Nice 1989 Alva Milano Verde. Acquired last year with the intention of adding an Evolution body kit and keeping forever since they are rare. I had many cars and this was the last one. I was hoping that I will be able to keep it but sadly I have let it go too. It carries a salvage title from New York state from the year 2000 due to a minor accident as I was informed by previous owner. I had it checked before purchase and there was nothing wrong with it. Any how, previous owner had it for the last 13 years after it was fixed.  The car has lots of of nice features. Please look at the pictures as they are from a couple of days ago. Here is a quick break down:

Exterior: is in very good condition. Has been painted at some point in its life. Some minor dings, one dint in passenger rear door one rust spot around the same area. Roof is done in Mat black plastic dip. Newer headlights. Newer Grill. Euro Tail lights with clear lens & amber signals. No crack or nicks in all glass. All lights work. Overall 8/10

Interior: No Cracks in Dash or door panels. All door handles/grams are intact and function correctly. Front seats are clean as you can see. Rear passenger seat a little worn. Carpets are good. Headliner is newer with gray suede like material and original black sunroof. Nice contrast if you ask me that matches seats. New Driver's side cushion. New leather shift knob and MOM steering wheels in perfect condition. No crack is center armrest (nice and soft). 9.5/10

Electrical: All switches function correctly. 9/10

Mechanical: Lots have been spent on maintenance. Engine was completely overhauled by previous owner. I spent over 2K in maintenance work to make sure I get no surprises for a long time. (i.e. timing belt, belts, water pump, thermostat, hoses, plugs....etc.). Very good brakes, Sharp steering. 9.5/10

Exhaust: Very nice ANSA dual tip Muffler sounds incredible). Brand new Cat installed a month ago to get car registered and smog legal in California. 9/10.

NO MECHANICAL UPGRADES...ALLL STOCK

*TSW 16 Inch alloys (total of 5 rims) Good rubber by General Tire.

*NO LEAKS

Now the most important thing that you want to know.............

The car is an absolute joy to drive. Straight and tracks very well. Verrrry tight. Pulls extremely strong in ALL GEARS. One of the best milanos I have ever owned. Tranny shifts like it should. No synchro problems here. Clutch is light on your foot and engages and dis engages like it should. Very fast car. A real head turner too. NO MECHANICAL ISSUES. A real nice Alfa for some one who wants the LAST YEAR for Milanos in the US.

One last note. Please have funds available. Put all your doubts to rest before you bid and or win. Ask questions first. Other than what I have described I have no other info to share really. Please read entire listing. No ridiculous offers please. I know what I have and its worth every penny I am asking. If you are looking for a project Alfa, this is not it. If you are looking for Cheap Alfa just cause, this is not it. I will entertain REASONABLE OFFERS.

Shipping is the sole responsibility of the purchaser. I will assist as much as I can in arrangements. Also to be clear, there is no implied or explicit warranty due to cars age and mileage. Please have realistic expectations as this is a 25 year old car.

Good Look to all and happy bidding.

Alfa Romeo pops the top on 4C Spider in Geneva [w/video]

Tue, Mar 4 2014

Alfa Romeo has made all manner of vehicles over the years: hatchbacks, sedans, wagons, coupes... there's even been talk of a crossover. But it could be argued that the quintessential Alfa Romeo is a roadster. While the future of the program with Mazda remains in doubt, Alfa has arrived in Geneva this year with a Spider version of the nimble little 4C. As anticipated, the 4C Spider chops the roof off the coupe and replaces it with rollover bars, spoilers and windshield frame all made of carbon-fiber and a lightweight canvas top. As a result, the 4C Spider is said to weight just 132 pounds more than the existing fixed-roof version. The low-density Sheet Moulding Compound bodywork has been rebuilt around the rear deck to replace the back, and carbon fiber is visible throughout the open cockpit. The 1.75-liter turbo 4-cylinder and 6-speed dual-clutch transmission carry over unchanged, as do the performance stats: 0-62 in 4.5 seconds and a top speed "in excess of 155 mph." The 40/60 front/rear weight distribution is also quoted as unchanged from the coupe, maintaining the 4C's handling balance. The 4C Spider also gets more conventional (read: attractive) headlights, and a central exhaust system made by Akrapovic (of motorbike fame) from aluminum and titanium. Though billed as a Design Preview, the 4C Spider is set to go into production early next year. All we're waiting for now is for Alfa Romeo to finally bring this – and the rest of its lineup – to North America. ALFA ROMEO 4C SPIDER DESIGN PREVIEW DEBUTS AT 2014 GENEVA MOTOR SHOW - Alfa Romeo 4C Spider "avant-premiere" previews new soft-top scheduled to enter production in 2015 - True to the philosophy of the Alfa Romeo 4C, the Spider Design Preview remains an ultra-lightweight, high-performance driving machine - Extensive use of carbon fibre and SMC*, as well as a lightweight canvas hood, ensures the Spider retains the Alfa Romeo 4C focus and purity - Stunning evolutionary design sees the addition of new headlamps, new wheels and an advanced new central exhaust system by Akropovic® The stunning Alfa Romeo 4C Spider Design Preview makes its world debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, previewing a new model scheduled to go into production in early 2015.

