2009 Acura Tl Sh-awd Tech Pkg Classy Body Kit Push To Start 1 Of A Kind!!! on 2040-cars
Riverview, Michigan, United States
I am selling my wifes Acura TL. We bought this car 2 years ago and has served us extremely well with no issues what so ever. Oil changes done regularly at Acura of Farmington hills MI. This is a extremely nice Acura TL, as you can see from the pictures it comes with what seems to be a factory body kit. This is how I bought the car. I have not came across any other Acura TL's on the street with this same body kit. It makes the car stand out and gives it a sportier aggressive look. The car is fun to drive with 300 hp. Has the auto manual option with paddle shifters. It comes fully loaded with AWD and Tech package. You must see this car in person to appreciate. No rips or tears on the leather. Some of the other options are navigation, rear view camera, stitched leather seating, heated seats, usb connection to the system, you can upload your own picture for the screen saver on the navigation, XM radio, blue tooth, 35% tint all around, HID headlights. Car is extremely reliable and has no issues. It has been babied. Waxed recently. Minor scuff marks on a few of the rims, I have included detailed pictures for you to see. I try to be as accurate as possible when listing vehicles on ebay, however I am human. I apologize if I make a mistake or forgot to mention a blemish, but for the most part this car is in great condition. This is why I STRONGLY encourage all potential buyers to please come see this car in person. It is truly a car of beauty. My wife rarely drives most of the miles have been accumulated from long trips out of state. Excellent mpg. Great pickup. The AWD on this car is amazing. Plows right through the snowy streets. Comes with OEM Acura TL rubber matts for the rain/snow season along with never used OEM factory TL carpet matts still in package. Please see photos on photobucket. Excellent traction and great performance all year round, what more could you ask for? Please feel free to contact me for any questions or concerns or to come set up a time and day to come see it in person. I do owe a small loan on the vehicle that will be paid off once I receive a deposit. If buyer is local I can accompany them to the bank to get the loan signed off then to our secretary of state (Michigan DMV) to transfer the title OR I can mail the title once the lein is released. Please ask any and all questions before hand. No accidents or paintwork being indicated anywhere. I have many more pictures that can be viewed at the following link for photo bucket. Please look at all pictures in detail before bidding. I get a lot of compliments wherever I go in this car, Most people have never seen one with a kit on it like this. Definitely makes the regular TL's look plain. Check my feedback and bid with confidence. I take pride in my ownership. Acura product roadmap leak points to 'compact Type S' and MDX Type S
Tue, Jun 2 2020The Type S moniker is back along with the 2021 Acura TLX Type S sedan. And today, the internet has sprouted some more Acura Type S news. We caught wind of a forum post on Acurazine through a thread on Reddit that includes a link to a video allegedly shown during Acura’s 2020 dealer meeting webcast. That video doesnÂ’t appear to be live anymore, but an enterprising individual happened to screenshot the most important slide from the video: AcuraÂ’s product roadmap to 2022. HereÂ’s the link youÂ’re looking for. Take this information with a grain of salt. ThereÂ’s a good chance that this intel is correct, but plans change. Most imminent is a redesigned Acura MDX with a Type S variant. We expect an MDX Type S to follow the same formula as the TLX Type S. AcuraÂ’s new 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 would be a fine candidate for this duty. With that powerplant (horsepower unknown, but likely around 400 ponies), it could punch up against SUVs like the Mercedes-AMG GLE 53, or punch down to the Ford Explorer ST. tuned suspension, plenty of appearance add-ons and sportier interior would also likely be along for the ride. ItÂ’s placed directly after the TLX on the chart timewise, so thereÂ’s a good chance that we see a new MDX soon. Next up is the one that weÂ’re especially excited about. A new Type S “compact sedan” is on the way. Acura neglected to give this one a name, which is odd, unless thereÂ’s a big secret it wants to keep. Right now, AcuraÂ’s small sedan is called the ILX. In past (and better) years, Acura named its small cars Integra and RSX. Might we see the return of the Integra name? Or perhaps RSX? ThereÂ’s precedent for an RSX Type S, and this small Acura appears to be getting the Type S treatment. So, what might a small Acura Type S look like? The car could borrow hardware from the Civic Si, or it could borrow from the Civic Type R. A more luxurious Civic Type R with AcuraÂ’s delightful and sharp styling would be splendid. ItÂ’d be dialed back to fit the Type S name, but nearly anything would be better than the ILX wallowing at the bottom of AcuraÂ’s lineup today. WeÂ’re left to guess at the details for now, but the roadmap shows that car arriving by 2022. There are two other small nuggets of info weÂ’ll point out on this roadmap. Acura doesnÂ’t list an RDX Type S anywhere on it. That could be because the RDX was recently redesigned, so itÂ’s not one of the completely new vehicles listed in the step ladder of new product.
Acura recalling 19.5K cars over automatic braking problem
Thu, Jun 11 2015Acura is recalling 19,502 vehicles to fix a software issue with their Collision Mitigation Braking System on the 2014-2015 MDX and RLX, plus the 2014 RLX Sport Hybrid. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration the technology can falsely interpret things like metal fences and guardrails along the side of the road as obstacles and unexpectedly apply "emergency braking force." Obviously, that would be rather disconcerting while driving. Number of Auto Recalls by Model Year | AxleGeeks According to the detailed documents from NHTSA, the first account of this happening came from Japan in November 2013, and that vehicle was rear-ended when the system suddenly braked. Another incident was identified there in June 2014. However, there have been no reports of this happening in the US. The fix is quite simple, though and just requires a software update for the system. Affected owners will be notified by mail, and the repair will be done at no charge. SUMMARY: Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 Acura MDX 2WD and AWD, RLX and 2014 Acura RLX Hybrid vehicles. In certain driving conditions, the Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) may incorrectly interpret certain roadside objects such as metal fences or metal guardrails as obstacles and unexpectedly apply the brakes. CONSEQUENCE: If the CMBS unexpectedly applies emergency braking force while driving, there is an increased risk of a crash. REMEDY: Honda will notify owners, and dealers will update the CMBS software, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule. Owners may contact Acura customer service at 1-800-382-2238. Honda's numbers for this recall is JQ4, JQ5 and JQ6. NOTES: Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.
2021 Acura TLX Long-Term Update | Drive mode selector is a surprise delight
Tue, May 18 2021You may have seen last week my column espousing the sensory benefits of physical switchgear in cars. They can add a bit of fun and character in the smallest ways. As it turns out, our long-term Acura TLX has a great example of this idea: the drive mode selector. In most cars, drive modes are typically chosen via a nondescript button tucked away in the center console. Sometimes the selector is buried in an infotainment menu. But in the TLX, it’s a huge, gleaming knob placed front and center in the main control stack. It would be impossible to miss. ItÂ’s actually even more prominent than the buttons for shifting. 2021 Acura TLX A-Spec View 51 Photos With the size and placement, itÂ’s a nice dial to grasp, and works with smooth action and a solid stop in either direction for flipping through modes. But what really brings it together is the speed at which modes are selected, and the sound the infotainment system makes upon choosing one. In some cars it can take a long time for the system to acknowledge your selection and engage it, but the Acura activates it nearly as soon as youÂ’ve let the dial snap back to center. And it confirms your choice with sort of whoosh-y electronic clink through the speakers. ItÂ’s the kind of quick reaction and sound design you get from high-quality video game menus. All of these aspects make the TLX nicer to use and feel more premium. It doesnÂ’t feel like a hassle to change drive modes since it takes very little time and works well. ThatÂ’s especially welcome if you like driving it in the sport mode, since the car defaults to the normal mode on start-up. It also makes the car feel like it has fast-acting software befitting a premium car. It may seem like a small thing, but small things matter when cars have become so good. And I appreciate that Acura took its time with this seemingly little component. Related Video:
