1995 Acura Nsx-t Comptech Supercharged, Black On Black, Advan Wheels, Super Fast on 2040-cars
Tulsa, Oklahoma, United States
Up for sale is the NSX-T that everyone seems to be looking for but can never find....well here it is!
***I have three (3) separate inspections done on the car. One from Santa Monica Acura before I purchased it and made necessary repairs and two done just this week from Acura of Tulsa and Four Star Imports. This rare NSX-T priced to sell fast. You will not find a comparable NSX with these mods, in this condition, for a better price. 1995 Acura NSX-T, black on black, No issues, near flawless condition. Never wrecked. Never been painted. Clean title. Clean Carfax. The car was maintained and modified by the well regarded shop "Foreign Affair" in Santa Clara, Ca before I purchased it. Before I purchased the car, I had it examined down to ever little detail by Robert Garcia that works for Santa Monica Acura. He is one of the most knowledgeable mechanics in the NSX field. So much so, he actually owns a NSX. Attached is his report/checklist. He made a few recommendations. The car had a minor valve cover gasket leak. Clutch master cylinder leaking. So, I had Santa Monica Acura fix everything that was recommended and then some. (See parts list below). They replaced the timing belt, the slave cylinder, master cylinder, oil pan gasket, head gasket, cylinder head gasket and all 22 coolant lines, not because they were leaking, just because they were original. It took care of EVERYTHING. You will see in his notes: "Engine oil condition "requires" oil change" (Acura of Tulsa changed the oil and filter (Mobile 1) when the car was delivered). "Dash defrost bezel "cracked" on center area" (the crack is perfectly centered on a thin strip of the area between the windshield and dash. It is no more than 1" long and looks factory, as it is perfectly straight and centered. I would have never guessed it was a crack, simply looks like two separate pieces. See photo. "Distortion sound when radio is on". (This is a know problem with the NSX factory amp. Although it will show up, it is very rare. I have a very hard time reproducing this sound). "No spare tire upon inspection" (I have the spare tire, previous owner kept it out of car for weight savings). "Targa cover missing" (I have the targa cover, I have never installed it, as the engine looks just too good thru the glass). Once the vehicle arrived to Tulsa I had the Acura dealership do an oil change, filter and alignment. I had it professionally speed waxed/polished which removed any minor surface scratches/swirls you typically see in black paint. The vehicle includes the following tasteful upgrades which total over $25,000 not including the labor: - Comptech Supercharger: OEM reliability, 60-70 Horsepower gain at the wheels, CARB Legal - Comptech Powergrip Clutch - Comptech Stainless Steel Headers: Mandrel Bent T-304 Stainless Steel Tubing, 18 hp gain at the wheels, 50 State CARB Legal - TAITEC GT Lightweight Exhaust: Stainless Steel, 16.1 lbs, 52mm Piping, 90mm tips - AP Racing BBK + pads - Comptech swaybar upgrade: 3 way adjustable front/rear, 300% Stiffer than stock - Science of Speed 5 Speed Short Gear Kit - NSX-R R&P Gearset - Bilstein shocks - so you have a coil over look but retain the factory comfortable ride - Very Rare Advan Model 5 wheels, like new condition, brand new silver powder coat, 17x8 front, 18x10 rear - Front 215-40-17, Rear 265-35-18 Dunlop Durenza Sport Z1 tires with 90% tread - West Wings front spoiler professionally painted. - B-Line Air intake (I have all factory intake components if you ever want to switch back) - 3M tint - HID headlights The leather interior is near flawless. Shows very little wear. Most NSX have major cracks and or discolored areas on driver bolster. This one shows very little use. One very small wear line. Door panels and carpet are in near perfect shape. BONUS: Car also includes un-cut "titanium" key, car-cover and original spare tire. Reason for selling....well, it was a bit of an impulse buy, always loved the look of the NSX and wanted to find one of the fastest ones around. Never drove one before the day it arrived on my doorstep. I'm a big dude, and its a little bit lower than what I'm comfortable with. Plus I only own my cars from 2-6 months and move onto something else. The car needs nothing. It is near perfection. It has all of the mods that everyone wants. It is sick, fast and bad ass. Like I mentioned above. I did two pre-purchase inspections just this week. One from Acura of Tulsa, in which they went over the basics and found the car was in great shape, needs nothing. The other inspection done by Four Star Automotive in which they did a more detailed inspection. They even did compression test on the motor showing: #1 185, #2 190, #3 190, #4 190, #5 185 and #6 190 PSI. Very strong. Spark plugs burning clean and even. Very little blow-by, Good for forced induction engine. Engine vacuum good and steady at 14 INHG 028. I can't stress again, this car needs NOTHING. It is as near perfect as your going to get. Let me know if you need additional pics and or video. |

Precision Concept previews the future of Acura design [w/video]
