RED w/ BLACK INTERIOR

ORIGINALLY  SAND COLOR

WEBER CARBS 40 DCOE 18

CURRENT OWNER SINCE NOV. 2002

MY CUSTOMER  PURCHASED IT FROM THE BOSTON AREA.

I HAVE SERVICED THE CAR SINCE HE BOUGHT IT.

THIS GTV IS A NICE DRIVER THAT HAS HAD A GOOD LIFE BUT NOT A  PAMPERED LIFE.

IT WAS ORIGINALLY SAND COLOR BUT WAS PAINTED RED I WOULD ESTIMATE SOMEWHERE IN THE LATE 90'S.

THE PAINT JOB IS A REASONABLE REPAINT BUT CERTAINLY NOT TO SHOW CAR STANDARDS.

THERE WAS NEW SHEETMETAL WELDED INTO THE FLOORS ABOUT 5 + YEARS AGO AND THEN THE FLOORS WERE SANDED TO BARE METAL AND COATED WITH PRIMER AND PAINTED WITH RUSTOLEUM BLACK.

REAR SEATING /  DECK AREA WAS FINE AND NOT TOUCHED.

SEATS AND CARPETING WERE REMOVED FOR THE ABOVE METAL REPAIR.

NEW FRONT SEAT UPHOLSTERY KITS WERE PURCHASED AND INSTALLED BY A TRIM SHOP.

REAR SEAT IS ORIGINAL - SEAT BOTTOMS ARE GOOD - SEAT BACKS HAVE A SMALL TEAR .

DOOR PANELS ARE VERY NICE .

THE DRIVER'S SIDE KICK PANEL HAS BEEN REPLACED WITH A PIECE OF WOOD VENEER.

PASSENGER SIDE KICK PANEL IS ORIGINAL WITH MAP POCKET.

PLEASE SEE PICTURES.

HEADLINER IS IN GOOD TO GOOD PLUS CONDITION.

DASHBOARD HAS A DASH CAP ON IT.

SO ORIGINAL DASH TOP NEEDS RESTORATION.

GAUGES WORK FINE.

RADIO IS NOT WIRED IN.

BODY HAS MINOR DINGS AND DENTS .

BUMPERS THE SAME .

FRONT GRILL HAS SOME PITTING COULD USE A REPLATING.

EVEN THOUGH THE FLOORS HAVE HAD SOME METAL RESTORATION THE BODY OVERALL HAS HELD UP REASONABLY WELL.

JACK POINTS ARE IN GOOD SHAPE ALONG WITH THE INNER SILLS AND OUTER PANELS.

TRUNK FLOOR ALSO IS IN GOOD SHAPE ALTHOUGH THE SPARE TIRE WELL HAS HAD SOME MINOR  REPAIR WORK DONE IN THE PAST.

UNFORTUNATELY THE FRONT BOX SECTION WHERE THE FRONT STABILIZER BAR IS ATTACHED AND THE RADIATOR BOTTOM SUPPORT AREA IS RUSTED AND NEEDS REPLACEMENT / RESTORATION.

PLEASE SEE PICTURES.

THAT SAID THE BAR IS SECURELY ATTACHED AS IS THE RADIATOR.

CAR HAS BEEN DRIVEN IN THE ABOVE CONDITION SINCE THE OWNER BOUGHT IT.

ALSO WHEN I PERFORMED THE RADIATOR SERVICE / REPAIR I HAD NO PARTICULAR PROBLEMS REFITTING THE RADIATOR.

GLASS IS GOOD AND SO IS THE RETAINING TRIM.

CAR RUNS AND DRIVES WELL.

I HAVE TAKEN A COMPRESSION TEST AND ALL 4 CYLINDERS ARE 150 + TO 160 PSI. EACH.

IT HAS A FUEL INJECTION MANIFOLD ADAPTOR KIT [ SHANKLE ? ! ]  FOR THE CARBS.

FUEL TANK WAS PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED AND RESEALED BY THE RADIATOR SHOP I USE.

RADIATOR WAS RECORED A FEW YEARS AGO.

BRAKE SERVICE WAS DONE ALSO A FEW YEARS AGO.

