2001 Ford Ranger Edge extended cab 2WD with EFI small block (SBF) V8 tuned by Aric at Injected Engineering (conservative 246rwhp/303ft-lbs @ 4700 RPM). Scat 331 stroker kit with forged SRP pistons (9.5:1, ready for boost/nitrous), Scat forged rods, and Scat cast crank in a 1992 Mustang 302 block. Twisted Wedge Track Heat aluminum heads (2.02/1.60 valves), Anderson B25 roller cam, 1.6 roller rockers, custom Torque Monster headers, GT40 intake, 24lb injectors, Lightning MAF, custom true dual side-exit exhaust w/ high-flow cats and magnaflow muffler, big 3-core all aluminum radiator, and a 4R70W automatic transmission with modified valve body plate (shifts firm), 8.8 w/ 3.55 gears and freshly rebuilt cobra kevlar posi and SN95 Mustang disk brake conversion. EFI is a reprogrammed 1999 Ford Explorer factory ECU; I took the time to get the passive anti-theft system (PATS) completely operational using parts out of a 98 Explorer and had a key programmed and custom cut to work with the factory locks. All gauges and lights work as they should. New adjustable rear air shocks and heavy-duty rear springs, new factory engine mounts, new alternator; ball joints, tie rods, and front shocks changed just before the engine swap.
Good daily driver with functional heat and AC (new condenser, drier, and seals- blows nice and cold; best "mod" ever for Atlanta in the summer), power steering, cruise control, a factory in-dash 6-disc changer, ABS, power brakes, new front and rear pads with new rear rotors, and plenty of tread on the tires. The engine has about 6000 miles on it but the body/chassis has around 189,XXX miles (driven 40 miles daily, this will go up). The truck passed emissions with the V8 last year and is registered with the state as having a V8 in it; it's not showing any codes on a scan tool and does not have a check engine light on. The truck has a few miles on it and the body and interior show some age, but it's a really decent rust-free southern truck.
For reference, in good condition KBB values this truck at over $5000 with the original 3.0L V6 and I have A LOT more than $4500 in parts into this truck along with a few hundred hours of labor. Injected Engineering in Kennesaw dyno-tuned the fuel injection, is familiar with this truck, and can provide future service, programming, etc... Will also come with several factory Electrical Vacuum and Troubleshooting Manuals (EVTM).
Clean and clear GA title in-hand. Email me if you'd like specific pictures of something.

Ford starting up 2.0L EcoBoost engine production in Ohio
Fri, 22 Feb 2013Joe Hinrichs, Ford's President of The Americas (pictured above), announced today that in late 2014, the automaker will be building the 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder at its Cleveland Engine Plant, a move requiring a $200-million investment and the hiring of 450 new employees. European-built Ford products will continue to source this engine from the Valencia, Spain plant where all of these EcoBoost four-cylinder engines are currently built, and the new Cleveland engines will be used for all North American-made models.
Ford is planning to build its popular EcoBoost engines regionally to maximize production capacity and meet customer demand. Last year, Ford sold 334,364 vehicles with EcoBoost engines in the US alone, and that number is expected to swell to more than 500,000 by the end of this year, with global sales expected to total 1.6 million. By 2015, Ford says that 95 percent of its nameplates will offer an EcoBoost engine.
One such vehicle that could be adding an EcoBoost engine, according to Automotive News, is none other than the 2015 Ford Mustang. The report says that Ford could use either the 2.0-liter EcoBoost or an upcoming 2.3-liter EcoBoost in the sixth-generation pony car.
This woman owns the first Ford Mustang sold in the US
Wed, 11 Dec 2013As Ford celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Mustang with the unveiling of the all-new sixth-gen design, one Chicago women can lay claim to a piece of Mustang history. According to CBS Chicago, Gail Wise was the first person in the US to buy a Mustang in 1964, and she did so two days before the car was even unveiled to the public.
Wise, then a 22-year-old teacher, went into the Chicago Ford dealership wanting to buy a convertible, and a salesperson ushered her over to car covered by a tarp. That car was a baby blue Mustang convertible, which she still owns today - along with the documentation. After sitting for almost 30 years and undergoing a full restoration, the car now looks to be in original condition. The report says that this $3,400 purchase could be worth anywhere between $100,000 and $250,000. While this worked out well for Mrs. Wise, we wouldn't recommend anyone going into a dark, back room of a dealership hoping to get a jump on the purchase of a 2015 Mustang.
