2004 Acura Tsx 6-speed Manual! Rare! on 2040-cars
Montgomery, Alabama, United States
Don't buy from a dealer or used car lot! I'm not going to charge you any filing, service or document fees. I will, however, be able to give you actual information about the history of this car. Try getting that service at a used car lot! Here are some details: ---------- 2004 Acura TSX, Nighthawk Black Pearl exterior, tan leather interior with wood-grain accents, 6 speed manual transmission, 6 CD changer, moonroof, 17" alloy rims, stability control, traction control, remote keyless entry, alarm, front heated seats, HID headlights, power windows, power side mirrors, power door locks, 8-way power driver seat, cruise control, tilt, ABS, dual-climate A/C, heat, fold-down rear seats, 8-speaker component audio system Want some more pictures? Send me a message and I'll give you a Dropbox link with lots more. History: ---------- This car has been garage-kept and babied for the near 4 years I've owned it. No accidents. Extremely reliable car. Oil changed with full synthetic every 4,000 miles. Compressor failed recently, so the entire A/C system was replaced just to ensure no floating metal pieces would ruin the new compressor. New battery replaced in March, 2013. K&N lifetime air filter installed Feb. 2011, New throttle position sensor and front door lock actuators (these fail on nearly all TSXs). New starter as of December 2013. Probably 55,000 miles left on the front tires and 40,000 left on the rear tires (60,000 mile warranty on front tires w/ roadside assistance, included in glove box). Nothing else besides normal maintenance and preventative maintenance has been required on this car. Side note: the engine uses a timing chain instead of belt, so it doesn't need replacing. How can a car look so good?! ---------- I use Meguiar's Mirror Glaze 105 and 205 polish with a dual action polisher and Meguiar's 21 Mirror Glaze Synthetic Sealant 2.0 to keep this car looking new. People are so surprised when I tell them what year this car is--they usually guess it's around a 2010. Why I'm selling: ---------- I would love to keep this car, but my wife can't drive a manual transmission. I'm definitely staying with Acura or Honda after my experience with this car, though. |

Mid-engine Honda sports car surfaces in EU patent drawings
Wed, Jul 19 2017Based on new patent drawings, Honda clearly isn't done with sports cars. The design you see above was registered and published by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and was first reported by AutoGuide. The drawings show a rakish, angular sports car design that is very clearly mid-engine. It could almost pass for a Lamborghini. But the name on the design is Honda Motor Company, and aside from the name, it bares a strikingly similar appearance to a mid-engine design found in a Honda patent two years ago. In fact, the only major difference between this car and the older one (seen below) is the lack of a windshield and top. The shape of the lights and the grille, as well as the front fender vent and character lines running from it, are reminiscent of the S660 kei roadster for Japan. The large, angular intakes look more related to the Acura NSX, though. View 6 Photos Unlike the previous patent renderings of the car, this one has an interior, and the inclusion of it may be why the top and windshield are absent. The interior also leads us to believe that this design is for an upcoming concept. The steering wheel is a small, rectangular piece similar to what you would find in an F1 car or Indy car. The seats also look like thin buckets designed to be as sporty and light as possible. A production version would probably have a bit more cushioning and a round wheel. It does look like there is a pushbutton transmission setup in the center console like current Acuras, though. So what does this mean? Honda is clearly still working on this design, and based on some of the more radical design choices for the interior, we're likely looking at a concept car that will show up in the next couple of years. Whether a concept will lead to a production car is tough to say. There's definitely room in Honda's global sports car roster between the S660 and NSX for something in between, and Honda has reported that it's getting pressure from dealers for sporty cars. The exterior design isn't so extreme it couldn't be tweaked for production, either. There have also been rumors that Honda is preparing a mid-engine hybrid sports car with the Type R's turbocharged four-cylinder. Honda also holds a trademark for the name "ZSX," which fits the naming scheme of the NSX and old RSX, but at least in Europe, Honda has held the trademark since 2009. We'll just have to wait and see what Honda does.
2015 Acura TLX production gets underway in Ohio
Tue, 15 Jul 2014It's been three months since Acura unveiled the supposedly production-ready TLX sedan at the New York Auto Show, but dealers have yet to receive any units to sell. That's because, as we reported back in April, production of the TLX was pushed back. We're glad to report now, however, that production has commenced at the Marysville Auto Plant in Ohio.
The Honda facility in Marysville, just south of Columbus, also produces the Accord sedan and coupe for local consumption and export. With over 30 years since its founding, the factory has previously handled production of the Acura TL and RDX as well as the company's Gold Wing motorcycles.
The Marysville Auto Plant is one of many facilities which Honda operates in Ohio. Among the others, you'll also find the East Liberty assembly plant that handles the Acura RDX as well as the Honda Crosstour and CR-V, an engine plant in Anna, a transmission factory in Russells Point, several R&D centers, component manufacturers and a new Performance Manufacturing Center being built to handle the coming NSX sports car in Marysville.
2020 Lamborghini Huracan Evo has the biggest price discount in America
Thu, Apr 9 2020Right now, buyers of the 2020 Lamborghini Huracan Evo are paying an average of $248,000 to drive the brand-new supercar off the dealer lot. That's a hefty chunk of change, but it represents $16,269 off the car's average $264,969 retail price, according to data provided to Autoblog by Truecar. That's the largest discount in America on a new vehicle for the month of April, 2020 when judged by the dollar amount in savings off the sticker. It's not all that uncommon to see a lot of money taken off the sticker price of expensive luxury cars. This month, right behind the Lamborghini sits the 2019 BMW 8 Series with a few bucks shy of $11,000 in savings, which is hardly surprising. Though it's a very sleek and entertaining car in some of its various incarnations, it hasn't exactly proven to be a hot seller for the German automaker. The fact that there are a total of 15 (!) possible configurations probably doesn't help. Two other BMWs, the 2020 7 Series ($10,164 in savings) and the 2019 i8 ($10,145) are also on the top 10 biggest discounts list. In between that BMW sandwich are the 2019 and 2020 editions of the Acura NSX. It doesn't really matter which one a buyer chooses to drive off the lot, either way lopping off more than $10,000 off the sticker price means the electrified supercar will cost just under $150k.
