Crate 350 w/Automatic Trans - just a few years old with very low miles (estimating 5500) - engine runs/drives GREAT! Starts immediately. Tracks and drives very well on the highway. Real head-turner and lots of 'thumbs-up'! New tail pipes and lots of chrome everywhere! Currently running on the 'Street-legal' Firestone stock-look tires with 16" 8 lug Wheels and Stainless Rings. SALE INCLUDES A COMPLETE SET OF $5000.00 worth of 49" IROK's ON CHROME RIMS - (see pics) Technically, these tires make the truck frame too 'high' to actually be 'street legal'. With that said, I have driven short distances with the big tires on without an issue. Came with the Lift system when I bought it several years ago, but appears to be done right with air suspension and on-board compressor (designed specifically to accomodate the huge tires - just press a button to raise and lower the body on the frame). The smaller tires essentially make it into a 'driver', much easier to get in-out, and wash etc. Includes a pair of Mint YOM - (Year of Make) Black CA License Plates with an awesome (custom) sticker display frame on the rear - see pics. The power assisted sterring radius is 'incredible' turning right (also good turning left, but not as exceptional) - I was told this could be 'matched' if desired, but I have left that alone because it drives and tracks so well, including on the highway. It has a nice stereo, and very nice interior overall including custom CHROME door panels, ashtray, and glove box. Solid truck overall and runs very well. Lot's of fun. CHP approved the VIN/title transfer (with street tires on) when I bought it several years ago.
1. It's not really critical or even visible, but it needs a "bed floor" - much of the old one is removed already. Maybe something more innovative than wood? (see pics)
2. It needs a "front-drive shaft" to complete the front drive-train (I bought it like this, but it is very drivable without the front wheel drive line). I intend to get this done this year if not sold.
3. The passenger side of the windshied has a few "wiper-marks". I have a complete set of windshield 'stainless' trim to apply upon a future windshield replacement - no rush.
4. It could eventually use a fresh "paint-job" to become the ultimate 'SHOW TRUCK'. There are some minor areas of corrosion to address - but not bad for its age (see images).
5. It has mostly original guages and interior controls (ie: gas guage, odomoter, speed, heater, etc.) - which could stand to be updated or improved. It does have new temp and volts guages.
REASON FOR SELLING:
I am selling it "as-is" and of course without any warranty, but for it's age it is really special and obviously a head turner. I am selling/trading it to get a stock Jeep Wrangler for my wife.
Please contact me if you want to come see it here in Santa Paula, CA or think you have a trade offer - Thanks, James 805-479-5000.

Who sold the most heavy-duty pickups in 2012? PickupTrucks.com investigates
Tue, 26 Feb 2013Domestic manufacturers enjoyed a good year for heavy-duty pickup sales in 2012. PickupTrucks.com has taken a close look at exactly how those sales broke down between each manufacturer and between three-quarter and one-ton pickups. Ford sold some 67,786 F-250 Super Duty models last year with the Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD falling just behind at 56,359 units. The Ram 2500 HD came in third at 41,918, while the GMC Sierra 2500 HD earned itself fourth place with 27,616 deliveries. While Ford held onto the top spot in the one-ton market, Ram easily nailed down second place by selling more 3500 HD models last year than General Motors sold Silverado 3500 HD and Sierra 3500 HD trucks combined.
So, did GM manage to sell more trucks than Ford with its two brands? Very nearly. Ford sold a total of 119,338 heavy-duty pickups to GM's 111,555. Ram, meanwhile, moved a distant 77,583. But perhaps more interesting is the diesel take rate in this segment. PickupTrucks.com says 80 percent of all domestic one-ton trucks roll from the dealer lot with a turbo-diesel under the hood. Head over to the site for a closer look at the breakdown.
New Chevrolet Silverado to be revealed on Facebook on Thursday
Tue, 11 Dec 2012There's not much to see here, but if you're one of those waiting for the reveal of the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, above is the teaser image that Chevrolet posted on its Facebook page. We've seen the truck in form-fitting camo before, and even less can be made out here beyond those seriously punchy Silverado-esque fenders and the knowledge that the projector-beam headlamps teased previously do indeed work. We'll have to wait until Thursday for a full perusal of the "bold exterior design" and "careful attention given to every detail" we've been promised.
Gathering intel and rumors, magnesium and aluminum contribute to the Silverado's weight loss plan, the purported "High Country" top-tier trim will contribute to luxury pickup truck competition and profit margins and the next-generation small-block V8 will contribute to improved fuel economy. On the engine note, there have been rumors of available V6 engines, and when Facebook user John Jones asked "Where's your answer to that EcoBoost Chevy?", the Bowtie replied "stay tuned on the 13th. We think you'll be pleased...".
Along with the "Raise the Bar" tag, Chevrolet says of the Silverado, "You asked, we delivered." You can watch the reveal live on Chevrolet's Facebook page at 9:30 am EST, this Thursday, December 13. The GMC Sierra 1500 will also be there, and we'll see both in person at the Detroit Auto Show in January.
