Costa Mesa, California, United States
Nice 1989 Alva Milano Verde. Acquired last year with the intention of adding an Evolution body kit and keeping forever since they are rare. I had many cars and this was the last one. I was hoping that I will be able to keep it but sadly I have let it go too. It carries a salvage title from New York state from the year 2000 due to a minor accident as I was informed by previous owner. I had it checked before purchase and there was nothing wrong with it. Any how, previous owner had it for the last 13 years after it was fixed. The car has lots of of nice features. Please look at the pictures as they are from a couple of days ago. Here is a quick break down: Exterior: is in very good condition. Has been painted at some point in its life. Some minor dings, one dint in passenger rear door one rust spot around the same area. Roof is done in Mat black plastic dip. Newer headlights. Newer Grill. Euro Tail lights with clear lens & amber signals. No crack or nicks in all glass. All lights work. Overall 8/10 Interior: No Cracks in Dash or door panels. All door handles/grams are intact and function correctly. Front seats are clean as you can see. Rear passenger seat a little worn. Carpets are good. Headliner is newer with gray suede like material and original black sunroof. Nice contrast if you ask me that matches seats. New Driver's side cushion. New leather shift knob and MOM steering wheels in perfect condition. No crack is center armrest (nice and soft). 9.5/10 Electrical: All switches function correctly. 9/10 Mechanical: Lots have been spent on maintenance. Engine was completely overhauled by previous owner. I spent over 2K in maintenance work to make sure I get no surprises for a long time. (i.e. timing belt, belts, water pump, thermostat, hoses, plugs....etc.). Very good brakes, Sharp steering. 9.5/10 Exhaust: Very nice ANSA dual tip Muffler sounds incredible). Brand new Cat installed a month ago to get car registered and smog legal in California. 9/10. NO MECHANICAL UPGRADES...ALLL STOCK *TSW 16 Inch alloys (total of 5 rims) Good rubber by General Tire. *NO LEAKS *NO SQUEECKS *NO RATTLES *NEW CAT (passed California smog test with flying colors) *Leather Shift knob *MOMO steering wheel *KONI Sport shocks all around *Lowered with rear springs and adjusting torsion bars to match. *Kenwood CD/MP3/USB Blue tooth head unit *JBL Front speakers (Seperates) *HiFonics 6x9 rears with 164 covers to match size. One of the best milanos I have ever owned. Tranny shifts like it should. No synchro problems here. Clutch is light on your foot and engages and dis engages like it should. Very fast car. A real head turner too. NO MECHANICAL ISSUES. A real nice Alfa for some one who wants the LAST YEAR for Milanos in the US. One last note. Please have funds available. Put all your doubts to rest before you bid and or win. Ask questions first. Other than what I have described I have no other info to share really. Please read entire listing. 2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio is like a taller, more practical Giulia
Wed, Nov 16 2016With the Giulia on its way to dealers in the coming months, Alfa Romeo's third current model for the US market is close behind. The 2018 Stelvio will give the company an offering in the ever-popular crossover SUV segment, and should bring Alfa's signature style and driving dynamics to the party. On paper, the Stelvio seems capable of delivering on classic Alfa fun. For starters it shares engines with the Giulia sedan, starting with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder in the standard Stelvio and Stelvio Ti models making 280 horsepower and 306 lb-ft of torque. Alfa will offer a Quadrifoglio model as well, which has the same twin-turbocharged 2.9-liter V6 as the Giulia Quadrifoglio that pumps out 505 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque. The company claims that the Stelvio Quadrifoglio will get to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds, just a tenth behind the Giulia. View 11 Photos Regardless of trim level, every Stelvio sends power through an 8-speed automatic transmission connected to Alfa's Q4 all-wheel-drive system. A mechanical limited-slip rear differential is available, and the Quadrifoglio adds a torque-vectoring rear differential. The drivetrain propels an aluminum-intensive chassis. The doors, fenders, front and rear frame assemblies, and various suspension components are all made of the lightweight metal, contributing to a near 50/50 weight distribution front and rear. Suspension is independent all the way around, and the Quadrifoglio gets a sportier, adaptive version. Styling-wise, the Stelvio also lives up to the Giulia. In fact, it looks more or less like a tall Giulia wagon. The front fascia is roughly the same, just with a taller center grille and slightly more swept back lower sides. The slope of the nose is much less raked, too. The character lines along the flanks and even the rear bumper are all very similar to the Giulia Quadrifoglio. The one part that isn't as successful, though, is the tail end. It appears Alfa tried to give the Stelvio a gently sloping hatch, but the result is a bulbous backside with lot of sheet metal. Inside, the Stelvio again echoes its sedan sibling, though in this case the top of the dash peaks above the center screen and slopes down to the right vent. In the Giulia, the top of the dash drops down immediately from the gauge cluster, and only rises again at the right vent. Speaking of gauges, the Stelvio features a 7-inch screen nestled between the tach and speedometer, the latter reading up to 200 mph in the Quadrifoglio.