Tue, Jan 12 2016When we drove the 2014 Acura RLX Sport Hybrid two years ago we celebrated its massive handling and carped on its milquetoast styling. We'd have done backflips if the internals of the brand's flagship sedan had been wrapped in the sheetmetal of the Acura Precision Concept. Don't get us wrong, we still have some questions about the front end of the car in these images, but we're all-in on the side view and, more importantly, we applaud Acura for making a bold design statement. Acura says the Precision concept "literally will shape the direction of all future Acura products," bringing a "bolder, more distinctive future for Acura vehicle design." Hallelujah. As if you couldn't tell, this is the product of the Acura Design Studio in California, where Acura NSX veteran Michelle Christensen led the exterior work and NSX veteran John Norman led the interior design. Up front is what's called a Diamond Pentagon grille, which looks fussy here but we won't make final judgments until we see it on the Detroit Auto Show floor later today. Come around to the side and the low-slung, rear-wheel-drive proportions on 22-inch wheels are the last thing we'd expect from a design study for an Acura sedan. It is about two inches shorter than the 2016 BMW 750i with a wheelbase that is 4.4 inches shorter, and sits six inches lower. Intensely sculpted surfaces flow from the exterior into the cabin, like the CHMSL that breaks the rear backlight to roll into the rear headrests. Interior elements thrust like geologic formations, popping with mixed materials, floating rear seats, a small steering wheel and floating gauge locked onto a tiered instrument panel. The wide, curved screen atop the center console experiments with a floating touchpad to control a concept human-machine interface. Acura says everything about the Precision concept is an expression of the company's "Precision Crafted Performance DNA." We have no idea how Acura plans to integrate this into its product line; put the Precision on a showroom floor right now and every other current Acura model save the NSX would squeal away and hide. But we welcome the attempt. We can't wait to see what happens. Acura Precision Concept Points to Bold Future for Acura Design DETROIT, January 12, 2016 – The Acura Precision Concept model made its world debut at the 2016 North American International Auto Show today, pointing toward a bolder, more distinctive future for Acura vehicle design.
Comparison test: 2019 Acura RDX vs. compact luxury SUV competitors
Fri, Jun 1 2018Truth be told, if we were to compare the all-new 2019 Acura RDX with those compact luxury crossover SUVs it would most likely be cross-shopped against, you'd be looking at a different list. Even Acura admits that Lexus and Infiniti are the most likely bogies, but with the 2019 RDX, Honda's luxury brand is attempting to attract those customers who think as much with their hearts as with their heads. And for the most part, those folks have been buying from German brands: the Audi Q5, BMW X3 and Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class. So, to show how the new RDX compares to them, Acura actually provided examples of each during the recent press drive along with a Volvo XC60. All were determined to have greater emotional appeal than the last RDX, and we would certainly agree. For, as much as the previous-generation RDX made sense on paper, it was really hard to get excited about it. And when you're paying extra for a luxury vehicle, shouldn't you get a little excited? Well, as luck would have it, Consumer Editor Jeremy Korzeniewski and I were on hand in Whistler, British Columbia, for the press launch. We didn't have an abundance of time in each RDX competitor, but in conjunction with our usual comparison chart, our impressions should provide a good first taste of how the new RDX compares. Performance and fuel economy Contributing Editor James Riswick: On paper at least, the RDX is gutsier than its comparably powered European rivals. It also weighs the same or less, which logically should mean it'll be the quickest in a straight line. During my brief drives, though, I'm not sure it really stood taller than the three Germans. It at least matches them for smoothness, which is something that can't be said about the Volvo. Fuel economy is lower than them all when you consider all but the Mercedes come standard with all-wheel drive. It's also worth noting that all the competitors are available with engine upgrades, and unless Acura's forthcoming resurrection of Type S models includes the RDX, it should stay that way. Consumer Editor Jeremy Korzeniewski: Line 'em all up in a drag race, and I have a feeling the Acura would squirt away to victory. A good bit of that, though, would be due to its 10-speed automatic transmission, which offers a huge spread of ratios and fires off extremely quick shifts. In the real world, I'd guess fuel economy will be similar across the board, so I'm willing to call that category a draw.
Acura NSX production car headed for Detroit debut?
Tue, 23 Oct 2012Auto Express is reporting that Honda is set to unveil the production version of its upcoming Acura NSX at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. The news comes courtesy of an unnamed "top exec" for Honda Brazil speaking at the Sao Paulo Motor Show. The concept version of the Japanese supercar is currently on display there. Interestingly enough, the same unnamed source claims the production iteration will remain aesthetically identical to the show car. You won't hear any qualms from us on that front.
Of course, the timing of the production debut is a little confusing. For starters, when Acura unveiled the concept last year, the company told the world it would be at least three years before production began. That would give the street-worthy model a 2014 or 2015 designation, the latter being cited more often in media accounts. Thus, we'll keep an eye out for the hybrid supercar in Motown, but we're going to stop short of holding our breath... it might be a while.
