2001 Acura Nsx T Coupe 2-door 3.2l on 2040-cars
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States
This 2001 NSX-T has TSW 18" on front and 19" rear with Yokohama S Drives, 6 speed manual trans with just under 35K original miles.Seibon carbon fiber NSX-R rear spoiler with led light, CT Engineering exhaust and headers, Science of Speed side skirts and front lip both color matched and professionally installed, a Razo shift knob, Comptech short shifter, fully adjustable Tein monoflex coil overs with the electronic control unit(unit new in box but not installed), K&N air filter, alarm, tint, targa top, serviced at local Acura dealer, no leaks, clean Car Fax. I have owned the car for about 18 months and have put on only about 7K miles since purchased. As son as I purchased it I sent it to the local Acura dealer and had all the seals replaced, along with the timing belt etc. and the cost was 5K. The car was 100% stock when I got it so all of the aftermarket parts are fairly new. The car is reliable and the interior and exterior are both 9/10. The transmission shifts smoothly. The car drives straight and does not pull to either side. The only thing not working is the factory cassette, although the radio works fine. I have had many looks and questions from people checking this car out. They cant believe how good the condition is. I did have a car back into me in the valet and it was fixed professionally. It was very minor and the cost was $600 and only because they had to take the bumper off to repaint it. Its not on the auto check or carfax but just want to be honest here. This car has never been tracked or raced or abused in any way and is always garaged. The oil changes and repairs to the insurance are cheap, and if you compare them to any exotic this car is a bargain. I purchased this nsx as a weekend car, and I have had fun but am now looking to buy another. Car gets shipped when payment clears . I'm only listing once and if the car doesn't sell I will just keep it so no BS please. |

Acura preps ILX for endurance racing challenge
Thu, 01 Nov 2012Acura has used the occasion of this year's SEMA show to unveil a 2013 ILX that is remarkably different from the road-going car that we are familiar with. A far distance from the rather mildly performing street car, this ILX Endurance Racer is actually prepped to race at the grueling 25 Hours of Thunderhill in Willows, California.
The ILX racers (Team Honda Research has prepped two of them for the race) have actually each been constructed using two donor ILX sedans: one body-in-white chassis and one full production-spec car that donates powertrain, interior and electronic components. Overall, increasing the performance of the car was done mostly through extensive weight reduction rather than bumps in power. No figures have been given for the output of the ILX's K24Z7 engine, though we are told that a custom intake and exhaust have been fitted, as well as a racing flywheel.
A prominent LED lighting system dominates the front fascia of the ILX, along with a huge front splitter, while a massive wing speaks to the intentions of the car.
Acura teases production MDX ahead of next week's unveiling
Tue, Dec 1 2020Acura will unveil the 2022 MDX in production form next Tuesday, Dec. 8, promising it will be "the most premium, performance-focused and technologically advanced SUV in Acura history." Acura will host the debut on its web site at 11:30 a.m. EST. If you thought we already saw the 2022 Acura MDX, it's because we did. Acura showed the TLX-inspired design back in October with a "prototype." Like parent company Honda, Acura tends to show "prototypes" that are dead-ringers for their production variants, and this appears to be no different. The below left is Acura's teaser image with the levels brought up to reveal more detail; the below right is an image of the "prototype" shown in October. From what we can see here, they're virtually identical, and nothing we've seen in spy photos suggests that we're in for any surprises when the real thing bows next week. The 2022 MDX rides on a new light truck platform that Acura says will provide more athletic handling, greater ride comfort and a quieter cabin versus the outgoing car. Like the new TLX, it will incorporate a double-wishbone front suspension, which should also improve ride and handling. Acura says it will offer a Type S version of the MDX is with the same turbocharged V6 that will power the new TLX Type S. That variant will make 355 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque (same as the TLX), while the standard engine will continue to be Acura’s 290-horsepower 3.5-liter V6. Both engines will be mated to AcuraÂ’s 10-speed automatic transmission and send power to all four wheels using the latest fourth-generation SH-AWD system. Not all of the performance details are available yet, but Acura says the MDX can be had with four-piston Brembo brake calipers (likely another Type S feature) and comes with a drive mode selector that allows you to adjust ride, handling, steering, suspension and powertrain characteristics. Based on the prototype, the interior matches the exterior for flair and elegance. We like the open-pore wood thatÂ’s been infused with metallic flake, French stitching, contrast piping and quilted leather in all three rows. Acura says that all three rows get more legroom this year, and first and third rows get more headroom. A new panoramic moonroof should make the cabin even airier for rear occupants. Related Video:
2014 Acura MDX [w/video]
Fri, 31 May 2013Refinement Rather Than Revolution
Before we get into the meat and potatoes of the 2014 Acura MDX, let's pause for just a moment and talk about the current, still-sitting-at-dealerships 2013 model. It's a pretty good machine. Perhaps guilty only of falling to the backburners of our minds in recent years because, well, the old girl's not gotten any younger. But every time we drove this second-generation MDX, our thoughts were the same - good to drive, pleasant to sit in and a pretty decent value.
Acura's customers felt the same way, and so when it came time to design and engineer the third-generation MDX, the vehicle's formula wasn't shaken up at all. Despite the fact that it uses a brand-new platform and offers a host of upgrades, the key points addressed by the company's engineers were the specific requests of customers and shoppers in the segment - changes that amounted to nothing radical. After all, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
