Serious Buyers Only Please. International buyers welcome.

2009 Escalade with LOW MILES 22K.   For other pics Please call 8O16471O12 or send me your email. This vehicle spent most of its life "occasionally" being driven in Southern California.  The miles are low due to the other half dozen flat black vehicles that were driven more often by this couple. That and during the off season family spent a lot of time out of the country. I would love to keep it but its a little flashy for my conservative wife and kids (actually the kids vote to keep but the wife wins.)   There was no expense spared by this custom shop on the west coast that did most of the upgrades  which include 26 inch wheels, 2 inch lowered suspension, flat or matt black paint, sound system, etc. all professionally done.  I figure roughly about $130k originally invested when keys were turned over and it is a blast to drive and sure turns heads.  Although in Utah I kept it inside always and rarely drove it during the past winter.  Tires only have a few thousand miles on them. Has all the bells and whistles...retractable running boards, dual DVD, navigation, sound system etc...  I only mention the celebrity owned because the work that was done was quality and well done.  There are a few minor flaws but for over 20k miles looks amazing.  One tiny ding in the right read quarter area about the size of a pencil eraser.  The front bumper has a couple minor nicks etc. from normal wear and tear very small.  A little piece of paint has peeled off the door handle under the lever not easy to see just a little larger than a quarter (quote of couple hundred to redo).  No real door dings or major scratches/flaws. Just a couple tiny hard to notice.  We spend a lot of time in the summer at a summer cabin (dirt roads/beach etc. and I just cant use this and see it get beat up).  It needs to go to someone who will appreciate a one of a kind and who likes something different than anyone else out there.  If you like to name drop I will show the buyer a couple other things about the previous owner which I was politely asked not to include in this listing.  Sound system is awesome but my kids pushed some buttons recently and I need a techy to help me turn it back on.
I work in the shipping industry and although do not deal much with car transports I know a couple experts and can get you a rough quote if you will tell me where you live. It will be shipping from the Salt Lake City area (unless you would like to drive it home). You can call 8O16471O12 if you want a ship quote over the phone also.  Roughly $1000 to $1200 to east coast, $800 to midwest, and $500-600 western area depending just to give an idea.

Please feel free to come and see/inspect anytime. I can pick up from airport no problem.  I had this sold previously in upper 50's but when it came time to come up with all the funds I think someone bit off more than they could chew so please please serious (qualified) buyers only so we do not waste each others time.

I have this vehicle listed for sale or trade locally or combination of both so I reserve the right to end the listing anytime if the right offer is presented locally.  This vehicle is sold as is where is with no warranties expressed or implied.  Will accept bank wire transfer, cash in person or even major bank cashiers check that can be verified locally.

Please if you have any other questions I will make myself available over phone or in person.  I will also share with the buyer a great hookup for the custom wheels/tires where to buy them wholesale for surprisingly great deal if needed in the future.
I will try and figure out how to make thevideo available that I took if I can figure out how to make it work for viewing.

Cadillac to fight Audi A3, Mercedes CLA with small rear-drive sedan?

Mon, 18 Aug 2014

Compact luxury sedans are fast becoming the trend among upscale automakers. Mercedes has the new CLA (and its many platform-mates), BMW has the 1 Series and 2 Series, Audi has the A3 and, though Lexus apparently isn't interested in anything smaller than its CT 200h, Infiniti is getting in on the action with a compact model of its own. It would only follow logically, then, that Cadillac should launch a competitor, and according to the latest reports, that's just what it has in store.
Speaking with Car and Driver, Cadillac marketing chief Uwe Ellinghaus confirmed that such a project is in the works. But unlike its rivals, Cadillac aims to go with a rear-wheel-drive layout. This despite research that apparently indicates that a surprising 80 percent of owners think that their BMW 1 Series is front-drive. It's the driving dynamics and styling proportions that motivate Ellinghaus and his colleagues to stick with rear-drive, however.
The new model would in all likelihood be based on the same GM Alpha architecture that underpins the ATS and CTS - a platform that has helped Cadillac keep the weight down on both models and which is expected to underpin the next-generation Chevy Camaro, as well. The sub-ATS could be positioned as a four-door 2+2, however, as the ATS grows a little larger in its next iteration in order to make room for its new baby brother.

