2009 Pontiac G8 Gxp 6.2 Ls3 Electric Blue Metallic Auto Sunroof on 2040-cars
Springfield, Missouri, United States
I am a motorcycle dealer and this was my personal car. Up for sale is my 2009 G8 GXP. This one is electric blue metallic with an automatic transmission and sunroof. It features the very fast and fun 6.2 LS3 V8. The cars are basically a 4dr corvette. Always garaged and never driven in snow or icy conditions. Bose sound system is amazing. I purchased the car from the original Florida owner. I would keep this car forever but I recently purchased a G8 Firehawk and I do not need both cars. There is one small scrape in the driver side rear fender. Other than that, the car is flawless with 23,350 miles. Please see the pictures and let me know of any questions you have. Car is sold as is with no warranties. Down payment of 1,000 is required within 48hrs unless other arrangements are made PRIOR to purchase. Buyer is responsible for pick up or shipping the car. Thanks for looking and good luck. |

Saturn Vue ignition switch leads to new group of GM recalls totaling 312k
Fri, 08 Aug 2014General Motors has another spate of recalls to announce. This time they cover 312,280 vehicles worldwide, including 269,041 of in the US, in a total of six campaigns. In 2014, the automaker has recalled 29,079,765 vehicles worldwide, with 25,754,356 of those in the US.
The largest among them covers 215,243 units of the Saturn Vue from 2002-2004 model years worldwide, 202,115 in the US. It's possible for the for the key to be removed even when the ignition isn't in the OFF position. The company knows of two crashes and one injury caused by this problem. Dealers are checking the parts and replacing the ignition cylinder and key set, if necessary.
Next is 72,826 models worldwide (48,059 vehicles in the US) of the 2013 Cadillac ATS four-door sedan, 2013 Buick Encore and 2013 Chevy Trax in Canada. It's possible that the for lap belt pretensioner to retract but not to lock, which could increase occupant movement during a crash. Both front, outboard lap belt pretensioners are being replaced, and a stop-sale is in effect on unsold models until the problem is repaired. There are no known crashes or injuries, though.
Lutz says GM was working on 5th-gen Pontiac GTO
Thu, 08 Aug 2013Bob Lutz was one of the forces behind bringing the Holden Monaro to the United States, as the ill-fated Pontiac GTO in 2004. And while that car received critical acclaim, it was a sales disappointment. Now, Road & Track is reporting that our suspicions were correct - Pontiac was working on a two-door, G8-based coupe before it was shuttered.
In that R&T article, which is no longer available online, Lutz explained that the new GTO would solve many of the issues found in the original. Car Advice speculates that the new model would have look like a rebadged version of the Holden Coupe 60 Concept from 2008, a conclusion we also came to.
That car would have been a big departure from the 2004 to 2006 GTO. It has an extremely long hood and short rear deck, with an almost fastback roofline and a wide greenhouse with a tall beltline. The wheel arches were very pronounced, and the chin and rocker panel splitters gave it a race-ready look. Would it have been enough to make the GTO work in the US? We think it might of, but it looks like we'll never know.
