6/96 Acura Integra GSR V-Tech 1.8 5spd
Bought this car new in 1997 with 43 miles on it, It has been a super reliable car, It's wife owned and operated. It has a alpine 6disk cd changer and running the same stock deck, front right speaker is a rocksford fosgate i think? but it sounds distorted (blown out) but still works, It's never had an aftermarket stereo (deck) in it. Replace speakers years ago. It leaks oil out the front crank seal some times their is nothing and other times their is a1x1 inch puddle, I did change the oil pan gasket thinking it would fix the oil leak , but it didn't. and between 3000-3200 rpm it makes a noise, I cant explain it what it sounds like.......exhaust maybe?......but it's been making that for years, I just am saying that so when you get it you know about it. it has been serviced every 3000 miles, It has a new clutch about a month ago and fuel filters, 25,000 miles ago New water pump and timing belt, valve cover gasket, Rear Trailing arm bushings, motor mounts, tranny mounts, tires, all paper work that is came with new (window stickers, manual etc........Wife would like a new car, and so we are listing this one, It is a every day driver and greats milage, the milage on the car is 156,821 but since we use it by the time this aution is over should not have more than 156,900. It has dings, scratches, dirty carpet, drivers door lock acts up every once in a while, Power antenna works but could use a new one, they are rebuildable, handles and drives straight down the road and easy to turn, as your driving it you can let go of the stearing wheel and it drives straight down the road unless the road is crowned, you can car fax the vin # JH4DC2385TS004929 let me know what is say's, I have never car faxed this car, I wouldn't hessitate to drive this car anyware, I am sure i am missing some other stuff about it, Its fun, reliable and easy to drive, I have never sold a car on ebay so shipping?.........Overseas shipping i wouldn't recommend it?......... but I would look into it for you, 500.00 down end of auction, and the rest with in 7-10 days after the auction. upon request i will check into shipping this car threw the trucking company you have in mind? I will be glad to bring it to them as long as its paid in full and let you know an ETA, and insurance on shipping it. If you have any questions please ask, Thank You |

2017 North American Car, Truck, and Utility of the Year entries announced
Wed, Jul 6 2016Over 40 vehicles will compete for the 2017 North American Car, Truck, and Utility of the Year awards. If that name looks a little strange, it's because the competition added a third category. In years past, pickup trucks, crossovers, SUVs, commercial vans, and minivans competed for the same award. That's why there were occasionally weird comparisons, like last year's competition between the Volvo XC90 and Nissan Titan XD. The new format separates pickups and commercial vans into the truck contest and CUVs, SUVs, and minivans into the utility competition. A complete list of eligible vehicles is below, but here are a few highlights. For one, the entire list of entries has a luxurious lean. Of the 43 vehicles, nearly half of them are from premium brands. There are two eligible Bentleys – the Bentayga and Mulsanne – the Rolls-Royce Dawn, Jaguar F-Pace, Audi Q7, and the Mercedes-Benz GLS-, E-, and S-Class Maybach. The performance ranks are lofty, too, with the Audi R8, Acura NSX, Alfa Romeo Giulia, Mercedes SL- and SLC-Class, Porsche 718, and F-150 Raptor. The mainstream entries are just as comprehensive. From the Chrysler Pacifica to the Chevrolet Cruze to the Fiat 124 Spider to the Mitsubishi Mirage, NACTOY has covered an enormous price range with this year's contestants. Of course, these are only the eligible vehicles. They'll need to run through three rounds of judging, starting in September at NACTOY's traditional Hell, MI, test drive. The Canadian and American journalists involved in the judging will announce this year's nine finalists – three in each category – on December 6. 2013 Acura ZDX
Wed, 09 Oct 2013What Is, What Could Have Been, And What May Yet Be
History is largely unkind to losers. That's true in the world of politics and sports, and it follows on with a few caveats in the realm of automobiles.
In terms of cars, historic losers tend to be remembered in one of two broad ways. Every once in a while, unsuccessful or oddball models actually make reputational gains after some time away from the new-car marketplace. I consider the Saab 9-2X one of the recent poster children for this group; a car that moved like molasses on dealer lots in the mid-2000s but has morphed into a sort of hard-to-find, used gem in recent years. More often, though, that which was unloved when new remains unloved with tens or hundreds of thousands of miles on the odometer. Pontiac's seriously misunderstood Aztek has king status here (despite the wailings of oddball fan clubs across the nation), so much so that invoking "Aztek" as a pejorative stopped being pithy about a dozen years ago.
Daily Driver: 2015 Acura TLX
Sat, Jul 4 2015Daily Driver videos are micro-reviews of vehicles in the Autoblog press fleet, reviewed by the staffers who drive them every day. Today's Daily Driver features the 2015 Acura TLX, reviewed by Seyth Miersma. You can watch the video above or read a transcript below. Watch more Autoblog videos at /videos. Show full video transcript text Hey all, this is Seyth with Autoblog and I'm here in the 2015 Acura TLX. Right off the bat I can tell that the TLX doesn't feel anything like as sporting a sedan as the TL it replaced, at least not in the versions that I last drove, which admittedly were TL's with V6 power and the SH all wheel drive. This TLX has got a 2.4-liter, four-cylinder engine, it's making 206 horsepower, and 182 pound-feet of torque, and it is connected up to a eight-speed, dual-clutch transmission. As you can tell by the power output this isn't an impressively fast car. It weighs about 3,500 pounds so it's lugging around some weight. At the same time the eight-speed transmission is really responsive especially as you go through the selectable gear programs, you can make the throttle response pretty good. It is a throttle by wire as well and I haven't noticed any weirdness there, it feels very linear, and like I said, when I turned the system into the sport plus mode the gas pedal becomes really responsive. The exhaust note is muted, you really have to get up over 5,000 rpm before you start feeling like the engine is really pushing you. One of the things that struck me first about this Acura when I got in it was how quiet it was at speed. I feel like in the luxury segment, Acuras have historically done a little bit better for being sportier versions of cars in their segment and not necessarily more refined, but that seems to have been changing a lot on the last few generations of Acura. What it lacks in athletic ability it makes up for in composure. I'm on a pretty good right now, there are plenty of bad ones around where I live so this suspension soaks up a lot of the impacts and it dampens the sound of them as well too. Acura is clearly going after a much more mainstream customer these days and I think a car like this could be very attractive, more attractive than ever for a shopper of something like a Lexus ES. One feature I did play around with was Acura's active lane keep assist which works actually by moving the steering wheel to a degree to keep you centered in your lane if your hands are off the wheel.