Super Bowl LVII car commercial roundup: Watch them all here

Mon, Feb 13 2023

Fewer automakers than usual spent money advertising during Super Bowl LVII. In total, there were only five traditional ad spots from three big OEMs. A number of car-adjacent ads aired during the Big Game, too, and we’ll bring you those ads in this roundup alongside the more obvious ones. WeÂ’ve compiled all of the automotive-related commercials for you here in this post so you donÂ’t have to go searching for them elsewhere. Read on below to see what aired as the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Philadelphia Eagles. Ram's Super Bowl spot offers a cure for 'Premature Electrification' This commercial revealed the new electric Ram Rev pickup, and itÂ’s themed like a prescription ad for an antidote to "Premature Electrification.” A concerned narrator in the Ram spot asks if you're afraid that going electric too soon will mean "you might not be able to last as long as you like," and there's a guy on a pier who's going to need some new equipment if he wants to catch fish. We're also told there are "options being designed to extend range in satisfying ways," so if this truck isn't right for you, you have choices. All the commercial's missing is a silly medical marketing name and six seconds of speed-reading gibberish about side effects like intestinal bleeding and death. Which are two more good things. Jeep 4xe Super Bowl commercial highlights modern version of 'Electric Boogie' JeepÂ’s “Electric Boogie” commercial follows the Wrangler 4xe and Grand Cherokee 4xe in a variety of simulated off-road situations. Though fun, the soundtrack is the real star of the show. The songÂ’s original artist, Marcia Griffiths, was joined by Grammy winner Shaggy, Jamila Falak, Amber Lee, and Moyann on the track. The modernized re-recording celebrates 40 years since GriffithsÂ’ original track, and Jeep says the track is available for streaming now. Kia returns to the Super Bowl with the tale of 'Binky Dad' This year, Kia follows the adventure of "Binky Dad" in his quest to fetch his daughter's lost pacifier, which naturally takes him over just about every bit of terrain you might encounter upon leaving the civilized confines of Southern California for the not-so-civilized mountains of ... probably also California. It features the refreshed 2023 Kia Telluride, which probably doesnÂ’t need much advertising to see these days, but Kia went for it with the strong three-row SUV anyway.

Why Cadillac needs a real truck in its lineup

Mon, Aug 31 2015

Premium brands such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Lexus, and Cadillac sell vehicles that cover the spectrum from car to crossover to SUV. But trucks? They remain the last frontier when it comes to luxury brands. These days Chevy, GMC, Ford, and Ram sell cheap, bare-bones work trucks alongside loaded models that top $75,000. There is a reverse elitism that comes with this sales tactic. A brand gets to reflect a rugged working class lifestyle with the emblem up front, while what's behind it costs as much as a small house in middle America. But Americans who spend big money on cars and SUVs have always gradually tailed towards luxury nameplates over time. Everyone knows what an Escalade is, and thanks in large part to that image the Escalade is now the best-selling fullsize luxury SUV in the USA. Cadillac's flagship model, along with its midsize luxury crossover, the SRX, routinely outsell the competition from Audi, Mercedes, and BMW, not to mention Ford's Lincoln brand and most of the Japanese rivals. With trucks already dominating overall sales and headed into the pricing stratosphere, I believe it's time for Cadillac to consider a fullsize truck. And no, not a lipstick version that merely takes a Chevrolet Silverado pickup and throws in a few leather seats and some slight interior touches. That experiment already failed both for Cadillac (the Escalade EXT) and for Ford's Lincoln brand (Blackwood, Mark LT). Cadillac is an American brand that currently focuses a ridiculous amount of energy and resources trying to compete with European car offerings. The brand needs to create the Cadillac of trucks. Head honcho Johan de Nysschen has been blunt in his desire to "restore Cadillac to the pinnacle of global premium brands, not in sales but in aspirational brand character." This sounds well and wonderful. But the present problem in achieving this goal is that, on a global basis, Cadillac is a failed brand. Look at Europe, where Cadillac has sold so poorly in recent years that former Soviet manufacturer Lada managed more new registrations in 2014 by a factor of more than four to one. Cadillac is an American brand that currently focuses a ridiculous amount of energy and resources trying to compete with European car offerings. After more than 20 years of Cadillac models selling themselves as import killers, the only one with sustained success has been the CTS, and even that has been a marketplace loser for the last several years. The CTS-V?
