Here is a nice 69 Base Chevelle that could be built to your dream car. It is a base Chevelle (307) two speed powerglide car from the factory. The color was green (now blue) with black interior. It now has a rebuilt running 396 (1972) it has been enhanced but I don't know the horse power. The powerglide has been rebuilt as well and the car does drive (nice to move it or load it on a trailer). It has two new rear quarters on the car, that were professionally installed and they look great. The doors have bubbling, see pics, (passenger side) but look good from the inside, no patches or bondo. The front quarters look great and the pictures show that. It also has a SS hood installed and is in great shape. The trunk lid is in great shape as well. The front windshield is cracked and needs replaced. The convertible top is manual and moves up and down with no problems. The car needs patch repair or replacement in the floors and trunk. The frame looks great and so do the rocker panels. Some parts come with the car and the picture shows them. The seats are there as well. The back seat has been reupholstered in black. the fronts need done. Have the title in hand, was going to finish it myself but we are relocating and don't have room for the car in the new location. The car is in Springfield, MO. Are you the 2014 Corvette Grand Sport?
Thu, 21 Feb 2013When are stripes more than just stripes? Follow up question: Is the product development team at Chevrolet really cocky enough to hide the next C7 Corvette variant in plain sight? This very recently spotted, and ostensibly obscured C7 asks a lot more questions than it answers, but there's at least some evidence to support that it might be the next Corvette Grand Sport.
The first and most obvious tip-off that something is up with this 'Vette revolves around those silver stripes. Obviously the stripes themselves don't necessarily denote a new model. However, when Chevy recently launched its "colorizer" website for the Stingray, there was no provision made for racing stripes - solid colors only.
Grand Sport exhibit number two is actually an incriminating lack of badges. The production Corvettes we've seen to date have all carried Stingray badges on their fenders, just behind the vent. The car seen in these images has no such badges, which is an intriguing omission on an car that looks like a production-spec vehicle otherwise.
NHTSA could add 1M cars to GM recall

The Detroit Free Press is reporting that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration may expand a recall campaign for faulty brake lamps. The agency is currently looking into complaints that certain 2004-2011 Chevrolet Malibu models as well as some 2007-2009 Saturn Aura sedans may have brake lights that do not illuminate when the driver presses the pedal. Alternatively, the lamps may also illuminate without input from the driver. General Motors recalled 8,000 Pontiac G6 models from the 2005 model year for the same problem, and NHTSA is currently investigating whether to add 550,000 more G6 models built between 2005 and 2009 to the list for the same issue.
In addition, investigators are currently examining 97 complaints from Malibu and Aura owners with the same trouble. If NHTSA adds those models to the recall campaign, more than one million units could be covered. GM, meanwhile, says there have been no accidents or injuries as a result of the problem.
GM recalling 426,000 sedans over faulty transmission shift cable
Fri, 21 Sep 2012General Motors is recalling some 426,240 sedans that may have a faulty transmission shift cable, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report this morning. The recall concerns a fault within four-speed automatic transmissions equipped on 2007-2010 Saturn Aura models, and 2008-2010 Chevrolet Malibu and Pontiac G6 models.
The report specifies that tabs on the transmission shift cable may fracture and separate. Such a fault could cause a discrepancy between the actual position of the transmission and the apparent position of the shift lever.
GM is currently working to notify owners of the vehicles in question, and dealers will check and replace shift cables free of charge. Scroll down to read the complete NHTSA report.
