No Reserve! Black & Ivory (tan), Low Miles, Manual, Beautiful Shape on 2040-cars
Clermont, Florida, United States
Now available for sale is my 1991 Acura NSX with just under 78,000 miles. This is a beautiful car, in overall excellent condition. It has always been garage kept and covered. The body is nearly perfect, with possibly only a few almost nonexistent stone chips on the lower front bumper (which are so small I was not able to shoot a photo of them to post). I always keep it washed and waxed so the bugs never got the chance to mess up the paint on the front bumper. If you zoom in on the photos you can see the paint still has a mirror finish, so shiny that you can see the reflection of the sky and pavement in it, as if it were glass. Interior is excellent, no rips or tears and the carpet is still a very nice ivory/tan. Usually the driver's side floor is kept covered with plastic to maintain the interior. I have owned the car since 2008, and most of the time it was either being washed and waxed or stored. I put new tires on it a few years ago, and have driven less than 1,500 miles on them since. I invite you to look closely at the photos, I even included photos of the underbody. This vehicle is not like many I have seen here on ebay, many of them having rust on the license plate holder, bolts, and undercarriage; my NSX is very clean from always being stored indoors and well cared for. If anyone would like to see additional pictures just let me know. The water pump and timing belt were replaced by Ferman Acura in 2006, and the car has had less than 10,000 miles put on it since then. I have a print-out of the regular maintenance report from the dealer that performed all the service on the car since 1997. Other than the pending maintenance issues mentioned above, the car performs great. No signs of slippage on the clutch and it drives like a dream. I've decided to sell it finally as I have been living overseas and barely get the time to drive it. I know it will make a wonderful car for its next owner. Also a note for everyone bidding, it has been a long time since I've used ebay so my feedback score no longer has a rating, but if you click on my user name you can check out my transaction history and see that I have 100% positive feedback since 2001. I am a straight forward ebayer and am happy to answer any questions you have. Please feel free to contact me directly if there's anything else you want to know or something I forgot to mention in the listing. (two60)460-04six9 Eric The successful bidder will be required to make a deposit of $1,500 within 48 hours of the auction conclusion. Vehicle and title will be transferred once payment has been received and cleared in full. Vehicle is also for sale locally. |

Rumors abound over Honda's mid-engined 'Small NSX'
Wed, Jul 29 2015The "baby NSX" lately in the news has been in Honda's idea cloud since before the 2008 global financial rift. The company called it the "Small NSX" and reports said it "will really be a scaled-back version" of Acura's exotic, including the mid-engine layout and a variation of the hybrid SH-AWD. It even had a price: $50,000 to $60,000. So more than seven years on, when a series of patent images materialize for what looks like an NSX-inspired Honda sports car, it doesn't prove anything, but it fits. Motoring reports that the Small NSX will sit at the top of a lineup of three mid-engined sports cars intended for the Honda brand - but note that Motoring is based in Australia, where our Acura NSX is sold as a Honda. This Small NSX would be a "radical replacement" for the Honda S2000 that ended production in 2009. Beneath it will be a global version of the S660 roadster that could come here as an S1000 with 125 horsepower. The Civic Type R and a much sportier, reimagined CR-Z will put some long forgotten handling chops at other price points in the model mix. Motoring's sources say the Small NSX design work is, "for all intents and purposes, completed." The consistent rumor regarding engine is the 306-hp 2.0-liter turbo VTEC used in the Civic Type R. One electric motor will be in back to help move the rear wheels, two electric motors will hang on the front axle. Overall power output is put at around 400 hp, with 330 hp of that coming from the ICE, working through a nine-speed dual-clutch transmission. An aluminum frame with aluminum and carbon fiber parts will discourage heft, the final product at aiming at a weight under 3,100 pounds. Its price should be competitive with its intended target, the Porsche Cayman. The 2018 Detroit Auto Show is where we might see it, before it goes into production later that year at Honda's Performance Manufacturing Center in Marysville, OH. Acura rejoins with Seinfeld, sponsors Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee [w/videos]
Wed, 05 Jun 2013We enjoyed the opening season of Seinfeld's offbeat Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee web series, a video serial where Jerry Seinfeld picked up his friends in some of his classic cars and... chatted. It was a simple premise that offered some genuinely enjoyable moments, even if the 'cars' connection was often a bit incidental. In any case, Acura must have felt the same way, as it has just inked a deal to be the sole sponsor for the series' next season.
Acura, you may recall, already enjoys a relationship with the comedian - Seinfeld starred in the company's 2012 Super Bowl ad alongside the NSX supercar concept. So perhaps it's no surprise that it has signed on to sponsor 24 episodes of the series, due to roll out this year and next. Naturally, with any title sponsorship these days, you can expect to see some integration of the sponsor - in this case, Acura says such measures will involve its new 2014 MDX crossover, integrating "short, contextually relevant ads at the beginning and end of the episode."
Will you watch? For a refresher on Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee, check out a couple of our favorite first season episodes with Michael Richards and Alec Baldwin by scrolling below.
Daily Driver: 2015 Acura TLX
Sat, Jul 4 2015Daily Driver videos are micro-reviews of vehicles in the Autoblog press fleet, reviewed by the staffers who drive them every day. Today's Daily Driver features the 2015 Acura TLX, reviewed by Seyth Miersma. You can watch the video above or read a transcript below. Watch more Autoblog videos at /videos. Show full video transcript text Hey all, this is Seyth with Autoblog and I'm here in the 2015 Acura TLX. Right off the bat I can tell that the TLX doesn't feel anything like as sporting a sedan as the TL it replaced, at least not in the versions that I last drove, which admittedly were TL's with V6 power and the SH all wheel drive. This TLX has got a 2.4-liter, four-cylinder engine, it's making 206 horsepower, and 182 pound-feet of torque, and it is connected up to a eight-speed, dual-clutch transmission. As you can tell by the power output this isn't an impressively fast car. It weighs about 3,500 pounds so it's lugging around some weight. At the same time the eight-speed transmission is really responsive especially as you go through the selectable gear programs, you can make the throttle response pretty good. It is a throttle by wire as well and I haven't noticed any weirdness there, it feels very linear, and like I said, when I turned the system into the sport plus mode the gas pedal becomes really responsive. The exhaust note is muted, you really have to get up over 5,000 rpm before you start feeling like the engine is really pushing you. One of the things that struck me first about this Acura when I got in it was how quiet it was at speed. I feel like in the luxury segment, Acuras have historically done a little bit better for being sportier versions of cars in their segment and not necessarily more refined, but that seems to have been changing a lot on the last few generations of Acura. What it lacks in athletic ability it makes up for in composure. I'm on a pretty good right now, there are plenty of bad ones around where I live so this suspension soaks up a lot of the impacts and it dampens the sound of them as well too. Acura is clearly going after a much more mainstream customer these days and I think a car like this could be very attractive, more attractive than ever for a shopper of something like a Lexus ES. One feature I did play around with was Acura's active lane keep assist which works actually by moving the steering wheel to a degree to keep you centered in your lane if your hands are off the wheel.
