Up for sale today is my second owner, one of a kind, flawless 2005 Acura TL Automatic with 98k miles. You will NOT find a nicer Acura TL used. This beautiful Acura TL is in excellent condition, and has not a single issue to be fixed. It has been meticulously maintained and turns heads everywhere it goes. With the Silver exterior with Type-S Accents such as Type-S OEM Tail Lights, a Type-S Spoiler, Type-S LED Smoked Side Markers, Graphite Painted OEM TL Wheels, 35% tinted windows, and Gray Leather interior, this is the sharpest TL on the planet. This TL is fully loaded with full power mirrors, power locks, one touch power windows, power moonroof, XM Radio, premium sound, memory power with lumbar driver and passenger seating, and OEM TL floor mats.

This car looks and drives amazing. It has always been kept up on full synthetic oil changes and all maintenance. I bought it off the original owner, who had never driven it in the winter, and either have I. It has never been smoked in. It has always been garaged, and rarely driven in the rain. The exterior looks great and has no issues to note. The interior looks great as you can see with light wear on the seats, and no other issues to report. All power options work, there are no trouble lights, and brand new high performance all season tires were installed 100 miles ago. Just passed Ohio eCheck emissions testing with no issues.

Major maintenance done within the last month includes a new replacement transmission and front brakes. Seriously, do your research before you buy an Acura TL. They are NOTORIOUS for the transmission failing around 80k or more miles. I just had it replaced a month ago, and it drives and shifts like a brand new car. It came to over $2,500 to have the new transmission replaced and programmed correctly from a reputable shop. Buying a used TL is like taking a $2500 risk, but nearly every single used car has a transmission before 100k miles. Avoid it by buying this one that literally has a new transmission that is less than a month old. Buying this TL will remove that headache from occurring in the future. The water pump and timing chain were both replaced at 90k Miles. A buyer had told me he would buy it cash on the spot if I had the 100k mile Acura service completed, which I just did ($1300.) Then I never heard from him again.

The car runs and drives like a new vehicle. There is not a single suspension noise or driving problem. This is as close to buying new as you can get with a sued vehicle. I PROMISE you will NOT find a nicer, tastily appearance modified, well maintained problem free Acura TL with new tires, a new transmission replaced a month ago ever again - so please contact me if you are interested. Feel free to call or email me with any questions 614-522-9626. The blue book is $11,000 on the vehicle without any of the Type-S modifications, new transmission, or brand new tires, and the asking price is EXTREMELY fair. Clean title, no liens. If you are interested, CONTACT ME as I have the vehicle listed for sale locally as well!

Honda celebrates 30th anniversary of the NSX with a look back at how it began

Thu, Feb 7 2019

In 1989, the baseball-loving Japanese dipped their bats in pine tar and came to the U.S. to take gigundous swings. That single year launched five legends: Lexus LS400, Infiniti Q45, Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo, Mazda MX-5 Miata, and Acura NS-X concept. The Chicago Auto Show (!) hosted the global debuts of the Mazda and the Acura. While Mazda celebrates the bygones with the 30th Anniversary Miata, Acura's reminiscing with a look at how the NSX — a car Motor Trend described in 1990 as, "[The] best sports car the world has ever produced. Any time. Any place. Any price ..." — came to be. The development yearbook opened in 1984, a year after Honda returned to Formula One as an engine supplier for the Spirit team, and for the second Williams chassis in the last race of the season. For the first time in the automaker's history, Honda wanted to build a production car with the engine behind the cabin, one that would demonstrate Honda's engineering prowess and "deeply rooted racing spirit." The sports car would also serve as a halo for the not-yet-launched Acura brand. The engineering team built the first test vehicle in February 1984 on the bones of a first-generation Honda Jazz. After four years of formal development, Honda parked the NS-X Concept in a conference room at Chicago's Drake Hotel in February 1989. This is where the media would meet the red wonder before the public show-stand debut. The F-16 Fighting Falcon-inspired coupe was built on the world's first all-aluminum monocoque, and its SOHC V6 ran with titanium connecting rods. Before the press conference, then-Honda president Tadashi Kume got in the NS-X, started the engine, and revved to the 8,000-rpm redline — a noise felt by everyone in the adjacent conference room attending a Ford press conference. Honda's PR man at the time yelled, "Mr. Kume, stop it! They're gonna hear this!" When Kume got out, he asked Honda engineers present why they didn't put their new VTEC technology in the NS-X. (What's Japanese for, "Why didn't the VTEC kick in, yo?!") They told him VTEC had been created for four-cylinder engines. Kume told them to work on a V6 application. More suggestions came from journos who drove the early prototypes at Honda's Tochigi R&D Center, who said the NS-X "could use more power." The development team had grabbed the SOHC V6 from the Acura Legend for the NS-X concept, and it put out 160 horsepower in the luxury sedan.

2014 Acura MDX Prototype is exactly what we expected

Tue, 15 Jan 2013

Yep, it's the new MDX. And despite being totally redone, it looks exactly like we expected. That is, it's an up-sized version of the RDX crossover with fancy LED lights stolen from the RLX sedan. And while that might not sound too exciting, we have to say, it is handsome - certainly a more cohesive, refined design than the angular, beak-tastic model that's currently on sale.
Acura is calling this 2014 MDX a prototype, but that's only because it isn't 100-percent finished. Everything you see here will likely carry over to production, maybe with a couple small tweaks. Under the hood is the same 3.5-liter V6 that we know and love from the Honda group, and while we don't have power figures just yet, Acura says it will deliver more torque while improving efficiency. In redesigning the MDX, the Japanese automaker has managed to lighten and stiffen the chassis, improving driving dynamics. More interestingly, for the first time Acura will offer a front-wheel-drive version of the MDX, but don't worry, the automaker's SH-AWD all-wheel drive will be available.
Inside, the usual smattering of tech goodies will be on hand, including the next-generation AcuraLink system, satellite radio, tons of comfort amenities and every single alphabetic safety device known to man (okay, maybe not all of them).

2017 Acura NSX #001 is finally here | Autoblog Minute

Sat, May 28 2016

The first 2017 Acura NZX rolls off the line in Ohio and Lincoln may be ditching some initials for a classic nameplate. Senior Editor Greg Migliore reports on this edition of Autoblog Minute. Show full video transcript text [00:00:00] The first 2017 Acura NSX rolled off the assembly line this week in Marysville, Ohio. Marking the return of the iconic supercar. VIN #001 went to Nascar Owner Rick Handpick. He paid $1.2M at auction for the first NSX. The proceeds went to charity. The 2017 NSX uses a twin turbo V6 teamed with three electric motors to make a total of 573-hp and 476-lb.ft of torque. The supercar also runs a nine speed dual clutch transmission and AWD. The starting price is $157,800 but you can option this thing out to well over $200k. Ford Motor Company applied this month to get the rights to the trademark for the word Zephyr. Lincoln is using some real names again aside from these MKC and MKX things that don't mean a lot to the general public. The Navigator is going strong and a new one comes on next year. Plus it brought back the Continental which was a well revived move. So Zephyr should ring a bell it was used in the 1930s and 40s, it was also used a little less memorably in 2006 on a Lincoln model that was essentially a rebadged Ford Fusion. Here's the take away: we think the MKZ might be rebadge as the Lincoln Zephyr. For Autoblog I'm Greg Migliore. Autoblog Minute is a short-form video news series reporting on all things automotive.
