2003 ACURA 3.2 CL Type-S NAV 2 door coupe

I have owned this car for the past 6 years and top of being a fun and fast car to drive, it has also been very reliable.  The current mileage is 112,141 and the car is very clean and well maintained. I am the second owner of the car and purchased it in 2007 from a friend at 64,xxxx miles.  I have known this car since new, have the receipts to document the service history, and original paperwork.

  • It runs great with no known mechanical issues
  • The timing belt was replaced at 105,000 miles as well as the water pump as recommended by Acura. This was a $1,200 job and all Honda parts were used.
  • The tires have good tread and approximately 10,000 miles on them - Hancook Ventus V4ES
  • The body and paint are in good shape for a 10 year old car. There is a spot on the roof where the clear coat is faded (see pictures) and the rear bumper has some scratches on it.  There is also a small pea sized ding in the drivers door that doesn't show real well in the pictures.
  • The Leather interior is clean and free of any odors.  This has always been a non-smoker car.
  • PA inspection is valid through October 2014
Features:
  • 3.2 Liter VTEC 6 cylinder engine
  • 6 Speed Manual transmission
  • Power windows
  • Power door locks
  • Power + heated side mirrors
  • Power sliding sunroof
  • Tilt wheel

  • The fuel economy I get with for this car is 26 Highway/20 City MPG

Reliving the Acura NSX debut, 25 years later

Sat, 03 May 2014

The Acura NSX might be one of the most important Japanese cars ever created. The Land of the Rising Sun had already established that it could make very competent performance vehicles when the NSX debuted in 1989, but Honda's two-seater was the first one that looked to the world like a true contender against Ferrari and Porsche, thanks to its cutting-edge technology. The Acura had an all-aluminum monocoque chassis, a beautifully low-slung body and a quick-revving V6 with an 8,000-rpm redline. This quintessential Japanese sports coupe celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, and Autoweek recognizes it in a fantastic piece chronicling the model's US launch.
The story begins in February 1989 at the Chicago Motor Show where the car debuted. The day before the show opened, the concept still didn't have a name. The Japanese development team referred to it as New Sports, and the American Acura executives decided to add eXperimental to the end. The moniker NSX just stuck afterwards.
The article paints a fantastic portrait of the car and the company at the time. Honda had something to prove with the NSX. To succeed, the coupe had to be the best, and when the American press finally got a hold of it, they drowned it in accolades. Of course, Acura has a new American-built NSX on the way, and it has colossal legacy to live up to. This piece is definitely worth reading to understand why.

Honda and Acura render their future visions for Shanghai

Mon, 08 Apr 2013

With the Shanghai Motor Show coming up later this month, Honda has released a couple of teaser sketches for two concept vehicles that will be making global debuts. Aside from the renderings, there is no information about either the Honda or Acura concept vehicles, but we can tell that both are some sort of utility vehicle, be they of crossover or people-mover variety.
The text for both images indicates that both concepts show future products that will be launched in China, but there is no mention as to what other markets the automaker has planned for these vehicles. In addition to these two concepts, the NSX Concept and 2014 RLX from Acura will make their Chinese debuts, and Honda says it "will display models substantially identical to the mass-production version of the Concept C and Concept S." The Concept C is will be a "middle-class" sedan built for China, and the Concept S, an MPV that will primarily serve China as well.

Acura spotlights NSX pace car at Pikes Peak

Tue, Jul 14 2015

You can't just have any old street car setting the pace at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, can you? Of course not. For that task, you'd need a supercar with exceptionally high performance capabilities. Something like the new Acura NSX, for example. Fortunately that's just what the organizers of the annual Race to the Clouds selected to serve as official pace car this year. Honda's new hybrid supercar, set to be built in Ohio, donned a unique livery, a senior PR rep behind the wheel, and a smattering of GoPro cameras to speed up the 14,110-foot mountain. Naturally the twin-turbo V6 engine, nine-speed, dual-clutch transmission, and three-motor Sport Hybrid Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) system formed an integral part of the package as well, even if its output hasn't been officially released more specifically than the "over 550 horsepower" we've been told to expect. The Japanese automaker also placed another couple dozen cameras along the 12.4-mile route and its 156 turns. Which is a good thing, considering that most of us weren't there in Colorado to see it make its run up the mountain, and nobody was there at each corner as it passed – except, of course, for the driver, Sage Marie. The rest of us will want to check out the minute-long clip Acura has released to see the NSX gun for the sky.