Marchionne says no offers are on the table for Fiat Chrysler
Sun, Sep 3 2017MONZA, Italy (Reuters) - Fiat Chrysler (FCA) has not received any offer for the company nor is the world's seventh-largest carmaker working on any "big deal", Chief Executive Sergio Marchionne said on Saturday. Speaking on the sidelines of the Italian Formula One Grand Prix, Marchionne said the focus remained on executing the company's business plan to 2018. Asked whether FCA had been approached by someone or whether there was an offer on the table, he simply said: "No." The company's share price jumped to record highs last month after reports of interest for the group or some of its brands from China. China's Great Wall Motor Co Ltd openly said it was interested in FCA, but had not held talks or signed a deal with executives at the Italian-American automaker. The stock move was also helped by expectations that the company might separate from some of its units. Marchionne reiterated on Saturday that FCA was working on a plan to "purify" its portfolio and that units, such as the components businesses, would be separated from the group. He hopes to complete that process by the end of 2018. "There are activities within the group that do not belong to a car manufacturer, for example the components businesses. The group needs to be cleared of those things," he told journalists. Asked whether an announcement could come this year, Marchionne said it was up to the board to decide and that it would next meet at the end of September. He said the time was not right for a spin-off of luxury brand Maserati and premium Alfa Romeo and the two brands needed to become self-sustainable entities first and "have the muscle to stand on their feet, make sufficient cash". "The way we see it now, it's almost impossible, if not impossible, to see a spin-off of Alfa Romeo/Maserati, these are two entities that are immature and in a development phase," he said. "It's the wrong moment, we are not in a condition to do it." He said the concept of separating the two brands from FCA's mass market business made sense and did not rule out this happening in future, but not under his tenure, which lasts until April 2019. "If there is an opportunity in future, it would certainly happen after I'm gone. It won't happen while Marchionne is around," he said.
Alfa Romeo franchises 86 dealers across North America
Tue, Jun 10 2014Alfa Romeo's return to North America has been a long time coming, which has given us plenty of time to wonder: Will the now-merged Fiat-Chrysler let Fiat dealers sell Alfas, or will the shapely Italians be available in Maserati dealers? The answer we've been waiting for? Both. Auburn Hills has just released the list of 86 initial dealers that will be authorized to sell the Alfa Romeo 4C (Autoblog senior editor Seyth Miersma is driving one today in San Francisco, incidentally), setting the groundwork for a larger Alfa Romeo lineup to follow. The list includes 82 dealers across 33 states and four more in Canada. Though the vast majority are expanding upmarket from Fiat studios, a few are branching downmarket from Maserati dealers - not a one of them, in case you were wondering, having expanded from a Ferrari showroom. The highest concentration of dealers will be found in California, Texas and Florida, but while you might have thought Little Italy would be a prime location, there won't be a single dealer in Manhattan. Not in any of the five boroughs, in fact, so if you live in New York, you'll have to trek out to Larchmont in Westchester or Somerville, New Jersey, to place your order. Of course, that's at least the case for now, as Alfa plans to eventually expand to over 300 dealers in North America. In the meantime, you can check out the full list in the press release below to see how close you are to a new Alfa dealer. ALFA ROMEO FRANCHISES AWARDED TO 86 DEALERS IN U.S. AND CANADA - Alfa Romeo dealer network established in U.S. and Canada - Initial pool of 86 dealers drawn from existing FIAT and Maserati brand dealers - Additional Alfa Romeo franchises to be awarded later this year June 10, 2014 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - An initial group of 86 dealers have been awarded Alfa Romeo franchises in the United States and Canada. In the U.S., 82 Alfa Romeo dealers are located in 33 states, with California, Texas, and Florida having the largest concentration of dealerships. There are four Alfa Romeo dealers in Canada in this first group. These 86 dealers will be the first to sell the all-new 2015 Alfa Romeo 4C coupe and limited-edition 4C Launch Edition when the iconic Italian sports car brand returns to the North American market this year. "This group of dealers represents the first phase in the Alfa Romeo dealer network selection process," said Peter Grady, Vice President of Network Development, Chrysler Group LLC.
