1971 Nova COPO tribute bench seat sleeper. Car is disguised as a stock 396 but is really a balanced and blue printed full roller 468 big block ground pounder  with quick fuel 950 carburetor. 60 over Speed pro pistons. 9:5:1 compression. Comp cams extreme energy hydraulic roller xr282hr cam. .510 lift. Roller lifters and roller tip rockers. ARP rod bolts. Engine was built in September 2011 using all new parts with receipts. Endless power. Heavy duty multiple leaf rear with rebuilt 12 bolt posi. 3:31 gears with all GM guts. Rare HD turbo hydromatic 475 out of a motor home built to handle 1000 H.P. Hughes 2500 stall converter. This car is from Arizona.  All original body. Arrow straight. No rust or rot. Mint bumpers. Brightwork  is very nice. Paint is 5 years old and drive train is under 2 years old with under 2000 miles. Paint has around 5000 miles on it. Paint does have some normal road wear associated with being driven 5k miles. Shows very well  and is a crowd pleaser but I would consider this a high end driver. Professionally installed new glass all the way around car. Car runs excellent and is scary fast. Very plush riding car. Interior is mint. Has aftermarket CD player. After market dash gauge cluster and B&M ratchet shifter. Drive anywhere. No roll cage and never been cut up. I have most of the documentation on the engine build and receipts for parts. Under side of car is just as clean as top. Restored old school slapper bars, full 3" stainless PYPES exhaust with X pipe and race pro mufflers. New gas tank and sending unit. Power disc brake car. Brakes are excellent. New quick ratio manual steering box and rag joint. 15" Wheel vintiques steelies with poverty caps. BFG Radial TA's. Excellent condition. Rear tires are 255 60 15 with absolutely no rubbing issues. If you want to go with bigger tires the rear wheel lips have been rolled. Can't tell until you feel under it. 4 core aluminum radiator with remote fan. Coated headers. High torque starter ect. This car was put together paying lots of attention to detail and is neat as a pin. It gets a lot of attention. Please check out the 3 videos of car on the youtube link I have attached. Please ask any and all questions before bidding. Thank you. Horn works but is temperamental. Same with the glove box door. Heat works great but the blower motor lever is stuck on off. Leave as is or take a few hours and fix, new owner can decide. I am open to REASONABLE offers and reserve the right to end the auction at anytime. Reason for the sale is I just do not use it that much. Clean clear title in my name. If you want to contact me about any detail of the car you can call 781-330-1104.

Just the right Camaro can change your life

Thu, Jan 22 2015

Not many people can say that their car directly motivated them into a career, but that's exactly the case for Adam Martin and his 1968 Chevrolet Camaro that he calls Lucy. Martin bought the pony car in primer when he was just 16, and it helped foster his profession in restoring classic cars. Beyond just being a very cool ride for a teenager, every change to Lucy was an opportunity to hone a new automotive skill for Martin. Whether figuring out how to paint a car or building the 454-cubic-inch (7.4-liter) big block V8, the Camaro offered a platform for experimentation. This latest episode of Petrolicious gets personal about the bond between man and machine for this 18-year ongoing project. And even if the story doesn't immediately grab you, Lucy has a great voice and can do a mean burnout. Best car infotainment systems: From UConnect to MBUX, these are our favorites

Sun, Jan 7 2024

Declaring one infotainment system the best over any other is an inherently subjective matter. You can look at quantitative testing for things like input response time and various screen load times, but ask a room full of people that have tried all car infotainment systems what their favorite is, and you’re likely to get a lot of different responses. For the most part, the various infotainment systems available all share a similar purpose. They aim to help the driver get where they're going with navigation, play their favorite tunes via all sorts of media playback options and allow folks to stay connected with others via phone connectivity. Of course, most go way beyond the basics these days and offer features like streaming services, in-car performance data and much more. Unique features are aplenty when you start diving through menus, but how they go about their most important tasks vary widely. Some of our editors prefer systems that are exclusively touch-based and chock full of boundary-pushing features. Others may prefer a back-to-basics non-touch system that is navigable via a scroll wheel. You can compare it to the phone operating system wars. Just like some prefer Android phones over iPhones, we all have our own opinions for what makes up the best infotainment interface. All that said, our combined experience tells us that a number of infotainment systems are at least better than the rest. WeÂ’ve narrowed it down to five total systems in their own subcategories that stand out to us. Read on below to see our picks, and feel free to make your own arguments in the comments. Best infotainment overall: UConnect 5, various Stellantis products Ram 1500 Uconnect Infotainment System Review If thereÂ’s one infotainment system that all of us agree is excellent, itÂ’s UConnect. It has numerous qualities that make it great, but above all else, UConnect is simple and straightforward to use. Ease of operation is one of the most (if not the single most) vital parts of any infotainment system interface. If youÂ’re expected to be able to tap away on a touchscreen while driving and still pay attention to the road, a complex infotainment system is going to remove your attention from the number one task at hand: driving. UConnect uses a simple interface that puts all of your key functions in a clearly-represented row on the bottom of the screen. Tap any of them, and it instantly pulls up that menu.

Pics Aplenty: Meet the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra [w/poll]

Thu, 13 Dec 2012

Today was a pretty big day for General Motors, debuting the all-new Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra light-duty pickup trucks ahead of their official showcase at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. And now that the dust has settled at GM's big reveal event, we've had a chance to snap dozens of photos of the new pickup pair from every angle.
We already told you the important bits earlier today (click here in case you missed it), but let's recap. Under the hood are three new engines - a 4.3-liter V6, 5.3-liter V8 and 6.2-liter V8 (you know, a version of the small-block that'll also be found under the hood of the C7 Corvette), all mated to six-speed automatic transmissions. The 2014 model year marks the return of the Z71 off-road package with Rancho shocks, front tow hooks and beefier underbody protection. Inside, there's a host of new technology and a greater focus on better quality and refinement.
Some of the nitty-gritty specifics (like engine output numbers and fuel economy) have yet to be revealed, and since we haven't driven the finished products yet, it's hard to say how these trucks will fare against rivals like the Ram 1500 and Ford F-150. For now, we can only judge these two books by their covers, and while we do like the designs of the new trucks, we Autoblog staffers are torn on exactly which one looks best.
