1992 Acura Integra Gs-r on 2040-cars
Quinlan, Texas, United States
Hello
and thank you for viewing our auction. Here we have a 1992 GS-R, southern car
its whole life with no rust, original paint and interior. This vehicle is 22
years old so you can expect some issues (such as the aftermarket tint needs to
be removed). That being said this is and has been a very reliable vehicle and
has a good blend of power with fuel economy. The motor was freshened up at 140k
and runs well, no trans noises, and does not use oil. Everything works,
including cold A/C, the sunroof opens and closes normally, has an aftermarket
Sony player. There are some other aftermarket additions, like gauges, headers,
intake, adjustable suspension, apexi, HD clutch, stereo, and short shifter. We
added the HID one piece headlight assembly and have the original headlight
assembly to go with the car. Has CRX OEM wheels. I believe it does have the
original B17 motor and YS1 trans. I am not an expert on these GS-R’s but will
try to answer any questions. What I
know about this car is that it was originally purchased in Richmond, VA where
it spent its first few years. I understand the original owner did have the
drivers side rear quarter repainted from a minor accident. Then was sold to a
gentleman in GA who added most of the aftermarket stuff and had the motor
freshened up at 140k. We are the third owner using the vehicle only
occasionally. The front, rear bumpers and spoiler appear to have also been
repainted as they are sun faded and oxidized moreso than the rest of the
exterior. Fun car to drive, has a lot of power, vtec operates as it should, yet
I have gotten 35+ mpg on a trip. We have a clean
blue TX title with no liens. No warranty, expressed or implied, and no refunds,
returns. This is basically an original GS-R. $500.00 non refundable deposit
within 48 hours via paypal, balance by certified funds, or cash, no paypal on
balance. Buyer is responsible for pickup or transportation arrangements.
Vehicle can be picked up as soon as funding clears. Thank you. If you
have any questions, please ask them prior to placing your bid. If you are
local, or know someone who is, please consider coming to see the car in person.
Different things are important to different people, and while I have tried to
describe all important aspects of the vehicle, it's impossible to cover every
last detail. Listed with no reserve, car sells to the highest bidder. Please
do not bid if you do not intend to complete the purchase and we reserve the
right to cancel bids from bidders with low feedback rating. We also reserve the
right to cancel this listing as the car is for sale locally and we are not
interested in trades. Thank you. |

Snapshots from Acura NSX prototype run at Mid-Ohio
Mon, 05 Aug 2013Acura's achingly slow showing of the new, hybrid NSX saw yet another step yesterday, as we reported late last week. A powder-blue prototype ran ahead of the open-wheelers at the Honda Indy 200 at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. Why show the NSX Prototype at Mid-Ohio? Honda's Ohio research and development center, which has taken the lead on NSX development, is just 60 miles from the track. And as race sponsor, Honda must have figured it would give the spectators a glimpse of the new supercar it's been teasing for the better part of a decade.
With a planned launch in 2015 (special emphasis on the "planned" part, considering the NSX's history), the NSX Prototype shown here sports graphics that "speak to Acura's intention to go racing with the new NSX." That's great news for fans of endurance racing, although it remains to be seen when a motorsports program for the new NSX will get off the ground.
Take a look at the fresh gallery of images, and be sure to head over to our original Mid-Ohio post for the video footage of the NSX Prototype on track.
Acura NSX bodywork to be sheathed in zirconium e-coat, fewer paint layers
Tue, 05 Aug 2014Automakers make halo cars to drum up excitement and show off what they can do, but there's more to it than that. Advanced platforms allow a company's engineers to experiment with all sorts of technologies. And in the case of the upcoming new Acura NSX, that includes new paint processes.
Speaking with Autoline in this video interview, Honda's North American Senior VP Jon Minto talked about an innovative zirconium e-coat which it's applying to the new NSX. Unlike some experimental paints developed for Formula One, however, this coating is not designed to minimize drag or enhance cooling: it's designed to be more environmentally friendly.
It's one of a few measures which Honda is implementing on the NSX before expanding it to more accessible models, along with another process that uses fewer coats to reduce energy consumption by 40 percent. Watch the interview with Autoline host John McElroy right here.
Acura touts full-line Top Safety Pick+ achievement in new ad
Thu, Oct 15 2015When a vehicle scores a Top Safety Pick+ in Insurance Institute for Highway Safety testing or a five-star rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, it's a darn big deal. But when an automaker's entire lineup earns the TSP+ honor and gets top marks from NHTSA it's a, um, well, it's never happened before. So congratulations, Acura. The premium Japanese brand is the first automaker to score top marks on the latest IIHS testing while also earning five-star NHTSA ratings across its entire range of vehicle. This, of course, is not the first time it's earned such a distinction – in 2009, and well before TSP+ existed, Acura was the first automaker to boast a lineup filled with TSP and five-star vehicles. With this new, five-vehicle lineup of TSP+ and five stars, Acura certainly has something worth crowing about. That's why it's preparing a new marketing campaign to crow about super-safe ILX sedans and MDX crossovers. Expect to see it on your TV starting on October 18. If you simply can't wait to see what Acura's up to, though, we've got a 60-second spot that features some very disturbing crash-test "dummies." Take a look at the top of the page, and then scroll down for the official press release on Acura's lineup.Related Video: Acura Underscores Industry-leading Safety Performance with Emotional New Marketing Campaign • Acura is the first and only automotive brand to earn 5-star Overall Vehicle Score from the NHTSA and TOP SAFETY PICK+ rating from the IIHS across its model line • High impact and emotional national advertising campaign brings to life Acura's dedication to safety performance • The brand's first-of-its-kind campaign launches digitally on Oct. 15 and on national broadcast television on Oct. 18 TORRANCE, Calif.
