I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE 2 YEARS AGO AND HAVE HAD NO ISSUES WHATSOEVER WITH THE ENGINE, CHASSIS OR ANYTHING ELECTRICAL. THE EXTERIOR PAINT COLOR IS IN IMMACULATE CONDITION FOR BEING AN 05’ AND HAS A COUPLE OF TINY 1CM DINGS FROM HIGHWAY TRAVEL ON THE FRONT LOWER BUMPER AND SIDE MIRRORS. THE PAINT IS STILL SHINY AND I’VE MAINTAINED IT IN A PARKING GARAGE. THE INTERIOR IS A BEIGE COLOR AND THE DRIVERS SEAT IS THE ONLY ONE THAT SHOWS A LITTLE AGE DUE TO ALWAYS HAVING A DRIVER. EVERYTHING WORKS PERFECTLY ON THIS VEHICLE, OTHER THAN THE PASSENGER DOOR LOCK DOES NOT GO UP OR DOWN ON COMMAND … ( Acura DEALER SAYS ACTUATORS ARE OUT AND WILL COST 400.00 FOR BOTH) …AND THE PASSENGER DOOR DIAGNALLY FROM IT IN THE REAR. THIS CAR HAS NEVER SEEN SNOW AND ALWAYS BEEN A FLORIDA CAR. THE TIRES HAVE ABOUT PLUS 50% THREAD ON THEM AND BRAKES WERE DONE ROUGHLY 1 AND HALF YEARS AGO WITH 59,000 MILES AND USED AKEBONO BRAKE PADS. LASTLY, STILL HAS ORIGINAL ACURA MATS AND I HAVE ALWAYS USED PREMIUM GAS AND MOBIL 1 SYNTHETHIC OIL. OVER ALL THIS IS A RARE COLOR AND FOR ITS OUTSTANDING CONDITION I AM ASKING 14,900.00 IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE TO EMAIL ME. I WILL BE SELLING THIS VEHICLE LOCALLY; HENCE, I DO HAVE THE LEGAL RIGHT TO STOP THIS AUCTION IF IT SELLS LOCALLY. *** MY CREDIT UNION ARE THE LIEN HOLDER’S OF THE TITLE. SO AS SOON AS I PAY OFF THE SMALL REMAINING BALANCE I WILL FORWARD TITLE TO NEW OWNER. I WILL ONLY ACCEPT CASH LOCALLY, WIRE TRANSFER, OR A CASHIERS CHECK ( ONCE IT CLEARS) I WILL PAY OFF THE CAR AND INITIATE THE TITLE PROCESS. |

Honda CEO says we shouldn't expect any new sports cars
Tue, 19 Nov 2013It wasn't so long ago that Honda was known for its sporty two-door models, with models ranging from the Civic del Sol to the Prelude and from the Acura Integra and RSX to the Honda S2000. But look at its range today and all you'll see are the Civic and Accord coupes. Honda has essentially let competitors like the Scion FR-S/Subaru BRZ and Nissan 370Z take the place it once claimed as its own. But if you were hoping Honda would fight back with a new coupe or convertible of its own, we're afraid you're going to have to downgrade those hopes to pipe dreams.
While in Japan ahead of the Tokyo Motor Show, Autoblog had a chance to sit down with American Honda CEO Tetsuo Iwamura (pictured at right). When we asked about the potential for a new sports coupe or convertible in the Honda or Acura lineup, he pointed to the current Civic and Accord coupes - not to mention the upcoming new NSX - but said that Honda has no replacement for any of the aforementioned models (or a rival for the FR-S or 370Z) in the pipeline, saying only that the company is monitoring potential demand.
What Iwamura-san did note was that he's a personal fan of the new S660 roadster (pictured above) set to be unveiled tomorrow, and he is pushing (or at least hoping) that it will come to North America. Given that he's head of both Honda's American office and its global automobile operations, one might think that the only person he would have to persuade is himself (well... himself, and potential buyers), but the sporty droptop looks to be about kei-sized, which sadly suggests that it may be too small for American tastes and perhaps not designed with US crash-test standards in mind anyway.
Acura ILX headed for Civic-like early upgrades
Wed, 12 Dec 2012The not-yet-ready-for-primetime 2012 Honda Civic saw it quickly returned to sender for refurbishment, now the Acura ILX is headed in the same direction in its very first year. Automotive News reports that the small, Civic-based sedan from Honda's luxury brand isn't meeting sales expectations, with an annualized rate of 22,000 to 24,000 sales instead of the 30,000 the company is after. More telling is that the ILX "is being outsold by the Buick Verano, Volkswagen CC and Audi A4," and, except for two months since it launched, it has also been outdone by the Acura TSX it is meant to replace.
Part of the cause has been the 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine: its 150 horsepower to motivate a sedan that can weigh up to 2,970 pounds doesn't offer the kind of performance or value experience that buyers in the segment respond to. Another big issue is that the top-level 2.4-liter engine is only offered with a six-speed manual even though most buyers of the highest trim don't really want to shift their own gears. Lastly, the ILX might not put enough space between it and its frugal underpinnings - our first drive review pegged it as "the world's nicest Honda Civic."
An automatic transmission is on the way for the 2.4-liter, but it isn't clear when. And while Honda admits that the 2.0-liter is underpowered and Automotive News says it's on the way out, the company hasn't yet said how that situation will be corrected.
2016 Acura NSX: Everything there is to know [w/video]
Mon, Jan 12 2015The road to supercar stardom is littered with missteps. For every slam-dunk like the McLaren F1 and Ferrari F40, there are contenders that never quite reach their full potential – think Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren and Jaguar XJ220. Fear of building a mediocre halo car is why automakers take costly detours like reverse-engineering a carbon fiber chassis when aluminum just won't do (we're looking at you, Lexus LFA), and it's often those second, third, and even fourth major redirects that can make the difference between has-been and hero. History has been kind to the late, great Acura NSX. Though its final years saw it lagging in power, ballooning in price and burdened by unsightly bubble headlamps, the NSX went to pasture in 2005 with a reputation for being an innovative, driver-focused ride that also happened to be practical enough for daily use. Despite its lofty aspirations and attainable price point, fifteen years of production saw just under 9,000 NSXs on the road, which begs the inevitable question: was Acura's mid-engine top dog too tame to be great, yet too ubiquitous to be exotic? Considering how the NSX redux has been worked (and re-worked as a stillborn front-engine V10 GT, only to return to a mid-engine layout), it's safe to say Acura is intent on securing supercar greatness. While the essential spirit of the original NSX program targeted the "New Sports Experimental" idea, Large Project Leader Ted Klaus says that Shigeru Uehara, the man responsible for the original NSX (and Honda S2000, among others) advised the US-based development team that they ought to be "... open-minded to doing things for the emotional benefit of the customer," and not come from a place that was "hyper rational." In other words, build a car that makes the heart skip a beat. View 8 Photos As such, the next-generation NSX has departed from the 2013 concept and assumed a more emotional, expressive design language that hides a more engineering-intensive drivetrain. Gone is the naturally aspirated, transverse-mounted V6, replaced with a longitudinally mounted, turbocharged, dry-sump V6 that produces "north of 550 horsepower," according to Acura brass. As before, the internal combustion mill works with three electric motors to deliver power to all four wheels. Super Handling All-Wheel Drive, indeed – or, as Acura refers to it in this application, Sport Hybrid Super Handling All-Wheel Drive. Why the shift?
