Up for sale is a rare 1965 Giulia 1600 Super.

This 1600 Super is almost the same as the Bol d'Oro, but it is in fact much rarer. These were made for only a few months in 1965, so very limited production.

Originally delivered to Lodi, Italy. Brought to the Netherlands in 1992.

This is a very original and solid car. No rust whatsoever.
I have seen no signs of welding or repairs anywhere, all rubbers are in the floors and all jackpoints are present and in good condition.

You don't see too many of these Giulia's in such an unmolested condition.

All the bits and pieces that are unique to this model are present, to name a few:

- Old type doorhinges
- Mechanical clutch
- Old type engine without the ears for the camcover (matching numbers of course)
- Dunlop brakes (recently revised, functioning great)
- Old type big seats
- Old type 15" wheels (including original sparewheel)
- All the right interior details like steering wheel, lights, aluminium rocker covers etc.

The Giulia did quite recently pass the safety and emission inspection here in the Netherlands (like the MOT and T?V). It can be driven anywhere without a problem. It handles well, brakes are good and absolutely no second gear problems. Engine runs very smooth on the correct Weber carbs. Differential doesn't make any noise.

The tires are the correct 15" Michelin MX tires.

The seats weren't at their best after 48 years, so I had them refurbished with the original material from Italy. It cost a fortune, but this car deserves a perfect interior. For this reason I also replaced the carpet.

For driving comfort the original springs and shocks were replaced (yellow Koni's).

This is a very healthy, rust free Giulia that represents great value, especially because of its great condition and because it's a very hard to find, rare example.

Car is located in the Netherlands.
All the documents are with the car and I will provide the documents you need to import the car into the US.

I have experience with shipping to the US and will assist where possible.
I have been a member of the Alfa Bulletin Board (Rodrick22GTV) for several years and have sold a few Alfa's to fellow boardmembers.

Shipping costs are somewhere between $800 and $2000, depending on your location.

2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio is the priciest Alfa you can buy

Thu, Feb 15 2018

Alfa Romeo has finally announced pricing for its Stelvio Quadrifoglio high-performance crossover, and it's not cheap. The base price is $81,590, which makes it the most expensive car in the Alfa lineup. The next most expensive is the Giulia Quadrifoglio at $75,295. That's a difference of roughly $6,000. And you can make the Stelvio even more expensive by optioning in Sparco carbon fiber shell racing seats or carbon ceramic brakes. Alfa hasn't revealed pricing for those, but expect the brakes to cost the same $8,000 that they do on the Giulia Quadrifoglio. You do get a lot of car for the money, though. The Stelvio Quadrifoglio gets the same twin-turbocharged, Ferrari-built V6 as its Giulia counterpart, still making 505 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque. That will take the car to 60 mph from a standstill in 3.9 seconds and on to a top speed of 177 mph. The Stelvio Quadrifoglio is also the current SUV lap time record holder at the Nurburgring. If the price seems acceptable to you, you'll be able to pick one up early this year. Planned Alfa Romeo 8C and GTV don't appear to have a future anymore

Fri, Nov 1 2019

The two Alfa Romeos we’ve been looking forward to most donÂ’t appear to have much of a future anymore, according to a report from Automobile. Both the 8C and GTV no longer exist on AlfaÂ’s product roadmap, and Mike Manley suggested they were canned, as well. “In the near term, the new portfolio for the brand is significantly scaled back with a corresponding reduction in capital spending,” Manley said, referring to Alfa Romeo in the companyÂ’s third-quarter earnings call. We've asked FCA if it can explicitly confirm anything on the 8C and GTV, but it offered no comment on the report. Additionally, FCAÂ’s presentation (uncovered by Motor1) of future Alfa Romeo vehicles left the 8C and GTV off the list. The only new cars planned for the future include a production version of the Tonale crossover and another unnamed crossover. FCAÂ’s presentation also states: “brand to focus on current market strengths with reduced global reach and overlap with other Group brands.” We all know that the strength of the market is in crossovers right now, so itÂ’s easy to infer what happens from there. Expensive, luxury sports cars are not where the scale and money is at for Alfa Romeo, a brand that isnÂ’t exactly thriving from a sales perspective today. Sales for both the Stelvio and Giulia are down in 2019 as those cars exit their honeymoon phase. Alfa is expected to have a midcycle refresh ready for consumption in 2021, so perhaps that could provide a temporary boost in sales for the Italian brand. FCA also said itÂ’s reducing planned capital spending on Alfa Romeo, which could hurt the brand even more in the future. This earnings call came the same day that the FCA-PSA merger was announced, throwing another wrench into the plan. WeÂ’re not yet sure what the merger will mean for Alfa Romeo and its presence in America, but we imagine more news on that will be coming as the companies transition to this new life together. The Giorgio platform appears to be safe for the time being, as Manley expressed his intentions to keep it around. This platform (underpinning both the Giulia and Stelvio) was developed with electrification of the powertrain in mind, so itÂ’ll be capable of handling a number of electrification efforts in FCAÂ’s future. We only wish the promising 8C and GTV wouldÂ’ve made it to production, but even Alfa appears to be thinning the herd of cars in favor of crossovers.
