dipstick holder (i changed hoses so not that)

3. Tune up. has old spark plugs and the fuel pressure modulator and idle should be dialed in. i'll do these adjustments before the sale. I adjusted to be sure that it would pass smog without any problems but I think its running too rich now. hasnt had an oil change since ive had her.

4. switch door handle for new one (included)

5. pulley or belt squeaks sometimes. This was my next project when I was interdicted by the condo association nazis.

6. stereo is a sucky cassette player. antenna doesnt go up automatically (have to lift it up) speakers are decent.

PICTURES OF CLEANER INTERIOR, TRUNK AND UNDERCARRIAGE COMING SOON.

Alfa Romeo Giulia is the sexiest starlet in LA

Wed, Nov 18 2015

Generally, there's a fair amount of debate about what the best-looking car at any given auto show may be. We, however, humbly submit that for the 2015 LA Auto Show, there's no point in arguing – it's the Alfa Romeo Giulia. Here on US soil for the first time, the troubled Italian brand unveiled the stunning sedan that will herald Alfa Romeo's long-awaited return to the North American market. The handsome red four-door is more or less what we've seen before. That means a thundering 2.9-liter, twin-turbocharged V6 that develops 505 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque. No matter where you're from, that qualifies as "a lot." But unlike the Alfa we saw in Milan, there's more to talk about than the top-flight Quadrifoglio model. Alfa let slip that following the fire-breather's arrival, the sedan would also get a more modest 2.0-liter turbo, capable of producing 276 horsepower. Following that, all-wheel drive will join the options list alongside standard rear-wheel drive. We've got a fresh batch of live images of the stylish Italian. Have a look, and then scroll down for a refresher on Alfa's original press release. Alfa Romeo: Reports of 4C's death by 2020 aren't true

Wed, Jul 20 2016

The Alfa Romeo 4C is a purpose-built sports car that hasn't put up stellar sales figures in the US. As we found out, it's an uncompromising machine, which is probably one reason why the automaker is struggling to shift a large number of units. A recent report from Autoline, citing Auto Forecast Solutions, claims that Alfa is planning to axe the 4C Coupe and 4C Spider from its lineup by 2020. The report claims that the automaker plans to cancel the next generation of the 4C to focus on manufacturing new models that would have more sales potential. Alfa only managed to sell 309 units this year – that's only 11 more units than the Dodge Viper, which will be going out of production next year. When we questioned an Alfa Romeo spokesman on whether the 4C would be discontinued by 2020, he stated that no plans had been announced yet and referred us to Fiat Chrysler Automobiles' five-year plan. The plan mentions two "specialty" models that Alfa plans to introduce between 2017 and 2020. It's not clear whether these models would be in addition to or act as direct replacements for the 4C Coupe and 4C Spider. There's also a possibility that the upcoming models would serve the same purpose as the 4C models, but carry different names. The 4C marked Alfa's return to the US since it left in the 1990s. As part of the automaker's comeback, it plans to put a sports sedan, in the form of the Alfa Romeo Giulia, up against the Mercedes-Benz C-Class and BMW 3 Series later this year. Related Video:

Alfa Romeo unveils Formula One car for new season

Mon, Feb 18 2019

MONTMELO, Spain — Alfa Romeo has unveiled the new Formula One car that will be piloted by former champion Kimi Raikkonen this season. Raikkonen, teammate Antonio Giovinazzi and team principle Frederic Vasseur posed with the white-and-burgundy Alfa Romeo C38 in the pit lane of the Barcelona-Catalunya Circuit before preseason testing started on Monday. Alfa Romeo is the rebranded name for the Sauber team this season. Raikkonen joined Alfa Romeo from Ferrari, where he won the Italian team's most recent drivers' title in 2007. The 39-year-old Finn is joined by Giovinazzi, a 25-year-old Italian with two Grand Prix races under his belt. Sauber finished eighth in the constructors' standings last year. More AP auto racing
