2007 Acura TL Type-S Sedan 4-Door V6 3.5 Liter VTEC Automatic FWD On January 11, 2014 I ordered an AutoCheck score... and this car has received a 93! I can provide the paperwork with this score if you are interested in the vehicle. This car was purchased from Acura of Manhattan in 2009 with 21,088 miles. This car has had only two owners; I am the second owner of the car. The car has some wear and tear just from usage; however, it has all original parts and it is in excellent condition (please look at photos for further details). This Acura has received maintenance eery 3-months or 3000 miles for the entirety of its life. Any mechanic will tell you that its in great shape! The car will receive a cleaning, wax, and buff upon sale, as well as a routine maintenance. The car has a clean title, and an existing warranty with Acura of Manhattan. Honda recalling 405K vehicles over airbag issue
Thu, 19 Sep 2013Honda is in hot water due to an airbag glitch that is causing it to recall 405,400 vehicles. According to the campaign, the supplemental restraints might fire for no apparent reason. 342,000 of the affected vehicles are 2003 and 2004 Odyssey minivans, which gels with a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation we reported on in June.
Joining the Odyssey in the recall is the Acura MDX, with 63,400 units covered from the 2003 model year. Unlike the van, though, the MDX's recall covers Japan and Australia, in addition to the US and Canada. Both vehicles are suffering from an airbag control unit that is prone to malfunction when exposed to electrical noise, a condition that can cause the airbags to deploy without warning. Although no crashes have been reported in such scenarios, there have been some injuries typical of airbag deployment - abrasions and such.
Honda will be mailing recall notices to owners near the end of October, asking them to bring their vehicles into the dealership for installation of an electrical noise filter. The repair will take about an hour and be free of charge. Scroll down for the official announcement from Honda.
Honda recalling 204k CR-V, Odyssey, Acura RDX models over rollaway risk
Fri, 19 Apr 2013Honda has announced a recall over a possible rollaway risk that affects 204,169 crossover and minivan models. The specific vehicles in question are the 2012-13 Honda CR-V and Odyssey, as well as the 2013 Acura RDX.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, "the brake-shift interlock blocking mechanism may become slow and allow the gear selector to be moved from the Park position without pressing the brake pedal." In other words, these vehicles could unintentionally roll away.
NHTSA states that this scenario may only happen during sub-freezing temperatures, but notes that this means the vehicles fail to conform with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 114: Theft Protection and Rollaway Prevention. Honda will notify owners of the problem, and dealerships will install an updated interlocking mechanism free of charge.
Honda recalling 871,000 SUVs and minivans over rollaway fear
Wed, 12 Dec 2012Honda is recalling 871,000 SUVs and minivans for an issue in which the vehicles may roll away after the key has been removed from the ignition. Ninety-two percent of the recalled vehicles, or 807,000 vehicles, are in the US. According to a report from Reuters, the effected vehicles include certain numbers of the Honda Odyssey and Pilot, as well as the Acura MDX. Here are the recall figures:
