As always,  I will consider any reasonable offer to end early

Since turning 70, my family has been encouraging me to sell most of my personal cars, so I am motivated by them to sell

Back in the 60's,  amongst the 409Chev, the '69GTO, and several other Muscle Cars I was fortunate to own, was a 64 Wildcat 445 2dr Cpe that not only was a real runner, but was a car with a superb ride as well.

Several years ago,  I spotted this Riviera Gran Sport for sale by Jerry Hammer at  GM Obsolete in Phoenix, and I had to own it when I saw that it had the ultra-rare Factory MZ Code  SUPER WILDCAT engine, one of only 179 of these engines ever built by Buick.

Buick only built 179 of these engines  , as a special advertising program ,

and if you don't know about them, you can easily follow these links

The car was a beautiful West Coast survivor that had also been TLC'd and primped by Jerry , who is well known in the Riviera World.  A couple of pictures of it when I acquired it from him are shown.

After unloading it , the car was driven to cruz's and shows, then sent to the CarNut Museum , Birmingham, where it stayed on display for a year or so.

Upon it's return, I decided to upgrade even further the condition of the car,  and so had the White Pearl repaint removed, and returned the car to the correct Buick Artic White.  No cheap paint job,  the car was primered with special DuPont white primer,  and finished with the best DuPont base/clear, with the multiple coats of clear blocked  between coats.  Hood removed, and totally refinished underneath.  New hood insulation pads installed.  The engine compartment was pretty nice when we got it,  but we redid all the black surfaces with a lot of hand sanding and the correct Eastwood Underhood black matte,

The Windshield had a couple of small chips, so I had it removed, and replaced after the paint job

The front and rear bumpers were decent,  but we sent them to Mike in California and had them re-chromed.

When we reinstalled them, all the Silver Argent trim was carefully redone with special base/clear, including the bumper filler pans, top and underneath, and the headlight trim rings.

The interior was in nice condition, except the carpet kick panel on the drivers door had some wear, so we had the upholstery shop professionally replace that piece.

Doorjambs, etc were re-painted , of course,  and new rubber door seals , as well as the trunk seal

The top cowl panel was removed, and refinished underneath, as well as the inside of the cowl area and firewall, with special black matte from Eastwood

As nice as the car is, like all 'survivors, it is not flawless.  The horn ring is missing from the steering wheel..I never thought to look for one. Also I have not replaced the cardboard trunk side panels ( they are still available).  The chrome on the original wheels has a few thin spots,  but looks good overall, and the rare Riviera center caps are in nice condition. The rest of the chrome and stainless is in nice condition except the two small pieces in the rear are a bit pitted ( not so noticeable) , and could be redone in the Winter. The cardboard piece near the inside of the rear window is a bit out of place, but hardly noticeable..  Buick used premium upholstery materials, and the upholstery is in nice condition, with just a small amount of wear on the passenger seat edge-piping.

Besides doing a great job detailing the motor, etc, Jerry did a fine job on the undercarriage, including all new free-flow exhaust. We didn't do any underside refinishing, except the bumper brackets, when we re-installed the bumpers

.

I have obviously tried to be a detailed as possible in describing the car, but please ask questions, as I cannot anticipate, or remember everything.

For the serious buyer, I will supply any pictures desired....

of the pictures I have posted, some are as the car arrived from Phoenix, and heading for the CarNut Museum ... as well as the later pictures back in Artic White ( the wipers were removed for buffing )

I love the car...but at 71years old  ...they say it's time for me to let it go

This car is of investment quality

Stellantis to offer electric versions of most of its European lineup by 2025

Thu, Apr 15 2021

Newly merged automaker conglomerate Stellantis will offer electric versions of almost all of its European lineup by 2025, it said on Thursday, as the auto industry faces regulatory pushes in Europe and China to accelerate the shift to zero-emission cars. Formed in January by the merger of France's PSA and Italian-American group Fiat Chrysler, Stellantis is the world’s fourth largest carmaker with 14 brands including Opel, Jeep, Ram and Maserati, and like its peers faces an investor community keen for a road map to an electric lineup to rival Tesla . Speaking during Stellantis' first annual shareholders meeting, Chief Executive Carlos Tavares said that in 2021 the carmaker expects sales of electrified vehicles — that is, both plug-in hybrids and fully electric models — to more than triple to over 400,000 units in 2021. By 2025, electrified vehicles should make up 38% of European sales, a huge jump from the 14% of sales it expects in 2021. Tavares said by 2030 electric models should make up 70% of European sales and 35% of U.S. sales. He said Stellantis will use four electric platforms for passenger vehicles across its 14-brand empire — small, medium and large sizes for cars, and "frame" for high-margin SUVs and pickup trucks. Sweden's Volvo said this month its lineup would be fully electric by 2030, and Ford Motor Co said in February its lineup in Europe would be too. BMW has said at least 50% of its car sales should be fully-electric models by 2030. Sales of electric and plug-in hybrid cars in the European Union almost trebled to over 1 million vehicles last year, accounting for more than 10% of overall sales. All future Maseratis will borrow styling cues from the MC20

Thu, Sep 10 2020

Maserati's recently-unveiled MC20 coupe points to the direction stylists will take the rest of the company's range in during the 2020s. Its proportions will remain unique – the company isn't about to make the family-friendly Levante mid-engined – but its front end and its pure, simplified approach to design will permeate other models. "The face of the MC20, with the low-mounted grille and the headlights positioned much higher on the fascia, is our new design language," affirmed Klaus Busse, the head of the company's design department. He added it's a look that draws inspiration from past models, including the limited-edition MC12 built between 2004 and 2005. Lighting technology has evolved considerably since the middle of the 2000s, so designers and engineers are now able to use LEDs to give Maserati's future models a more distinctive-looking face, especially at night. Autoblog understands the second-generation GranTurismo scheduled to make its debut in 2021 will be the first MC20-inspired model. Its styling cues will also influenced the Grecale, a smaller SUV positioned below the Levante and possibly related to the Alfa Romeo Stelvio. Maserati's aim isn't to end up with a range of nesting doll-like models that all look the same, so expect to see variations of the MC20 theme as the line-up develops. Busse also shared insight about how his team shaped the MC20 (pictured). Early on, he insisted the car shouldn't receive oversized air inlets or a park bench-sized wing on the back. His team consequently integrated all of the components that create downforce below the axle line, which runs through the middle of the wheels. It's a pure, simple approach to design that will characterize future models, meaning they'll be sporty in a subtle, elegant way. Related Video:

Singapore car salesman jailed for gambling away $280k Maserati deposit

Thu, 10 Jul 2014

Kenny Rogers' country classic The Gambler is right about two things: you gotta know when to hold'em and know when to fold'em. A former Maserati salesman in Singapore is learning that lesson about when to step away from the table, after being sentenced to 33 months in prison for allegedly gambling away a customer's deposit of 350,000 Singapore dollars ($280,800).
According to Asia One, Allan Tan Buan Yuen was selling a Maserati in 2011. He told the customer that the car would take six months to arrive and cost 650,000 Singapore dollars ($522,000). While that may sound high, cars in the Asian country are notoriously expensive.
Yuen asked for a deposit of 150,000 Singapore dollars ($120,400), but instead of handing the money to the dealer, he placed the funds in his own account. Apparently, the customer didn't notice, and over the next few months Yuen received an additional 200,000 Singapore dollars ($160,400) towards the car from him. Clearly, this ruse couldn't last forever, though. When the buyer eventually inquired about his Maserati months later, Yuen admitted that he had already gambled away the entire fortune.