ALSO AN O.E. CISAM  EXHAUST SYSTEM WAS INSTALLED  A FEW YEARS AGO.

GEAR BOX WORKS FINE BUT DOES NEED TO BE WARMED  UP BEFORE 2 ND GEAR IS AT ITS BEST.

A BOX REBUILD IS PROBABLY GOING TO BE NEEDED IN THE FUTURE.

CLUTCH AND RELATED HYDRAULICS ARE IN GOOD CONDITION.

SUSPENSION IS OLD BUT STILL IN DECENT ORDER.

TIRES ARE OLD AND NEED REPLACEMENT.

HEATER FAN MOTOR IS FROZEN AND NEEDS REPLACEMENT OR REPAIR.

A GOOD USED SPARE HEATER FAN ASSEMBLY IS INCLUDED WITH PURCHASE.

FAN HAS BEEN TESTED AND BOTH SPEEDS WORK FINE.

WIPER ASSEMBLY WORKS FINE.

MY CUSTOMER BOUGHT THIS GTV IN NOV. 2002 FROM THE EAST COAST / BOSTON AREA.

HE HAS TAKEN GOOD CARE OF IT , GARAGED AND RARELY DRIVES IT.

SO DO TO THE FACT OF HIM RARELY DRIVING IT HE HAS DECIDED TO SELL IT .

HE IS A MOTIVATED SELLER AND HAS LOWERED THE RESERVE.

PLEASE UNDERSTAND THIS IS BASICALLY A GOOD GTV, A NICE DRIVER  BUT IT IS NOT A 90 + POINT SHOW CAR.

I BELIEVE  IT IS A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR A FUTURE RESTORATION .

CAR IS OPEN TO ANY INSPECTION.

PLEASE EMAIL OR CALL ME WITH ANY QUESTIONS.

847 - 480 - 8980  M - F  10 AM  TO  8 PM  CST. OR LEAVE A MESSAGE ANYTIME AND I WILL RETURN THE CALL.

Alfa Romeo will be expanding its lineup beyond the Tonale

Thu, Feb 2 2023

Last night, speaking with the press, Senior Vice President and Head of Alfa Romeo North America Larry Dominique gave us an idea of the Alfa lineup in the near future. The brand will be expanding its offerings, but not by too much. Alfa will eventually have five key models. It will have two offerings in the C-segment (Tonale-size), two offerings in the D-Segment (Giulia/Stelvio-size) and one in the E-segment (larger than Giulia/Stelvio). And as implied by our size clarification, we already know what most of those are, with the Tonale taking the C-segment SUV slot, and the Giulia and Stelvio for the D-segment. Dominique said the second C-segment vehicle would be something more car-like than the Tonale, though he wouldn't commit to saying it would specifically be a sedan. So it's possible it could be some kind of hatchback or maybe a coupe-like SUV. He was more vague about the E-segment vehicle. Considering the car market, some kind of SUV would seem most likely. As previously reported, this E-segment machine will arrive in 2027 with a wide range of electric powertrains from 300 to 1,000 horsepower. All of these new models will be fully electric. That includes the next-generation Giulia and Stelvio. The Tonale won't be going completely electric just yet, but it seems reasonable to assume a new generation model will be. Dominique noted that the Tonale, which is only offered with a plug-in hybrid in the U.S., is a good way to start introducing both dealers and customers to the idea of electrified Alfas. Apparently these five segments are the limit for Alfa for the time being. Dominique said that those models will cover more than 80% of premium buyers, and Alfa is trying to be "efficient" with how it covers the market. So don't expect the myriad bodystyles and niches from German brands such as BMW and Mercedes. There is one possible exception: a sports car. Dominique said that they're always interested in a sports car or halo product. He wouldn't commit in any way to such a product, though. With that being said, there's already been one teaser for something that might be just such a special sports car, maybe called 6C, a few weeks ago. We doubt that Alfa will launch a sports car that will stick around like the 4C, it will probably just be limited production cars that can be sold out quickly. Related video: A Night With Giulia

2023 Alfa Romeo Giulia Estrema bridges the Quadrifoglio gap

Mon, Mar 28 2022

Alfa Romeo is expanding the 2023 Giulia range with a model named Estrema that was developed for driving enthusiasts. Also available on the 2023 Stelvio, the Estrema trim level bridges the gap between the Veloce variants of both cars and the high-performance Quadrifoglio. "Estrema" is Italian for "extreme," and in this case it denotes a car that — in Alfa Romeo's words — was designed for "a connoisseur of driving." The list of standard features grows with the addition of a limited-slip rear differential and the adaptive Alfa Active Suspension system for both comfort and performance. These updates may not sound major, but they should make a perceptible difference on the kind of twisty roads that the Estrema models were created for. Car-spotters will be able to pick out the Estrema versions in a crowded parking lot by looking for carbon fiber exterior accents (including the piece of trim that underlines the grille), specific wheels that measure 19 inches on the Giulia and 21 inches on the Stelvio, dark "Estrema" emblems and black brake calipers. Inside, there's more carbon fiber, red contrast stitching and a blend of leather and Alcantara upholstery.  The Estrema models aren't any more estrema under the hood than the versions that they're based on. The only engine available in the United States is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged to deliver 280 horsepower and 306 pound-feet of torque. Rear-wheel-drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission come standard on the Giulia, though Alfa Romeo's Q4 all-wheel-drive system is available at an extra cost, and the Stelvio is exclusively offered with all-wheel-drive. With the Q4 system, the Giulia reaches 60 mph from a stop in 5.1 seconds. On sale now, Alfa Romeo's Estrema models are scheduled to reach dealers across the nation in the third quarter of 2022. Buyers have four colors to choose from: Alfa White, Alfa Rosso, Misano Blue, and Vulcano Black. Pricing is set at $56,685 for the rear-wheel-drive Giulia, $58,685 for the all-wheel-drive model, and $60,545 for the Stelvio. Note that these figures include a mandatory $1,595 destination charge. 2023 Alfa Romeo Tonale aims to be the enthusiast's small SUV

Tue, Feb 8 2022

Alfa Romeo's lineup will expand by 50% next year thanks to the 2023 Tonale, its new small SUV engineered to take on the voluminous and still-expanding utility segment beneath the Stelvio and its ilk. This new baby SUV packs a minimum of 256 horsepower and all-wheel drive with an optional, performance-oriented plug-in model available.  It's difficult to talk about the future of the automotive industry without acknowledging the spread of electrification and the rise in vehicular ride heights, and Alfa's checking both boxes with the Tonale. The small SUV will now be the brand's entry-level model. That's right; while you weren't looking, Alfa's lineup shrank to just two vehicles: Giulia and Stelvio. The company will add more electric variants in the coming years, including a BEV before the middle of the decade, so while the Tonale may be the first, it's not going to be the only, and while Alfa is adamant that there's a future for Giulia, we're now nearly a decade removed from the days of Alfa showrooms being populated by little coupes, convertibles, hatchbacks and sedans.  The Tonale shares its underpinnings with just about every other small SUV in the Stellantis portfolio. Its largest cousin sold here in the U.S. is the Jeep Compass. We don't have all the numbers for Tonale just yet, but we suspect the only thing it'll really have in common with Jeep's economical compact will be the length of its wheelbase, which slots it into the same class as the Audi Q3, BMW X1, Mercedes-Benz GLA/GLB and Lexus NX. And there's certainly nothing Compass-like about its exterior, which looks credibly Alfa-like. LED lighting is standard; the fancy wheels on the models shown in these photos are not; you'll need the Veloce trim for those.  Alfa's punching up a bit in the cabin too. A 10.25-inch Uconnect 5 infotainment system is standard (the Stelvio's base screen is just 8.8 inches) and paired to a 12.3-inch digital cluster display skinned to look like a vintage Alfa Romeo instrument panel. The Uconnect system is integrated with Alfa Connected Services to enable over-the-air updates and other personalized functionality. Each Tonale can store five individual driver profiles accessible via a single touch and is compatible with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. But while Alfa promises the Tonale will feel appropriately luxurious for its price point, this isn't aimed at the crowd that wants a soft, distant experience.
