ITEM DESCRIPTION: Selling my 1995 Alfa Romeo due to having a hard time finding qualified Alfa Romeo technician in Phoenix, AZ. The car has been in my family since brand-new, purchased off the showroom floor at ALGAR Enterprises Inc. in Rosemont, PA. It has always been garage kept and well maintained with thousands of dollars in receipts. It now has 179K miles, no accident damage/clean CARFAX report, clean and clear Arizona title, runs and drives beautifully but has the following issues that would need to be addressed: AC compressor bearing is failing will need to be replaced. Driver side door only opens from outside due to broken cable on inside door handle Rear tires in good condition, front tires will need to be replaced Front leather seats are rough, rear in good condition Hood and trunk do not stay open Small dent on right rear panel (photo11) The factory carpet on driver's side is damaged by battery acid spill and covered by Alfa Romeo floor mats Passenger side mirror adjuster does not work. Front windows and sunroof work, rear windows do not Gas cap needs to be opened from inside of trunk, electric opener does not work Has minor scratches from normal use. Bumper covers look fair but have some fading Although it needs some attention, it is a solid running, beautiful
exotic car with shortcomings to be expected from a 18 year old
vehicle. There are very few miles on clutch and belts (replaced last
year with the car only being driven on weekends) Lights and turn signals in good working
order, heater works, AC will need freon charge and compressor bearing
replacement. I have described this car to the best of my ability and I
would be happy to answer any questions and concerns you may have. Best method of contact would be through eBay message as I work in an area with intermittent phone coverage 602-281-2918. Reserve is very realistic compared to completed listings of such a rare car. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs and I will be glad to assist with any necessary shipping arrangements. |

Alfa Romeo considering Ferrari-developed engines for new product lineup
Sun, 06 Apr 2014A report in Bloomberg adds more details to the plans for Alfa Romeo's fourth turnaround plan in Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne's tenure, and this time Ferrari is apparently going to be part of the show. In December Automotive News Europe reported that a new Maserati-derived rear-drive architecture would be the centerpiece at Alfa Romeo, as well as coming Chrysler and Dodge products. At the time, ANE said the platform would support a new midsize sedan and wagon perhaps to be called Giulia, a fullsize sedan and a midsize crossover, with retail appearance of the product initiative commencing perhaps as soon as next year. It would be part of Fiat's $12.3-billion spend on new models and European recovery.
The Bloomberg report says that particulars haven't been finalized, but the plan is to have six new Alfas appear over the next five years, two of which would be SUVs. The futures of the Mito and Giulietta, two of the three cars Alfa currently sells and 99 percent of sales last year, aren't assured, meaning that the lineup in six years could be seven cars (including the 4C), six of which we haven't any definitive clue of yet. The top-tier versions of those cars, according to the report - perhaps the Quadrifoglio Verde - "will be equipped with motors developed by Ferrari."
Marchionne wants to get sales up to 300,000 units per year when the lineup is complete, pairing Alfa sales with Jeep's global dealer network to open up the retail channel. That kind of volume would get Fiat's Italian plants back in business properly, even though Marchionne's stance on Italy-only Alfa production would mean the end of the anticipated roadster that was to be twinned with the coming Mazda MX-5 Miata. Alfa's direction will be laid out in Detroit in May as part of the overall strategy presentation for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV.
Alfa Romeo Quadrifoglio trims leaving North America this summer
Tue, Feb 20 2024Larry Dominique, Alfa Romeo senior vice president and head of North America, used a LinkedIn post to set the countdown clock on the brand's Quadrifolgio models here. He wrote, "The opportunity to order a 2024 Giulia Quadrifoglio or Stelvio Quadrifoglio will close to North America at the end of April 2024. The last internal only combustion powered Quadrifoglio models for U.S. and Canada will exit the Cassino plant in June 2024." That gives shoppers about 10 weeks to place an order for the hottest versions of Alfa Romeo's sedan and midsize SUV, and until late summer to find a fresh example on a dealer lot. It's possible the internal-combustion-only Quadrifoglio is dying in the U.S. on its 101st birthday, Italian racing driver Ugo Sivocci having had the four-leaf clover painted on his car for the 1923 Targa Florio. Today, the clover represents models powered by Alfa's twin-turbocharged 2.9-liter V6, an engine said to be inspired by Ferrari's twin-turbo 3.9-liter V6. The six-cylinder makes 505 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque in typical form, the limited-edition Quadrifoglio Anniversario models produced last year making 520 horsepower and picking up the mechanical limited-slip differential derived from the sold-out, 540-horsepower Giulia GTA. This is just another step in the automaker's transfer to an all-electric lineup, all of the brand's launches from 2027 and thereafter meant to be electric. This isn't the end of the Quadrifoglio, Dominique himself writing in that post, "I look forward to presenting the next chapter in the four-leaf clover’s journey." Successive iterations will get some sort of electric assistance at the least, and perhaps turn into the 1,000-hp battery-electric 2026 Giulia Quadrifoglio that CEO Jean-Philippe Imparato hinted at last year, with an 800-horsepower Veloce trim below and a 350-hp base trim. Or, with PHEVs coming into fashion as a more affordable middle ground to the fully electric promised land, it might be time to take a little more inspiration from Ferrari — now a separate company — and poke around the underside of the SF90 Stradale. Alfa noises and pure electric driving on demand? Si, certamento.     Â
Alfa Romeo recalls Giulia and Stelvio — cruise control can go haywire
Fri, Mar 8 2019DETROIT — Fiat Chrysler is recalling more than 60,000 cars and SUVs worldwide because they can keep going on cruise control or accelerate even after a driver taps the brakes. The recall covers certain Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio models from 2017 through 2019. The company says a software error caused the problem, and it's advising people not to use the adaptive cruise control until it's repaired. The feature keeps moving vehicles a set distance from the cars in front of them. Fiat Chrysler says it's not aware of any crashes or injuries from the problem. Adaptive cruise control can still be turned off by stepping on the brakes for a longer time. Owners will be notified next month when they can schedule an update to the brake system software.
