Subaru Legacy pitted against Roadkill project cars

There's an evergreen debate among auto enthusiasts about whether they would prefer to have the latest and greatest car of today or a certified classic from yesteryear. What if you had to further define that, though, and the choice was between a brand new 2015 Subaru Legacy or a turbocharged Datsun 240Z with a hatch that wouldn't close? Roadkill aimed to find out that and more in one of its best videos to date.
According to the hosts, Subaru came to them, handed over some money and challenged Roadkill's project cars against its latest Legacy. The result is every bit as good (or better) than any automotive-themed show you could find on television.
Things start simple with a figure-eight race in a rodeo arena with the Subaru taking on Roadkill's 1968 Ford Ranchero, originally built for ice racing. From there the Legacy races a 1968 Dodge Charger with no windows around and off-road rally stage. Finally, the Subie goes head-to-head against the Rotsun, the aforementioned turbocharged 240Z, through an abandoned neighborhood. Plus, there's a bonus drag race challenging them all.

The Dodge Demon is leaked in Fast 8 video with Vin Diesel

It's only week two of the twelve-part Dodge Demon teaser roll out, and it already appears the metaphorical Hellcat is out of the bag. A YouTube video featuring Vin Diesel discussing The Fate of the Furious ( Fast 8) has what are almost certainly two Dodge Challenger Demons parked right in the background. So much for three months worth of build up and mystique. The two cars in the video appear to have the new logo affixed to the fender, right where the current Hellcat logo resides. In addition, the wheels and the massive hood scoop both appear to be the same relative shape as the ones briefly flashed in the latest teaser video. While we can't be 100 percent certain this is really a Demon, all the evidence points to yes. Even if this spoiled Dodge's plans, actually seeing the car here makes us even more excited for the full reveal. We still don't know all the final specs, save that it'll be 200 lbs lighter, so there is still some mystery to be had. The Challenger and Charger Hellcat twins, some of the most brazen and brutish machines currently on the road, were already cranked up to 11. The Demon, with its wide fender flares and comically large hood scoop looks makes the standard car look tame by comparison. We can't wait. With filming for Fast 8, the eighth installment in the Fast and Furious franchise, well underway, we've gotten some sneak peeks into the actors' vehicles. Dominic Toretto, played by Vin Diesel, will once again get behind the wheel of a Dodge Charger. The Charger, which was revealed as Toretto's ride in Iceland, has been heavily modified and even features a jet turbine. While the V8 sounds amazing, there's no word on what engine lurks behind the Charger's hood.
