CONDITION: Car is in great condition for its age. Has its few door dings and what not but not one spec of rust anywhere on the car. The interior is complete and in great condition climate control isn't cracked and there are no tears in the seats or anything. Door panels are in nice conditions also with no tears from the seat belts rubbing. Paint is in good condition. Brand new tires were just installed with only 100 miles on them. Runs and drives great! Since my owner ship i have done the following to the car: Brand New Exedy OE replacement clutch, and the rest have been all OEM Honda Parts Spark Plugs, Wires, Fuel Filter, Valve Cover Gasket, Spark Plug Seals, Cam Seal.
FEATURES: Sunroof, Ac, Manual and i will also include the OEM Rear Louver that i have in storage and have not installed it yet. It will be included in the sale. History: Bought it last June in Los Angeles California and drove it all the way back to Sioux Falls South Dakota 30hr trip with not one issue. I bought it with 68,000 most of the miles i put on were from driving it back and then i took it on a few short trips to Omaha, NE and Minneapolis, MN. 2015 Fit Kit is the perfect DIY car from Honda
Mon, 31 Mar 2014Ah... let the April Fools' Day automotive jokes begin. Honda is kicking things off, following up on last year's Honda Hair joke with a prank video featuring the 2015 Honda Fit.
It's called the Fit Kit, and as you might guess, it's a way to build your own version of the redesigned hatchback. There are 180,000 mechanical parts in the kit - some delivered by drone - but that doesn't seem at all daunting to the pair of obnoxious, self-described tinkerers that star in the Fit Kit ad.
Honestly, the video is pretty entertaining, with some biting satire of the DIY movement and its attendant cadre of mustachioed hipsters. Scroll down and have a look at both the video and the Fit Kit press release from Honda.
Glickenhaus's SCG 003 to pack twin-turbo Honda V6?
Tue, 26 Aug 2014Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus has made (or commissioned) two vehicles to date - the P4/5 and the P4/5 Competizione - and is now hard at work on its third. The first was based on the Ferrari Enzo and the second on a Ferrari F430, but the third is being developed independently from the ground up. The question, then, is what engine will it use?
Well now we may have our answer as Jalopnik reports that the SCG 003 (as it's known at the moment) will be powered by a 3.5-liter V6 sourced from Honda, fitted with twin turbochargers and producing in excess of 500 horsepower.
Honda's J35Y engine produces 278 horsepower in the Accord, 290 hp in the Acura MDX and 310 hp in the RLX. It also forms the basis for the HR35TT racing engine which Honda Performance Development puts in its Daytona Prototype, so if the rumors turn out to be true, chances are that's probably the engine in question - with the possible addition of a hybrid electric assist - but we'll have to sit tight to find out for sure.
New death linked to Takata airbag crisis, Honda recalls 170k vehicles overseas
Sat, 15 Nov 2014The safety crisis surrounding Takata's exploding airbags continues to expand. In the latest revelation, Honda confirms another death linked to the faulty parts, and the company is expanding its recall of the components. However, none of the newly added vehicles are in the United States.
With the confirmation of this report, there are now five deaths linked to the faulty airbags. According to The New York Times, a pregnant woman in Malaysia was killed on July 27 in a 2003 Honda City when she crashed into another vehicle, and the inflator ruptured. This was the first announced case outside of the US.
The faulty part in the woman's car was reportedly made at a now-closed Takata factory in Georgia, according to the NYT, and it's the first known example from that location. In response, Honda recalled about 170,000 vehicles in Europe and Asia to replace the potentially bad inflators. The latest campaign brings the total number of recalled vehicles worldwide to around 14.3 million units.
