2006 Black Acura Rsx Base Auto 89k W/ Mods on 2040-cars
Ellicott City, Maryland, United States
This is a well loved car with ~89,000 miles and in mechanically excellent condition. The oil has been changed every 5000 miles and it has been regularly serviced. The interior is black leather and has been maintained in good condition. The exhaust modifications gives this car a rich, deep note. It is a reliable, fun, and beautiful car. The only option offered from the factory for base model RSXs was leather seating. This car has black leather seats in flawless condition. This RSX is equipped with a LoJack Stolen Vehicle Recovery System (~$695). If the car is ever stolen, LoJack allows the police to track the car and recover it. They claim a 90% recovery rate. The following modifications have been installed on the car: AEM V2 Intake $250 Buddy Club Pro Spec catback exhaust $400 Debadged 'RSX' and 'Acura' on the rear of the car Enkei 17x9 +35 RPF1 wheels with 215/45/17 tires with 20% tread left $1,000 8000k HID lowbeams $50 Kenwood aftermarket radio $80 Progress coilovers $1200 Progress 24mm rear sway bar $220 Progress 27mm front sway bar $150 Rear spoiler delete SPC front and rear camber kits $180 Tail light rewire All of these modifications are currently installed on the car. I also have all of the stock parts (exhaust, intake, wheels, springs/shocks, etc.) and I am happy to give them to you without additional charge, if you like. At the moment I don't have a spoiler on the car, however I do have two spoilers that I will include - the OEM base spoiler in addition to the A-spec wing. There is no negative reason that I'm getting rid of the car, simply that I am interested in getting a different car. I've put more than 4 grand in modifications to this car - and comparing my price to a 'good' kbb value of ~$9300, this is a steal. This RSX is a beautiful, fun, and reliable car. I will continue to drive it daily, so the mileage will slowly increase. Thank you for looking and happy driving. Also, I constantly drive back and forth from College Park, MD to Ellicott City, MD. Please email me if you would like to see the car in person and we can arrange something. |

eBay Find of the Day: S.H.I.E.L.D. Acura TL from The Avengers
Thu, 23 Jan 2014If you're a fan of The Avengers from 2012, then here's your chance at owning a piece of movie memorabilia. Following last year's auction of a Acura MDX from that movie, Scottsdale Motor Company is now listing another S.H.I.E.L.D. vehicle on eBay Motors - this time a 2012 Acura TL.
Unlike the MDX, this TL has fewer modifications limited to the custom front push bumper, matte-black paint job and the various LED emergency lights in the back window and in the front bumper, while the inside appears untouched with the exception of small auxiliary switches. The current auction price of this car $32,900 - compared to the $41,535 MSRP of a new TL with Advance Package back in 2012 - but this is a steal compared to the movie-prop Monroney that comes with the car listing the "palladium-powered" sedan at $227,085. The seller says that this car was only one of five built for the movie, and it only has 1,111 miles on the odometer.
After the S.H.I.E.L.D. MDX and TL, we can only hope that Scottsdale Motor Company will offer Tony Stark's Acura NSX Roadster as its next movie car auction.
Acura spotlights NSX pace car at Pikes Peak
Tue, Jul 14 2015You can't just have any old street car setting the pace at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, can you? Of course not. For that task, you'd need a supercar with exceptionally high performance capabilities. Something like the new Acura NSX, for example. Fortunately that's just what the organizers of the annual Race to the Clouds selected to serve as official pace car this year. Honda's new hybrid supercar, set to be built in Ohio, donned a unique livery, a senior PR rep behind the wheel, and a smattering of GoPro cameras to speed up the 14,110-foot mountain. Naturally the twin-turbo V6 engine, nine-speed, dual-clutch transmission, and three-motor Sport Hybrid Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) system formed an integral part of the package as well, even if its output hasn't been officially released more specifically than the "over 550 horsepower" we've been told to expect. The Japanese automaker also placed another couple dozen cameras along the 12.4-mile route and its 156 turns. Which is a good thing, considering that most of us weren't there in Colorado to see it make its run up the mountain, and nobody was there at each corner as it passed – except, of course, for the driver, Sage Marie. The rest of us will want to check out the minute-long clip Acura has released to see the NSX gun for the sky.
Performance cars overpower the Detroit Auto Show
Tue, Jan 13 2015At precisely the stroke of noon on Monday, the 2016 Acura NSX rolled on stage at the Detroit Auto Show amid plumes of smoke and dancing lights. The sounds of the powerful engine revving soared to the rafters. It was the second coming of Acura's iconic sports car, and the reveal had all of the expected trappings. Afterwards, champagne corks popped and the bubbly flowed. It was noon in Detroit, but for the green-car movement, it seemed like the clock had struck midnight. That's an exaggeration, but performance was the overwhelming theme of North America's most important show. Ford – which has helped lead the way in smaller displacement engines and early adoption of hybrid powertrains – had more than 1,500 horsepower on stage one point after it revealed the GT concept, the new F-150 Raptor and the Shelby Mustang GT350R. The NSX is technically a hybrid (it has three electric motors), but with 550-plus hp, there's no doubt this Acura was bred on the track. The theme continued throughout the show at nearly every stand. Alfa Romeo showed off the 4C Spider, which is the open-air version of a car that purports to be the spiritual successor of the high-performance 33 Stradale from 1967. On Tuesday, Cadillac is scheduled to reveal the 640-hp CTS-V with the V8 transplanted from the Corvette Z06, and the Lexus was expected to roll out its own V8-powered beast, the 467-hp GS F. For enthusiasts – especially enthusiasts with money – these are halcyon days. But make no mistake, all of this power has a purpose. Ford product chief Raj Nair said the Blue Oval uses high performance cars to develop technologies, like aerodynamics and materials, which are then shared across its lineup. "It's another proof point about how serious we are in developing innovation through performance," he said. Ford, which is rolling out at least 12 performance cars by 2020, said the sporty cars attract younger and more influential buyers to its fold, which can help burnish its image beyond adding sales volume. Toyota is taking a similar approach, senior vice president Bob Carter said, noting the Lexus RC coupe draws people into showrooms and gets them excited about the brand, even if they don't end up buying one. "They provide an aspiration and a halo that provides the attention that gets you noticed in a cluttered market," he said.
