Up for sale is my USED 2008 ACURA TL TYPE S which White Diamond Pearl in color with Ebony/ Silver (black) interior. I have taken care of this car as if it was my wife. I have all records of maintenance. The car has always had its regular oil changes and maintenance at the dealership (Acura of Pembroke Pines). Also, I have regularly rotated the tires and kept them balance and the wheel alignment done after every oil change. (Buy a 3 year unlimited alignment plan at Tires Plus Trust me it pays off !!!) I have just put new tires on it this past Thanksgiving ! I just changed the In-cabin AC filter, Engine Air filter. This is the most sought after color combination for the 2007-08 TL Type S. The car basically comes fully loaded with all the options you can think of. Voice Activated Navigation, Rear view Camera, Heated side mirrors, Moon-roof, Heated Leather Seats. The car has an automatic transmission with paddle shifters which makes the ride more preppy and sporty ! The car has still remainder of ACURA's 72k miles Power Train warranty that expires in November of 2014 !!! This is a CLEAN TITLE car. Was in a side impact accident in 2010 but all work was done by ACURA of PEMBROKE PINES. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the car and that is why the title is CLEAN and the car still carries its WARRANTY ! The car has upgraded 18-inch OEM A SPEC wheels with new Bridgestone RE 760 tires on them ! I also have WHEEL LOCKS installd and top of that the car comes with a CLIFFORD 2 way page Alarm with 2 remotes. The car has a shock sensor that warns before triggering. Both warnings and trigering events send an alarm to your remote as well. So if your in your house or apartment within a Half mile range, THE REMOTE VIBRATES AND BEEPS LOUDLY to let you know that your car alarm has been triggered/ warned. This car has always been in the STATE OF FLORIDA ! NEVER SEEN SNOW, NEVER SEEN FLOODING ! which basically means this car has NEVER SEEN SUPER STORM SANDY or NEVER SEEN WINTER STORM NEMO !!!

A car writer's year in new vehicles [w/video]
Thu, Dec 18 2014Christmas is only a week away. The New Year is just around the corner. As 2014 draws to a close, I'm not the only one taking stock of the year that's we're almost shut of. Depending on who you are or what you do, the end of the year can bring to mind tax bills, school semesters or scheduling dental appointments. For me, for the last eight or nine years, at least a small part of this transitory time is occupied with recalling the cars I've driven over the preceding 12 months. Since I started writing about and reviewing cars in 2006, I've done an uneven job of tracking every vehicle I've been in, each year. Last year I made a resolution to be better about it, and the result is a spreadsheet with model names, dates, notes and some basic facts and figures. Armed with this basic data and a yen for year-end stories, I figured it would be interesting to parse the figures and quantify my year in cars in a way I'd never done before. The results are, well, they're a little bizarre, honestly. And I think they'll affect how I approach this gig in 2015. {C} My tally for the year is 68 cars, as of this writing. Before the calendar flips to 2015 it'll be as high as 73. Let me give you a tiny bit of background about how automotive journalists typically get cars to test. There are basically two pools of vehicles I drive on a regular basis: media fleet vehicles and those available on "first drive" programs. The latter group is pretty self-explanatory. Journalists are gathered in one location (sometimes local, sometimes far-flung) with a new model(s), there's usually a day of driving, then we report back to you with our impressions. Media fleet vehicles are different. These are distributed to publications and individual journalists far and wide, and the test period goes from a few days to a week or more. Whereas first drives almost always result in a piece of review content, fleet loans only sometimes do. Other times they serve to give context about brands, segments, technology and the like, to editors and writers. So, adding up the loans I've had out of the press fleet and things I've driven at events, my tally for the year is 68 cars, as of this writing. Before the calendar flips to 2015, it'll be as high as 73. At one of the buff books like Car and Driver or Motor Trend, reviewers might rotate through five cars a week, or more. I know that number sounds high, but as best I can tell, it's pretty average for the full-time professionals in this business.

2021 Acura TLX Type S officially goes on sale tomorrow
Tue, Jun 22 2021The 2021 Acura TLX Type S is arriving at Acura dealerships tomorrow. After over a decade hiatus here, we’ll have an Acura with a Type S badge available to buy once again. It wonÂ’t be too much longer until the MDX Type S joins the TLX, too. You can read everything there is to know about the TLX Type S in our first drive review. ItÂ’s the high-performance model of the four-door sedan, featuring a new 3.0-liter turbocharged V6, sport-tuned suspension and AcuraÂ’s excellent SH-AWD system. Power is rated at 355 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque. Acura dropped a video (you can watch below) with todayÂ’s on-sale announcement to dive into some of the nitty gritty details of this new V6. One item the video misses is the TLXÂ’s new active exhaust system, though. ItÂ’s a new exhaust that is passed down from the NSX. As active exhausts go, this one is fairly standard. There are butterfly valves within the system that open depending on your throttle position or selected mode. Sport+ mode leaves them open 100% of the time, and theyÂ’ll even open in Comfort mode if you rev beyond 4,000 rpm. Acura says the exhaust is 5-7 decibels louder when the valves are open versus closed. If you want a new TLX Type S, the starting price is $53,325. Tack on the High Performance Wheel & Tire Package, and the price goes up to $54,125. YouÂ’ll probably want the wheel and tire package, too. The standard tires are Pirelli Cinturato P7 all-season tires, whereas the upgrade rubber gives you Pirelli P Zero summer tires. Those P Zeros are wrapping lighter wheels that save 5.8 pounds at each corner. The design is also inspired by the five-spoke wheels on the Acura NSX, so youÂ’ll be going faster and looking cooler. We have a feeling that itÂ’s $800 well spent. Related video:
