2000 Acura Tl Base Sedan 4-door 3.2l 145k Miles on 2040-cars

Year:2000 Mileage:145000
Location:

Allen, Texas, United States

Allen, Texas, United States

For sale is my 2000 Acura TL with 145,000 miles, it has driven perfectly for four years straight for me. Until the transmission blew. It is for sale as is, it is drivable for about ten minutes before it starts slipping gears. I advise you tow it. I have done quite a bit of work on it over the years, listed below are the pros and cons of this vehicle. More pictures on request.

Pros:
-New o2 sensor
-New Crankshaft position sensor
-Replaced all belts at 110k miles
-AEM Cold Air Intake
-AEM Cone Air Filter
-Thermoblock Intake Manifold and Throttle Body Spacers
-DC Sport Headers and J-pipe
-Excelerate Performance high flow catalytic converter (only 30k miles on it)
-Unorthodox Lightened Underdrive Pulleys (Drive, accessory and PS)
-EBC slotted brake rotors Front and Rear
-EBC redstuff brake pads
-Goodridge stainless steel braided brake lines
-1995 Acura Legend front brake calipers (dual piston instead of the TLs single piston)
-Moog endlinks front and rear
-Eibach Swaybars (23mm front 27mm rear)
-B&M front mount transmission cooler (currently disconnected)
-Beefy (hurricane brand I think, from autozone) battery terminal connectors. Old ones got loose.
-AUX plug fitted to the rear of the factory radio and comes out under the radio by the OBD2 port. You can use a longer cable so it's not wrapped around the gear select as I have it.
-Before this car I had a Honda and I also own another TL, so I'd prefer to sell to a Honda or Acura lover.

Cons:
-Spark plugs replaced with NGKs at 95k miles, probably could be done again soon.
-Small tear in drivers seat where my pocket knife clip somehow caught it.
-Quite a few door dings.
-Clear coat starting to peel on front passenger bumper and a little on the rear bumper, not too bad yet.
-Needs a transmission. Options: Rebuild current one, replace with new OEM transmission, find a junked 2nd gen TL/CL and get the trans, do a 6speed and J32A2 swap, or find a transmission from an 06-07 Honda accord v6 auto (I'd choose this one, this Honda trans wont fail) and do a swap a few bits from the original trans for a solid car.

10 best new car deals of November 2021

Thu, Nov 4 2021

Sales of new cars, trucks and SUVs were drastically affected in 2020 due to the (still) ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The market started to show signs of recovery toward the end of last year before really coming on strong in the early months of 2021. Of course, then pandemic-related parts and worker shortages along with global shipping constraints started running amok and causing a great deal of pricing fluctuation and a limited supply of certain vehicles. Those problems (among other things) have led to record-high new-car transaction prices in the United States. The good news is that there are still plenty of great deals on new cars. Using data provided by TrueCar, we’ve compiled a list of some of the best automotive deals for November 2021. WeÂ’ve noted the original MSRP, the average transaction price, and the total savings in both dollars and as a percentage of the original sticker price. Basically, weÂ’ve done all the hard work for you! So now, all you need to do is compare deals, go on a few test drives, and maybe drive away in a great car (and an even better bargain).

2014 Acura MDX goes for a camouflaged cruise

Tue, 16 Oct 2012

While the often misunderstood (and infrequently purchased) Acura ZDX may be going the way of the dinosaur, the company's far more conventional and successful MDX SUV is evolving. In fact, the 2014 MDX seems to be coming along rather nicely, if this latest set of spy images is any indication.
In the camouflaged prototype we see here, it is evident that Acura designers are going for a beefier look for the MDX front end. The current car's pointed and beaked nose are nowhere in evidence on this tester, though some version of Acura's prominent shield grille does seem to remain.
It's a bit difficult to tell if the shape of the glasshouse is much revised on this new car, as the camo is applied in such a fashion as to obscure the post C-pillar design. But it does seem as though, when we look hard at the full-profile shots of the MDX, that the wheel-arch bulges and side character lines of the current vehicle have been replaced with much simpler surfacing.

Honda, Acura recall Ridgeline, Accord, MDX, TLX for various fuel pump issues

Fri, Feb 15 2019

Honda and Acura have issued two separate fuel pump-related recalls for Ridgeline pickups, as well as Accord and TLX sedans, and MDX SUVs. Affected Ridgelines could have an increased risk of fire, while the Accord, TLX, and MDX could potentially stall out while driving. According to NHTSA campaign No. 19V053000, Honda is recalling 106,683 2017-2019 Ridgelines because the fuel pump feed port could crack when exposed to certain acids, including car wash soaps. If it cracks, it could leak pressurized fuel, which could catch fire. Vehicles with this defect are subject to a free fuel pump replacement, as well as an extra fuel pump cover. The second recall, campaign No. 19V060000, affects 437,032 2016-2018 MDX, 2015-2019 TLX, and 2015-2017 Accord models equipped with 3.5-liter V6 engines. According to Honda, fuel particulates could stick to internal components of the fuel pump. This could potentially slow down the fuel pump and hinder performance, which could cause the engine to sputter and stall. Honda dealers will update the fuel injection engine control unit software and/or replace the fuel pump, if needed. If you want to know if your vehicle is included in one of these recalls, contact your Honda or Acura dealer, call the NHTSA hotline at 1-888-327-4236, or visit safecar.gov. Related Video:
