2007 Acura Tl Type-s Sedan 4-door 3.5l on 2040-cars
Pompano Beach, Florida, United States
This is literally the cleanest 2007 TL Type S for sale in South Florida. Best color combination you could get from the factory. I have been the only owner of the car since I bought it brand new in 2007. I have put my heart and soul (and my wallet) into this car. I wish I didn't have to sell but really need the money right now. Anything I put into this car was with the absolute best parts. I have done only cosmetic work to the car so it looks nice without the hassle of engine problems. I only put an AEM cold air intake to make it sound awesome, which it does. No rips in the leather. I have only put 93 octane gas and only used fully synthetic oil. I had all the fluids flushed and did 100,000 mile service at 85,000 miles. Absolutely NO mechanical problems ever since Ive had the car. Non-smoker. The car now has 107,xxx on it and were mainly highway miles as I was commuting to work. Clean title with zero accidents (you can run the VIN). Car: 2007 Acura TL Type S. Comes standard with every option including touchscreen navigation, bluetooth, paddle shifters, 3.5L VTEC engine, two-tone interior, backup camera, sunroof, MP3 multi-disc player, etc. 107,xxx miles. Automatic transmission. Sticker was $39,645 This is a breakdown of the mods and money I put into it (even though I know I won't get much of it back) Exterior: Suspension: This is the most expensive part I put on the car Interior is stock (but still sick) and engine only has an AEM cold air intake. I put the new 2014 Navigation disc for $150 in also so it is up to date. Also got TL all weather floor mats for $200. Pros: Cons: By no means am I trying to downplay the car. It is amazing as is for what it is. I am just OCD about the car and want every single thing to be perfect on it. I would fix it all up myself but don't have the money and I know I wouldn't be able to let go of the car if there was no flaws, I guess I'm emotionally attached lol. This car is in great condition. Only unusual problem I had since Ive had the car is the motor mounts broke but I replaced them a while ago so good to go. I know this posting is long but I just want to be thorough about the cars history and because I am passionate about this and want to be honest with the buyer. Kelly Blue Book private party value is $15500-16000. I have put over $50000 in the car throughout the years (including purchase price) and only want $15000 firm. 2021 Acura TLX A-Spec vs. Type S, Polestar 2 and Genesis G70 | Autoblog Podcast #700
Fri, Oct 15 2021In this episode of the Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Associate Editor Byron Hurd for the 700th installment. It's a premium-focused rundown as the two start off discussing Autoblog's long-term Acura TLX A-Spec and the Type S that is currently standing in for it, followed by some impressions of the Polestar 2 (and how it feels relative to its Volvo cousins) and a look at the 2022 Genesis G70 Launch Edition. Then, in "Spend My Money," they try to address a rather broad request for a pre-owned vehicle with only a handful of requirements.  Send us your questions for the Mailbag and Spend My Money at: Podcast@Autoblog.com. Honda to compete in seven Pike's Peak classes in 2014
Mon, 28 Apr 2014The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is one of the greatest events on the international motorsports calendar. Its Unlimited class harkens back to the old days of racing, when teams built vehicles to be the fastest with whatever they had. Honda is returning to the event for 2014 for its second year as a sponsor and participant, and it's bringing some cool machines of its own.
The company is fielding seven entrants this year, which is somewhat smaller than last year. In 2013, it brought 11 factory-supported vehicles in 10 classes, including an insane Honda Odyssey with a 532-horsepower turbocharged V6 engine. There's no need to be too disappointed by the shorter list, though. Former 24 Hours of Le Mans-winner Romain Dumas is back piloting a Honda-powered Norma chassis up the hill in the Unlimited class. Dumas attempted to race the car last year, but it broke down during his run. Other competitors include an NSX (pictured above), Fit B-Spec and an S3700, which is an S2000 with a 3.7-liter V6 engine.
In its role as sponsor, Honda says it has also worked with the sanctioning body to add an AirFence safety barrier along some corners for the motorcycle and ATV riders. This year's Pikes Peak is being held on Sunday, June 29. Scroll down to read the full details about Honda's team and start getting excited for this year's running.
Honda updates Takata airbag recall status for some models
Fri, 07 Nov 2014The net enveloping vehicles in the Takata airbag inflator recall just seems to keep widening. Honda is now updating its previous campaign to revise the status for even more models that were ever registered in (or originally sold in) 13 high-humidity US states and territories.
All of these vehicles were included in the company's earlier repairs. However, at the time this fix was titled "a safety improvement campaign." This latest action upgrades that condition to "a formal recall," according to Honda's official statement. The models include: the 2003-2005 Honda Accord, 2001-2005 Civic (pictured above), 2002-2005 CR-V, 2003-2004 Element, 2002-2004 Odyssey, 2003-2005 Pilot, 2006 Ridgeline, 2003-2005 Acura MDX and the 2005 Acura RL. All of these need to have their passenger-side, front airbag inflator replaced, and the recall affects Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, Texas, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, Saipan, Guam and American Samoa.
As with the rest of these affected vehicles, it's possible in a collision for the inflator to rupture spraying metal shrapnel at occupants. There are at least 139 injuries attributed to this problem from a variety of automakers so far. Among this latest population of vehicles, Honda says there have been no confirmed injuries or fatalities related to these exploding inflators.
