This is literally the cleanest 2007 TL Type S for sale in South Florida. Best color combination you could get from the factory. I have been the only owner of the car since I bought it brand new in 2007. I have put my heart and soul (and my wallet) into this car. I wish I didn't have to sell but really need the money right now. Anything I put into this car was with the absolute best parts. I have done only cosmetic work to the car so it looks nice without the hassle of engine problems. I only put an AEM cold air intake to make it sound awesome, which it does. No rips in the leather. I have only put 93 octane gas and only used fully synthetic oil. I had all the fluids flushed and did 100,000 mile service at 85,000 miles. Absolutely NO mechanical problems ever since Ive had the car. Non-smoker. The car now has 107,xxx on it and were mainly highway miles as I was commuting to work. Clean title with zero accidents (you can run the VIN).

Car: 2007 Acura TL Type S. Comes standard with every option including touchscreen navigation, bluetooth, paddle shifters, 3.5L VTEC engine, two-tone interior, backup camera, sunroof, MP3 multi-disc player, etc. 107,xxx miles. Automatic transmission. Sticker was $39,645

This is a breakdown of the mods and money I put into it (even though I know I won't get much of it back)

Exterior:
Carbon fiber grille $100
Carbon fiber emblems $100
Painted all other chrome accents to black $200
Painted roof black $250
Cleared out amber corners on headlights $150
Full A-SPEC kit $1500
Minor rear fenders flared $700 (so you can fit bigger wheels on the back. I had Vossen CV3s on there. 9s in the front and 10.5 in the back with 295/25/20! Super wide)
15% tinted windows $200
Sarona rear spoiler $400
Vossen CV3 wheels $2500 (SOLD)

Suspension: This is the most expensive part I put on the car
Tein Street Advanced Coilovers (so you can adjust the car to any height you want. I prefer the lowest)
EDFC Controller (so you can control the dampening which means how stiff or soft you want the ride. you can even adjust this while you are driving.)
Rear Strut Bar
Front Sway Bar
Top hat kits and bushings
Rear Ingalls Camber kit
Extended studs on the front hubs to fit bigger wheels
Spacers
This totaled $3500

Interior is stock (but still sick) and engine only has an AEM cold air intake. I put the new 2014 Navigation disc for $150 in also so it is up to date. Also got TL all weather floor mats for $200.

Pros:
Car was done right and treated well
Garage kept
Literally one of a kind. You wont see another one of these driving on the road
Just put new tires on the stock wheels that its currently sitting on
Head turner for sure
BRAND NEW BREMBO BRAKES AND ROTORS, LESS THAN A WEEK OLD

Cons:
One of the extended studs needs to be put back in the hub
2 very minor dents (you probably cant even notice in the pics)
Left parking light needs a new bulb
Doesn't have Tire Pressure Monitor Sensors
Part of the cup holder is broken but is still fully functional

By no means am I trying to downplay the car. It is amazing as is for what it is. I am just OCD about the car and want every single thing to be perfect on it. I would fix it all up myself but don't have the money and I know I wouldn't be able to let go of the car if there was no flaws, I guess I'm emotionally attached lol. This car is in great condition. Only unusual problem I had since Ive had the car is the motor mounts broke but I replaced them a while ago so good to go. I know this posting is long but I just want to be thorough about the cars history and because I am passionate about this and want to be honest with the buyer.

Kelly Blue Book private party value is $15500-16000. I have put over $50000 in the car throughout the years (including purchase price) and only want $15000 firm.

Ford tumbles to second worst in Consumer Reports reliability survey, list dominated by Japanese [w/video]

Mon, 29 Oct 2012

It's no secret that MyFord Touch has had its share of problems since being introduced, but the most recent reliability survey from Consumer Reports shows just how much this infotainment system has affected Ford. Just two years ago, the automaker was in the top 10 for the institute's reliability rankings, but since then, it has tumbled to the second-lowest rung just above dead-last Jaguar. In addition to MyFord Touch, CR also attributes a handful of new products that have had issues right out of the gate.
Compiled from 1.2 million subscriber surveys, this year's auto reliability survey heavily favors Japanese automakers, with eight of the 10 spots hailing from Japan. Toyota brands grabbed the top three spots (Scion, Toyota and Lexus - in that order) with Mazda, Subaru, Honda and Acura filling the next four spots. The only non-Asian automaker cracking the top 10 was Audi at number eight.
Audi climbed a total of 18 spots from last year, and Cadillac and GMC round out this year's top gainers breaking into the top 15. Helping Cadillac's upward movement, the CTS Coupe was named the most reliable domestic car. Lincoln, Volvo and Chrysler join Ford on this year's biggest loser list.

2014 Acura MDX [w/video]

Refinement Rather Than Revolution
Before we get into the meat and potatoes of the 2014 Acura MDX, let's pause for just a moment and talk about the current, still-sitting-at-dealerships 2013 model. It's a pretty good machine. Perhaps guilty only of falling to the backburners of our minds in recent years because, well, the old girl's not gotten any younger. But every time we drove this second-generation MDX, our thoughts were the same - good to drive, pleasant to sit in and a pretty decent value.
Acura's customers felt the same way, and so when it came time to design and engineer the third-generation MDX, the vehicle's formula wasn't shaken up at all. Despite the fact that it uses a brand-new platform and offers a host of upgrades, the key points addressed by the company's engineers were the specific requests of customers and shoppers in the segment - changes that amounted to nothing radical. After all, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

New Honda ad has Senna, Type R, Asimo, and astronauts

Mon, Aug 17 2015

Now that Honda is back into the guts-and-performance game, automotively speaking, the Japanese company has hit the throttle on hardcore imagery. Its latest is in an ad for the company itself highlighting a small selection of its ample range of products, from motorcycles to an airplane and the coming Acura NSX, branded Honda in other markets. Called "Ignition," Wieden+Kennedy created the 90-second spot for Honda Motor Europe, with the tagline "Dare to do what others only dream of." The theme is a space launch, to give that "feeling of daring and human endeavor," perfectly supported by the print artwork with Asimo the robot up front and fabulously complicated hybrid V6 power units spewing flames from the Formula 1 cars in back. Then there's the family in the HR-V in the middle, defying gravity and sipping from juice boxes, because space is for everyone. Ayrton Senna makes a cameo again, and a Stanley Kubrick aesthetic hangs all over the production. You can check out the ad in the video above.
