EXTERIOR:
The exterior body and paint was finished 5 years ago by the previous owner,
in the trucks original two toned Hawaiian Blue / Cameo White finish. The paint
is base coat / clear coat applied, and shows extremely well. The body is
straight, but does have a few small brush touch ups from normal roads chips,
etc. Overall, the exterior paint and body on the truck is a solid 7 out of 10.
Shows extremely well, shines well, and should last the new buyer years to
come! The paint and body would be considered a “very nice driver quality”
paintjob that looks beautiful, but has some very small flaws.
In addition to the newer paint, the truck has recieved the following items in
the last few months:
. Brand new exterior upper and lower trim, Cheyenne Emblems, windshield,
and rear glass with new gaskets, new front and rear chrome bumpers, Brand
new sprayed in bedliner from Tuff Skin, with a 5 year transferrable warranty,
brand new staggered 22x9 and 22x11 chrome Ridler wheels with brand new
tires, Complete grille assembly, bowtie, exterior mirrors, brand new HID ultra
clear headlights, new turn, brake, and backup lenses and bulbs, antennae,
deluxe side markers, wipers, gaskets, and complete trim / hardware front to
back! The paint work is 5 years old, but everything else is either brand new
or was replaced with new parts in the past 4 months. The exterior shows
extremely well, is very clean and tidy, and gets many thumbs up anywhere this
old girl goes!

INTERIOR:
The interior of the truck is 90% brand new , with the exception of the inner cab
paint on the inside of the roof and around the back glass inside the truck
which is original, and in immaculant shape! The complete dash, door jambs,
and doors have been repainted recently and are nearly perfect. The following
items have been restored / replaced with brnad new GM parts within the past
few months:

Brand new factory bench seat reupholsted with brand new foam, and custom
vinyl seat cover with custom done plaid inserts that match the trucks finish
beautifully. Brand new factory style blue loop carpet and jute padding, brand
new dash pad, defrost vents, headliner, and trim , sill plates and hardware,
Lecarra leather wrapped steering wheel with brand new Ididit tilt steering
column painted to match the interior of the truck. Brand new gauge bezel
with restored gauges, needles, and glass. New Custom Auto Sound Retro
radio with auxiliary output, and recessed 6x9 speakers in the door finished
with custom lower door panel covers. New factory door panels, inserts,
handles, clips, hardware, and arm rests, dome light, cig lighter, door to cab
seals, inner door felts, runners, and wing window rubbers, etc. are all brand
new. The interior is stunning against the trucks exterior and ties into the
Cheyenne theme very well! No disappointments here, beautiful interior that is
almost completely new, and shows extrememly well.

DRIVETRAIN:
The truck is an original 68,000 mile box A truck on the body, with a little over
5k miles on a recently installed GM crate 350 motor with 350 horsepower. The
motor is as sound as they come with the following brand new parts:

. Brand new HEI distributor, plugs, and wires.

. Newer water pump, belts, 4 core radiator, heater hoses, and heater core.

. Factory A/C cab truck that has had the original A/C recently completely
switched over from R12 to a modern 134A system by upgrading all hoses,
lines, compressor, dryer, condenser, valves, seals, and o-rings. The A/C blows
ice cold and works perfectly!

. Brand new Edelbrock 600cfm 4 barrel carburator, with new Edelbrock
aluminum performer intake manifold, Newer Hedman headers with 2.5” exhaust
all the way back with new Flowmaster 40 series dual exhaust, side tips, etc.
Sounds Amazing!!!

Mated to the SBC 350 crate motor is a fresh TH350 automatic transmission
that shifts flawlessly and with little effort. New flex plate, torque converter and
bolts. New one piece drive shaft with new u-joints makes its way out to the
trucks factory 12 bolt 373 geared rear end that also works flawlessly and is a
great all around gear for both street and highway use. The trucks drivetrain
has been completely gone through, and is very reliable, sound, responsive,
fast, and fresh - ready for the new owner to enjoy a turn key vehicle and years
of reliable driveability and fun!

beautifully, and handles very well. Additionally, the truck has recieved new
upper and lower ball joints, tie rods, bushings, pitman, and idler arm. All
suspension areas are new, and have been greased, ready for years of service.
. The truck has a newer quick ratio gear box that turns on a dime, and handles
extremely well. New rag joint, and coupler also.

Camaro spy shots show subtly different grille, front fascia

Sun, 03 Feb 2013

It looks like there some changes in store for the Chevrolet Camaro - the only thing is that we just don't know what Chevy has up its sleeve. Looking at these spy shots, we'd initially be inclined to think that there is just a minor facelift or a new special edition, but upon closer inspection, there are a few oddities about this car that definitely have us intrigued.
The most obvious difference on this prototype is the slightly restyled front fascia with a smaller lower air inlet and the two-bar grille. Then we get to some of the car's mysterious details. For starters, this fascia has the SS vent above the grille, but it looks to be blocked off. Granted this could just be a one-off piece used for testing. What really piqued our interest was at the rear of the car where it has quad exhaust outlets that are used on the ZL1. Could this be the LS7-powered Camaro that we reported on back in December?
At this point, your guess is as good as ours as to what we're looking at here, so let us know in the comments what you think this could be.

Automakers score 8 out of top 20 most-watched ads on YouTube [w/videos]

Fri, 14 Dec 2012

Who would have ever thought there'd be a day where people are able to skip television commercials only to go to websites to watch them later? Such is the joy of a DVR and YouTube. AdWeek tabulated the 20 most-watched ads on YouTube, and found that nine were car-related including eight coming from automakers.
Volkswagen continued its Star Wars theme with two ads in the top 20, including the highest-ranking car commercial The Bark Side spot at number three with almost 18 million views, which doesn't even have a single car in it. Some of our favorites are from Chrysler with Clint Eastwood in It's Halftime in America and House Arrest with Charlie Sheen for the Fiat 500 Abarth. Chevrolet, Honda, Audi and Toyota were the other automakers in the top 20, but we'd be remiss if we didn't at least mention one of the coolest ads on the list, the Hot Wheels corkscrew jump.
Of all the car videos, only the Fiat ad wasn't played during a Super Bowl. Check out all eight videos - in order - after the jump. Nike took the top spot with its My Time is Now ad that has been seen online more than 20 million times with Pepsi's Uncle Drew posted up in the runner-up; some of the other videos include four Old Spice commercials and an ad in which Snoop Dogg is pedaling Hot Pockets.

Who sold the most heavy-duty pickups in 2012? PickupTrucks.com investigates

Tue, 26 Feb 2013

Domestic manufacturers enjoyed a good year for heavy-duty pickup sales in 2012. PickupTrucks.com has taken a close look at exactly how those sales broke down between each manufacturer and between three-quarter and one-ton pickups. Ford sold some 67,786 F-250 Super Duty models last year with the Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD falling just behind at 56,359 units. The Ram 2500 HD came in third at 41,918, while the GMC Sierra 2500 HD earned itself fourth place with 27,616 deliveries. While Ford held onto the top spot in the one-ton market, Ram easily nailed down second place by selling more 3500 HD models last year than General Motors sold Silverado 3500 HD and Sierra 3500 HD trucks combined.
So, did GM manage to sell more trucks than Ford with its two brands? Very nearly. Ford sold a total of 119,338 heavy-duty pickups to GM's 111,555. Ram, meanwhile, moved a distant 77,583. But perhaps more interesting is the diesel take rate in this segment. PickupTrucks.com says 80 percent of all domestic one-ton trucks roll from the dealer lot with a turbo-diesel under the hood. Head over to the site for a closer look at the breakdown.
