2003 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Ext Cab, 4-door 4.3l 20" Ss Wheels, Lowered 2/4 on 2040-cars
Kokomo, Indiana, United States
This is a nice work truck with an "edge" to it. It is a base model, so not PW, PL, PS…bought it that way so I would not have to replace the electronics later:) has the vortex V8, the smaller one, so gets about 15 or so around town, 20+ highway...It has nice 20" SS Replica chrome wheels with good tires, the wheels that are going with the truck are the ones in the main pic, and the one shown in the close up, not the other ones..they are going on new truck. Interior is in nice shape, seats have no rips, back seats are basically new it looks like new. Any questions feel free to ask.. the reserve is set very fair, I really want to sell the truck. -ONCE AGAIN, SOMEONE HIT THE BUY IT NOW PRICE ENDING THE AUCTION AND THEN NEVER PAYS OR RETURNS MY MESSAGES. JUST SO EVERYONE IS CLEAR, THE PAST TWO PEOPLE THAT HAVE COMMITTED TO THE TRUCK AND NEVER PAID NEVER CAME AND SAW THE TRUCK OR ATTEMPTED TO COMMUNICATE WITH ME, JUST DO NOT WANT ANYONE THINKING THEY BOUGHT IT AND THEN BACKED OUT AFTER THEY SAW IT OR SOMETHING -THE TRUCK IS BEING RELISTED DUE TO SOMEONE HITTING THE BUY IT NOW BUTTON AND NEVER RESPONDING TO ME OR PAYING! IF YOU DO NOT PLAN ON PAYING FOR THE VEHICLE PLEASE DO NOT BID. |

Chevy SS prototype spotted wearing Pontiac G8 clothes
Tue, 28 Aug 2012
Do not adjust your computer screen, you are not seeing the rebirth of the Pontiac brand. General Motors has chosen to use a G8 to disguise a test mule for the latest prototype of the forthcoming Chevrolet SS. The G8 was closely related to the Holden Commodore and Vauxhall VXR, the platform upon which the new Chevrolet performance model will be based. It should come as little surprise, then, that GM has opted to use the cladding from the former G8.
Thought the front clip of this mule is pure Pontiac, note the vents immediately behind the front wheel. That is a distinctive design hallmark of the Vauxhall VXR. Also note that this vehicle is right-hand drive, as the Holden and its Chevy counterpart will be very closely related. That likely includes potential drivetrains. The spy photos of this mule also reveal very wide rear tires, and rear wheels that do not match the fronts.
Here's why automakers roll out those Texas-themed pickup trucks
Thu, Sep 29 2016Every year, automakers with a full-size truck link make a big show of the Texas State Fair, usually involving a reveal of a new model. Sometimes they show a whole new truck, and other times a special edition centered on the Lone Star state. While some people might write this off as a quirk of the industry, others might be wondering, "What's the big deal with Texas?" As it turns out, part of the big deal with Texas is big truck sales. According to Dave Sullivan, product analysis manager at AutoPacific, Texas buys more trucks than any other state in the country. It's not a small margin either. Edmunds.com, one in five trucks sold in the US are sold in Texas. The state also accounts for 15 percent of the country's large truck sales, which is more than twice that of California, the second largest truck market in America. Even when you break down sales only in Texas, trucks are a huge piece of the pie - Sullivan says that a quarter of new vehicle sales in Texas are trucks. One in five trucks sold in the US are sold in Texas. But it's not just sales that make truck builders give attention to Texas. As Sullivan explained, "Pickups are life in Texas." Both he and Hugh Milne, marketing and advertising manager for the Chevy Silverado line, said that trucks are key fixtures in Texas society, as both work trucks and luxury vehicles (or Texas Cadillacs as Milne called them). Milne said Texas is so important in the truck market that if you want to be successful in the rest of the country, "you've got to be successful in Texas." As for the State Fair, it has become a prime location for reveals in part because of the importance of the Texas market and because of how big the fair is. Milne also revealed that the State Fair also hosts its own auto show, so it's an ideal venue for a vehicle introduction. So there you have it. Why do truck builders obsess over Texas? It's because Texas obsesses over trucks. When you have one market that loves your product that much, you give it the attention it deserves. GM sweetens military discount for Buick, Chevy and GMC
Sun, 06 Oct 2013American servicemen and women interested in a new vehicle from Chevrolet, Buick or GMC now have a bit more incentive to head down to their local dealer, as General Motors has announced plans to improve its military discount program.
The new GM Military Discount Program offers eligible consumers a new Chevy, Buick or GMC at invoice pricing, which in some cases can take very large chunks out of a car's retail price. When factored in with other incentives, most of which are available with the Military Discount, the bargains are thick on the ground for members of the US armed forces.
GM's Retail Sales and Marketing Support general manager, Chuck Thomson, said, "GM has long supported the military and military families, and we hope this simplified and enhanced discount will show our appreciation for their service and help make it easier for them to own one of our great new vehicles." The program is open to all active duty and reserve members in the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, National Guard and Coast Guard, as well as veterans that have been out of the service for less than a year. Military retirees and their spouses are also eligible for the discount.
