Up for your consideration is my 62 Ford Falcon Pro Street Project.  I got the car from my in-laws with plans to finish it out, but I have other projects I would like to get to so this one needs to go.  It has a Pro built (18K in receipts) chassis which consists of square tubing from the front that joins to round tubing at the firewall.  Roll cage is swept at the doors for easy in access.  Also has really nice sheetmetal work as well.  It is set up for a small block Chevrolet and 400 turbo.  It has a 9 in Ford in the rear and a 3-link rear with coilovers at all 4 corners.  Mustang 2 front end with manual steering.  Also has disc brakes all the way around.

New Parts:

Glastek 4" cowl hood and front and rear bumpers

Flaming river steering column

Master cylinder with custom brake pedal

Steel fuel cell with GM sending unit

Battery box

31 spline Strange axles

Coil over shock front end mustang kit and all rear suspension is new

Weld Pro Star wheels and Mickey Thompson street tires.  Skinnies out front and 29x15.5x15 in the rear

Used:

Good used trunk with no rust (one dent)

Good front fenders with a little surface rust, no "rot through"

Grill and headlight rings

Several sets of front and rear window moldings

Radio delete plate

Right and left doors that need minimal body work

I am sure there are some things I am forgetting.  The car has had rear quarters installed and the only other rust aside from just light surface rust from sitting in my garage is a little at the upper firewall under the top of the front fenders.  The car is set up really nice and I am taking a major hit at my reserve price.  I have around 25K in the car like it sits and all the work up to this point is very nicely done.  Dave Hunt Racecraft here in Virginia did all the work on the chassis and frame.  The front bench seat was also shortened to fit inside the door bars.  I do not have any of the glass other than the glass that is in the used doors and I have not checked their condition.  This is a great start to a nice Falcon and I am sure the buyer would be very happy to own it.  I just don't have the time to finish everything I have going on right now.  Any questions at all please ask them and I would prefer the buyer come take a look at the car to see what they are getting.  Thanks for looking.  Clear title on the car as well.

This unique '64 Mustang was Edsel Ford II's first car

Thu, 02 Jan 2014

You probably had the same dream when you were a teenager. Your sixteenth birthday is coming up, or Christmas, or maybe both, and all you want is a muscle car to call your own. That dream has come true for some, and one of them was none other than Edsel Ford II.
Henry Ford's great grandson turned 16 on December 27, 1964 - two days after Christmas and eight months after the original Mustang went on sale. And that's just what was waiting for him in the driveway, courtesy of his father (and reigning chief executive) Henry Ford II.
The specially-prepared pony car had a pearlescent cream paintjob with narrow blue racing stripes, functional hood scoop, chrome trim, Euro-spec fender-mounted mirrors, a blue leather and aluminum interior, a monogrammed fuel cap... and a 289-cubic-inch V8 under the hood.

2016 Ford Mustang SVT hides big power under its domed hood

Tue, 17 Jun 2014

With a number of 2015 Ford Mustang versions finally available to configure, the fun of speculating about next year's high-performance 'Stang can now begin. It looks like Ford has something seriously fun planned too. One of our spy photographers just snapped some fresh pics of the 2016 Mustang SVT, which is believed to be hiding the final body shape under all of that heavy camouflage.
Ford clearly doesn't want prying eyes looking at its new pride and joy. It would be hard to put much more obfuscation on a car than this one wears - it even has mesh baffles around the exhausts to conceal how many there are and panels over the wheels to hide their design. However, the Blue Oval can't keep everything a secret. The biggest clue that something special is hidden underneath is the massive hood bulge and vent in front of it. Clearly, whatever is under there is hungry for cool air. The shape of the camo indicates that there may be fender vents on each side, and there are also obscured outlets behind the front wheels likely to pull cool air through the brakes. At the rear, the concealment does its job, making it hard to observe any big changes. The fact that Ford wants it kept such a secret might indicate something, though.
A few photos of the interior show far less cover than the outside. You can easily make out the model's 6,500 rpm redline with a possible 7,000 rpm over-rev function. The big Recaro sport seats also look quite supportive.

Ford 3D-printing Mustang out of chocolate and candy for Valentine's Day

Thu, 13 Feb 2014

Is your beloved in love with the new 2015 Ford Mustang? Do they like chocolate (that's a trick question - everyone likes chocolate)? Are they a bit of a futurist? Then this Hallmark holiday, you need to get them this Ford Mustang, 3D-printed in sweet, delicious chocolate.
Ford is teaming with 3D Systems' Sugar Lab in LA to produce the super-accurate pony car confections in both chocolate and sugar candy varieties. The process kicked off with a CAD rendering of the 2015 Mustang, which was then programmed into the 3D printer. After a bit of work from the machine, a four-inch long, two-inch tall Mustang was the result. Why the tieup with 3D Systems, though?
"We wanted to create something fun to show that while 3D printing made these edible Mustangs, manufacturing-level 3D printing was used in the development of Ford's all-new sports car," said Paul Susalla, Ford's supervisor of 3D printing.
