This 2007 Acura MDX is offered for auction by the original owners. We purchased it new in August 2007 from Crown Acura in Richmond, Virginia. It has been garage kept and the paint and leather are in excellent condition. It is the Sport Package, and has the Sport rims (without a scratch), roof rail, and many additional options. It does not have navigation or back up camera. The timing belt and water pump were changed at 105K miles, and all other regular maintenance has been completed as it was due. The tires are low roll resistance Continentals, with only 5K miles on them. This has been a fantastic car, and the third row seating was a plus when our kids were small and needing toting everywhere. Now they are in college and we are down-sizing! You can't go wrong with this incredibly safe and comfortable vehicle. We are advertising the car locally and well, and reserve the right to end this auction at any time we have a serious buyer. Honda discontinuing Euro Accord, no replacement in sight
Wed, 22 Oct 2014Honda has built two Accords for many years. There's the one we're familiar with here in the United States, and then there's the Accord sold in markets like Europe and Australia, known here in the US as the Acura TSX. But just like Acura did with the TSX, the Euro-market Accord has been discontinued.
The news comes from The Motor Report in Australia, which is reporting that the Accord Euro will be discontinued in 2015. Sold Down Under alongside the US-market model, the discontinuation of the Aussie car indicates an end to Honda's midsize sedan efforts in Europe, where there is no obvious replacement for the four-door and wagon models.
According to TMR, Honda Australia Director Stephen Collins indicated that focus will be placed instead on the US market "wide-body" model, as it's known. That said, this decision doesn't sound like it's sitting too well in Oz.
MotorWeek remembers the 1993 Acura Legend coupe
Fri, Sep 25 2015When discussing classic Acura models, the Legend, particularly as a two-door, doesn't get brought up nearly as often as the Integra or NSX. Perhaps that's because those sporty models were brash for their time, whereas this bigger car came off as a more conservative ride. For a MotorWeek Retro Review, John Davis and crew have looked back at a 1993 Legend coupe to give us a chance to remember Acura's luxury GT. In 1993, the newly revised 3.2-liter V6 managed 230 horsepower, and this one had power routed through a six-speed manual. It also came packed with luxury features, including automatic climate control and traction control. However, the Legend turned out to be more of a comfy cruiser than an all-out sports coupe for the reviewers. MotorWeek wasn't happy with the performance through the slalom, and the shifter wasn't perfect, either. Still, this clip is a great refresher on a model that's often overlooked. Related Video:
Acura to roll out NSX Prototype for Mid-Ohio IndyCar race
Thu, 25 Jul 2013Acura will tease us yet again with its next-gen NSX when it makes an appearance at Mid-Ohio Raceway before the circuit's IndyCar race early next month. To be fair, the car's in-motion debut won't take the form of a production model - that's still a ways off - the vehicle will be a prototype. It'll be sporting custom graphics and an eye-catching paint (wrap?) job to draw the attention of the spectators, but really, we just want to hear this thing rounding the legendary road course at full chat.
The NSX prototype doesn't look to be much different from the various showcars we've seen over the last couple of years, with the same mid-engined, hybrid V6 power and all-wheel drive all present and accounted for.
The display will take place before the Honda Indy 200 IndyCar Series on August 4. The race itself starts at 3:00 pm and will be shown on NBC Sports Network.