Cold start comparison: 2020 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio vs. 2013 Dodge Challenger SRT8

Thu, May 7 2020

The 2020 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio is a five-seat, compact luxury sport sedan packing 505 horsepower thanks to a 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V6. My personal 2013 Dodge Challenger SRT8 392 is ... well ... not. It's a full-sized muscle coupe whose iron-block 6.4-liter V8 makes 470 hp in the very traditional way: it's freakin' huge, like everything else about the car.  On paper, these two have nothing in common beyond the fact that they were built by the same multi-national manufacturing entity.  But if paper were the be-all and end-all of automotive rankings, everybody would buy the same car. And we don't, especially as enthusiasts. Whether it's looks or tuning or vague "intangibles" or something as simple as the way a car sounds, we often put a priority on the things that trigger our emotions rather than setting out to simply buy whatever the "best" car is at that particular moment.  So, what do these two have in common? They both sound really, really good. Like looks, sounds are subjective. While a rubric most assuredly exists in the world of marketing (attraction is as much a science as any other human response), we have no way of objectively scoring the beauty of either of these cars, and the same applies to the qualities of the sound waves being emitted through their tail pipes.  But we can measure how loud they are. In fact, there's even an app for that. Dozens, as it turns out. So, I picked one at random that recorded peak loudness levels, and set off to conduct an entirely pointless and only vaguely scientific experiment with the two cars that happened to be in my garage at the same time.  For the test, I opened up a window and cracked the garage door (so as not to inflict carbon monoxide poisoning upon myself in the name of discovery), and then placed my phone on a tripod behind the center of each car's trunk lid. I fired each one up and let the app do the rest. I then placed my GoPro on top of the trunk for each test so that I could review the video afterward for any anomalies.  I started with the Challenger. The 6.4-liter Hemi under the hood of this big coupe is essentially the same lump found under the hood of quite a few Ram pickups, and it has the accessories to prove it. Its starter is loud and distinctive. Almost as loud, it turns out, as the exhaust itself. As its loud pew-pew faded behind the V8's barking cold start, we recorded a peak of 83.7 decibels. In the app's judgment, that's roughly the equivalent of a busy street.

Here are all the vehicles sold by the 12 brands of the Fiat Chrysler PSA merger

Fri, Dec 20 2019

Sven Gustafson and Ronan Glon contributed to this report. Whether or not the formal merger between Italian-American automaker Fiat Chrysler and European conglomerate PSA Group means the return of Peugeot to the U.S., one thing’s for certain: The combined company will have a truckload of different brands. Sorting out what the deal means for all of them, including where they are sold and built, and whether and where there is product overlap, will be a key question for the two companies as they formalize the merger over the next 12 to 15 months. So far, both sides have steadfastly insisted that no job cuts or plant closures will result from the tie-up. WeÂ’ll see about that. In the meantime, weÂ’ve compiled an alphabetical list of all the vehicles currently sold in Europe and in North America by the various FCA and PSA brands, along with the years they debuted. We've gone into more detail about the European vehicles you might be less familiar with. The joint empire also has an antique store's worth of heritage-laced models and dormant brands, like Plymouth, Imperial, Simca, and Panhard, and it would have been even bigger had FCA not spun off Ferrari in early 2016. Alfa Romeo A legacy Italian sports car brand with roots in racing, Alfa Romeo has been struggling with declining U.S. sales. Giulia (2015): AlfaÂ’s rear-wheel drive sports sedan competes against German luxury sedans in North America and Europe. 4C (2013): The lightweight mid-engine rear-wheel-drive sports car is being phased out. Stelvio (2016): The Stelvio is a small luxury performance crossover that competes against the likes of the Porsche Macan and BMW X3 and is sold in both Europe and North America. Giulietta (2010): Sold in Europe, this compact hatchback is AlfaÂ’s entry-level model. After initially planning a rear-wheel drive 2020 update, the Giulietta is reportedly being nixed as part of FCAÂ’s latest product plans.   Chrysler Despite lending its name to its parent company, questions abound about the future of this legendary but faded brand, which is not offered in Europe. 300 (2011): Despite rumors of its pending demise, the four-door sedan lives on mostly unchanged for the 2020 model year, at least. Pacifica (2016): The successor to the Town & Country is ChryslerÂ’s bestselling model by a long shot and comes in gas-only and plug-in hybrid versions. Voyager (2019): ChryslerÂ’s newest minivan launches as its entry-level minivan for the 2020 model year.
